Panic
The screams of the broken echoed forth
The pain of the wounded bellowed
We prayed for redemption
We prayed for silence
Firecrackers whirled in the distance
Ears ringing
Endless searching for hidden safety
Hearts beat in rhythmic panic
The world I once knew shattered in an instance
