There ought to be a law against it.

There ought to be a law against it,
Definitely not a good fit,
To pass a law without a way to enforce it.

There ought to be a law against it,
Allowing some brainless twit,
To think of it,

There ought to be law against it,
Passing a law without local input,
To make nonsense of it.

There ought to be a law against it,
When a law change allows only lawyers to profit,
And productivity stalls because of it.

There ought to be a law against it,
Law changes to make crime legit,
With police on sick leave because of it.

There ought to be a law against it,
A law to tell us when to sit,
With there are not enough chairs to allow for it.

i don't think i have ever read a better summary of man's laws. You make me very appreciative of the 12 universal laws, a set of spiritual and metaphysical principles that explain how energy, thought, and consciousness shape reality....but more so God's Laws make more sense...well done

I am very familiar with the movie as well as other issues with the Catholic Church and Nazi Germany....I am old enough to remember the naysayers accusing St. Paul and Timothy of being homosexuals,,,,David, naysayers evaporate under the microscope. As my mother would tell you, never assume; live life aware. The problem with following the herd is that sometimes they are lemmings and you end up at the bottom of the cliff. Never leave a leaf unturned; God rewards those who seek the truth. "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" John 8:32.

Yes indeed. Have you ever watched the movie - The Scarlet and the black starring Gregory Peck. Sorry I often get side tracked. They showed it our Catholic men's group. thanks for your comments. I am lucky to have been given the gift to play with words. Love it and give thanks for it. One thing I find in my everyday life is it is important to pray for our politicians and to vote and when able make submissions. I am actually standing as an independent in OUR national elections. Kind regards David in NZ
