"And Sitting Down, They Watched Him There"

And sitting down, they watched Him—
The Son of God upon the tree,
A rugged cross not carved for Him,
But meant for someone just like me.
They gazed and stared, but never knew
The weight He bore, the love so true.

That cross was mine by every right,
Yet in His mercy, love took flight.

our governor knows that there is no afterlife

he stands in his suit,
blue tie hanging like a noose,
smiling with dead teeth,
signing papers that send
another man, another woman,
into the dirt.

he’s forgotten the line:
thou shall not kill.
no grey area, no loophole.
he pretends justice,
but it’s only blood

IF THERE WERE NO POETS

The world would drown in chaos
men devouring the scalps of men
where vices crown themselves as kings
and virtue fades into dust.

If there were no poets
faith would be stripped of breath
a story told by scholars only
no Bible, no Torah, no Quran.

It is the poet who shapes the world
not with laws of gravity or motion
but with tender reins

Fly Systems

A paradox - is there an escape?

Trapped in a box of the oppressors mind 
A paradoxical sentence where we don't get to survive 
Silence a promise to a world outside
Compliance a prison confined till we die 

Discombobulated choices
Either way each decision an enemy 
A fight for survival 
The endgame autonomy 
But freedom is a prize - unsure if we will win

Many, many times in the Bible
God says that there is
And one is my favourite
A glorious there is.

Come, come to a psalm 
One-thirty it is
Fourth verse shouts it out

Forgiveness with You!
Forgiveness with You!

Praise the Lord! There really is!

I have ears covered. 
And angry ankles with socks. 
Just a hospital.
It flew endlessly. 

Dreams can be like tank tops. 
Comfy and have designs sometimes. 
Yet they are as empty as that water bottle in the corner. 
Dragging us around. 

That week?
We rode on top of our ankles. 
To the hospital. 
And then a week

Not here, not there

Everything

already is

immediately

not here

nor there~~



A

dog bark 

seems to break

the silence

also the cricket~

and the silence is

nothing broken~~



Search is

the initiation of all

apparent movement

a never-ending story~~



Unowned

thoughts are

plentiful

and seem to

cover the gamut:

rock-solid beliefs

spiritual soarings

awakenings

I and me and

well~

owning a thought~



Thoughts

of nothing

are immediately

gone~~

Hark! Who Goeth There?

Me Thinketh you Doth Puteth a spell on me!

There Is Sanity

There is sanity 
In my madness, 
If only it could be found, 
For you’ll find 
My ravings if unravelled, 
Are actually quite profound.

There Was An Old Woman

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe 
She had so many children, she didn't know what to do 
So, she tied up some children with her shoelaces 
Even the boy who wore his leg braces 
She put them all down, in the cellar with no light 
And chopped off the head of

What's left when there is nothing left

The stench of shame fills the air
Tears fallen choked her words
Laying in a pool of red
Her massa had stolen her innocence 
Bruises decorated her already scarred flesh
A mark of ownership

A sinister smirk sends shivers
As the white man admires his coloured canvas
Pride engulfs him
Watching her struggle against the shackles
Her screams silenced by his hands around her

Both in fairness and right

The days of "Good Faith" were enacted
To ensure all people of both
Populated regions to stand down and 
Withdraw from the actions of current
Conditions in the light of
Diplomacy. 
Ignoring current conditions might
A unified stance on both parts might bring a condition
Of calm that causes the unity of
All to
See the future. 
When all want peace in every

The chains are still there you've just got to look closer

Stalked all their life 
Stained by a crime not committed 
A permanent mark on black skin
A reminder how we will never fit in
Labelled as criminals
Despite being exonerated 

Probation was for those in need of reformation 
Not those who already good behaviour 
But any chance to stereotype 
The oppressors will take their chance
To keep the invisible
