Two diverse paths lay,
The rough path tell the tales
Tales of what lays ahead
The smooth path tells no tales
Both lead to same destination
Our choice stared at us
The heart seeks honour
Rough path they thread
Their desire, they must not faint
The cheers of their leader,
Echoes through the lonely path
The smooth path, leader thread,
In honor, loyalty stand.
“Aye, my enemy smirk”, leader scream,
Strike down my foe, restore my name,
Bang! Bang! They strike,
In loyalty, they raise their blades,
Not at foes, but strangers fate forbade,
Children waits endlessly, stares at the stars,
For the one that promised forever.
“Aye, my enemy mocks me”, leader screams,
Strike down my foe - your honor to have,
Bang! Bang! They strike again,
Leader path lies Fortress veil,
Kin merry heart content
Loyalty forbade question
In loyalty, they loose it all

The Arizona Monsoons strike once again
Violent light crashing up towards the sky
Purple cloud chemistry flashes so colorful
Bolts of spider webs splash through the night
A tumultuous sky flares with charged energy
That can strike down with certain death
Watching safely indoors but still hold my breath

G Forms - Grook Poetry Contest - Constance La France, Theme 1. Death
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"All our affections are at the mercy of death, which may strike down those whom we love at any moment." Quote by _ Bertrand Russell
sitting with tears
watching a foolishly blurred vase
doodling flowers, a sun, a river, a hut,
a range of hills, hills, hills,
I fill the voids in my tender heart
created by my
kith and kin washed away
without a trace to the sea
when massive hill fell
on a sleeping village.

True love is no longer what she desires
Society's idea has long been retired
One person content with only one other
Make most run away for fear they may smother
Dedication and devotion left to expire SelfGratification and greed transpire
Honest compassion is simply a bother
Loyalty is lacked while lust we honor
Craving respect but theres no supplier
Looking for fantasies never to acquire
A gentle hand to satisfy soothe and calm her
Not just swiftly strike down sadly leaving her somber
Jaded by jealous jesters and hotheaded liars
Left to believe that white dress is simply funeral attire

What are ya gonna bring
That same ol thing
Or that home run swing
The crack of the bat
To let them know where your at
That you're not afraid to be all that
You think you can be
To stand tall and free
Let all to see
The glorious path you will take
No intent to fake
To face what's at stake
To make them stop on a dime
Traveling down the path of time
To cross whatever line
They have drawn in the sand
To strike down their hand
To be more than they could ever stand

When I caught a glimpse of you,
I envisioned our future together.
Your beauty shined brighter
Than the stair gates to heaven
I get intoxicated when I look
Into your bright and hazelnut eyes.
Your hair glides so effortlessly
Like my pen’s ink on this page
My body is meaningless compared
To the blessings your soul brings.
Just your presence is enough for
God to recognize you as his own
Your lips give me strength to continue on
When I’m down and my core beaten
Your words uplift me from the wreckage
I am unstoppable with you by my side
Throughout Heaven Earth and Hell
Nothing will stop me from living an
Eternity with you and your comparison
I would strike down the Devil for it.
No grand reward can derange me
From finding your love.

Don't Give Up
Trust The lesson
Breathe
Thankyou B, or your insightful lines
As I try to strike, down the lane of an unexpected illness
this body gets knocked down from time to time
I breathe the breath of God and fill my lungs with hope,
needing to trust this lesson on hand, I learn to cope.
Giving up was never an option, from the very start
courage and resourceful, I cannot buy at Walmart
I know I have Angels by my side night and day
watching everything I do and say;
This morning the windows of my soul are wide open
as I breathe in and out love caresses me and heals
My spinal cord is turning into a strong willful rod,
I do my best, then leave the rest to God...

Good old fashioned wisdom is dead
its been devoured by mental reflex
lack of impulse control and hate
tongues are no longer instruments
of intellect and understanding
but are being used as sledgehammers
of ignorance -crushing differences of opinion
no more handshakes or healthy debates
only busted knuckles and AK47s-
Only a holy man can pull us from
the sphincter of ourselves
but I see none that fit the bill
only charlatans..
those with satin throats
and granite hearts
bathing in collection plates
suckling the teat of mayhem
Holy man if you do exist
the time is now to
come forward
do something miraculous
leave no doubt in our minds
of your existence
come to us in a
global vision
or effigy in a cup of tea.
let us have a glimpse of
the timelessness of hope and heaven..
Holy man please come forward
strike down these many devils
spare the good people
they are desperate and weep loneliness

The path of the righteous man is beset in all
sides by idiots who don’t know how to measure
the distance of 2M.
Blessed are the NHS who shepherd the infected
through the valley of darkness for they are truly
their brothers keepers even with no PPE.
And the police will strike down upon the moronic
imbeciles with small fines and stern words to
anyone who is too thick to understand social
distancing!
And you will know that we are the Tories when
we tell the elderly to die because we don’t want
to buy ventilators for you

Now I lay me down to rest.
I pray the world to give their best.
The best of Man, in the worst of times.
Our Poets can help with peaceful rhymes.
This valley of shadows we now shall trod.
Lead us please, oh Lord our God.
Give strength to the weak, and wisdom to the strong.
Show our leaders the knowledge, to know right from wrong.
I humbly pray on this sunny day.
Strike down this illness and lead our way.
With all of your love and absolute power.
Please hear this prayer, in our darkest hour.

You move me
I dance in parades
and sit among the strange
I bask in the sun
I laugh like honey
Awe inspired
How you rip the branch from the trees
and kill little things that breathe
but still
allowed to smile
conquer
You prosper
What else is there to do
but take it all in?
I soar on your wind
God has yet to strike down the strong men
And so I am the student
You the unknowing tutor
I sit, pen in hand
Ready for lessons
I thought only the devil could teach

Why is it that Humans have the power?
To shift mountains,
And turn them into concrete,
Yet seek to build even bigger mountains out of waste,
That will outlast everything nature cares to produce.
Why is it that so many people have the answers?
To the questions that need answers today,
Yet those without a clue are consulted instead?
Why is it that Doctors can heal wounds most grievous?
Yet a word spoken in jest
Can strike down those in perfect health
With all these perplexing questions floating around,
It is a comfort to know,
That some of us still reach for the soap,
Still like to dip our bread in some soup,
And never lose hope.

Ash's afterlife, another elliptical ride behind the climb.
A course of strife, cursed by the past, forward in time.
The wanderer of worlds step aside the tracks onto paths laid over tombs,
Malevolent and malformed, misconstrued by literature words consumed.
Daylight that's not bright it's more like night without the empty space,
Moon bright is more likely to shroud facial features cast still in it`s place.
Grounded in roots, the symmetry decimates everything in chaos and in torment.
Laid out on the coals, a pure burn inside the mind that cannot awaken up the dormant.
Overlapped, nailed below the floor, wood barrier for the corpse'o.
Strike down the angel arc in lightning karma fire towards the torso.
And still I hate your face as well as your ways,
As before and afterward and eternal and always.
You disgusting being I daydream you misery.

A frigid landscape casts a bitter pall
over a barren nation of weary souls
imprisoned and laden under a regime
of hammer and sickle, numb and cold.
Regimented are the eyes of oppression
unblinking, endlessly watching
scrutinizing, searching, ever searching
grinding down the will, receding hope.
The slow wheel of the gristmill turns
burden of stone, its authority crushes
the spirit. Who can break this
massive millstone, treading over
the tormented masses?
A desperate angst arises to rid the
wretched bile that contaminates the land
strike down the carnivorous bear
and with sheer will and determination
break the terrible gristmill of tyranny.

What to believe in
In this darkness watchin our beings bleedin
I'm having trouble breathin
Stand up
Fight the night to push the light into sight
Stand tall
Together there is no chance you will fall
Who wants peace?
I take it you all
But what I've seen, what I saw
We don't strike down
The things that are wrong
Sing the song
For generations to come
We are together
All as one
My brother please step back
With your knife and your gun
Lay them down and lets talk
If taking my life
Will stop your tyrannical run
And bring my people some peace
Then to all of my killers
Let it be done
