Spike Poems

Premium MemberSPIKE MILLIGAN

An unconventional comedian
Indian born comic Spike Milligan
His dark humour in sketches
Had the people in stitches
Without doubt was a very funny man.

When his friend Harry Secombe passed away
Spikes quite darkish humour came into play
Said "Glad he went before me
He'd have sang out of pity "
At Spike's service they played one anyway .

Now peacefully in his grave he lies still
In a lonely church yard up on the hill
His dark humour won the day
When sadly he passed away
His headstone says , I told you I was ill...

Most games are well-grounded,
To earthen goals they can defeat.
While few rise above the horizon,
With constant volleys they can repeat.

The game elevates to new heights,
                    Gracefully reaching above it all.
                        As angelic figures fly beyond,
                            Earthbound shackles that seem small.

                                Although clear boundaries guide play,
There's no limit from what divides.
The mortal effort to touch the heavens,
                                            Where the ethereal collides.

Premium MemberSpike the Hike

This man, his name was Spike
He wanted to ride a bike
But, he had no training wheels
                 It was like banana peels
              Instead, he decided to hike

Corona's Afoot

CORONA'S AFOOT; GIVE TO THE POOR

Before Corona there were rich and poor,
Developed countries and developing ones,
Individuals knocking on fortune's door,
While others were her daughters and sons.

On arrival, Corona ransacked the space,
Shattering with baton in hand!
Every economy she would deface!
No language did she understand!

Wealthy countries were hardest hit,
While the most vulnerable better fared.
No nation had a cure in its kit
When this monster its ugly head reared!

Well to do airlines were brought down.
Millions of workers faced uncertain futures!
A new phenomenon called Lockdown
Fettered all key business ventures

Individuals with chests of cash,
And companies and governments alike,
Realised that this was a common lash
And extended a hand to thwart any spike.

To life came the words of a great teacher
Who used to say to the rich: "Give the poor",
And: "A foreigner can be your brother."
Corona brought his teachings to the fore!

(The Bible, at Matthew 19: 21; Luke 10: 33-37)

Spike Hike

It seems that no one will hire us
Whilst Trump and Pence spread the virus
From coast to coast
They love to boast
There is no way you can fire us!

Spike Milligan

Said Hamlet to Ophelia,
I'll draw a sketch of thee,
What kind of pencil shall I use?
2B or not 2B?

Spike

Like a faint glimmer of light,
reflecting off a falling drop of dew
A fragile sentiment of attraction
take your mind for a ride new

A clear bliss of sheer emotions
Bring your sorrows to a premature halt
But life is profound and attractions shallow
Reset to misery default

You Say: the Spike

Kurtistani; aab, cddceec, ffb

You say, my hankering is nothing like
a truly love: my love is just a spike
of noradrenaline and dopamine.

My dear, this is true. Unlike your soul,
your body meets my vision of a beauty:
the shoulders made of ivory, a cutie
unopened rosebud and her sis, a mole
on forest's edge, the forest down yonder
in which my ghost of kisses loves to wander
around, every upland, every hole.

Apparently, you'll find this poem bawdy.
It can't be helped: I love your lovely body,
your ugly soul is living wherein.

Spike

Spike is my name as I stretch and yawn on this beautiful sunny morn
Poking my nose through leaves and debris I sniff the sweet Spring air
Inside my den I hibernate through winter’s cold away from harm
Kaleidoscopes of colour and warmth permeate my prickly skin
Enough of sleep I need to eat ~ hear my tum rumble as out I tumble

Spike cannot be accurately accused of reverse-racism
after his lifetime of chronic WhiteHouse Trumpian privileged,
Spike disempowering,
socially acerbic exposure

For the same reason
calling privileged daytime
"reverse nighttime"
takes us back only from moon set
toward moon rise

And does nothing to honestly confront
Trumpian fake-theological utopias
in which god's full grace
brightest shines in space
only from colonizing sun rise
toward enslaving sun sets
by privilege of dominating light-skinned race.

Cobb Islan Stretch

THAAAN SHE SAID
FROM WHICH IS TO
SPEAK TO THE BODY
THE MIND
THE SOUL
AND THE SPIRT
TO SEPARATE THE EMOTIONS
OF LOSSES
THE EMOTIONS OF GAINS
THE THOUGHTS OF DOING
AND THE REGRET OF NOT
DOIN
THE MINDSET OF REALITY
AND THE REASONIONGS FOR BEING RIGHT
EVEN IN TIMES OF WRONG
THE EXPRESSION FROM THE NEED
OF BELEIVING
TO BEFREIND YOUR FOE
AND SEPARATE YOURSELF FROM
YOUR FREINDS
THOSE WHO ARE
FOES IN YOUR FORTUNE
THOSE WHO CAUSE OPPOSITION
 IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
THOSE WHO AGREE WHEN
 THEY OUGHT TO BE AGAINST
THOSE WHO ALLOW YOUR DAYS
TO BE RIGHT FOR THERE TIMES
IN FULL RESPECT TO THE ARTIST
AND THE FULLNESS OF
BEING THE REPRESENTIVE
OF HIS/HER PRODUCT.
THE EXPRESSION OF BEING RIGHT FOR THIS TIME
AND ALL TIMES
THAT THESE WORDS SPEAK LIKE RAIN
THES WATER TO FILL THE WISHING WELLS
OF DAYS AHEAD THAT THOSE
PEOPLE OF TOMMORROW MIGHT
HAVE SUCH TO MAKE THEIR WISHES ON

The Last Spike

The Last Spike

Helios orb peers cautiously
 with guarded optimism
 through cracker-slatted clouds
as Thor's divine implement
shatters the morning stillness with the clap of a sonic boom

Mere mortals assigned Herculean tasks
 trill a gospel cadence,
their labors heralded as glistening ribbons stretch yon and hither,
 a tribute to their genius
and their genesis

Now, as the celestial cotillion materializes
in the ebony overhang
 the spinning Mother bids 'Adieu'
as the last rough-hewn iron phallus
 penetrates the porus creosote-drenched flesh

with a tempered satisfaction
 known only to Gods.........

And those men who will be.

                                                       ("Hell On Wheels" final episode)

SPIKE
There is nothing to overcome the greatest spike
Sometimes we are just the simple dike
Is there anything they can change to dislike
Let's talk about the worst pike

Buffy and Spike

They were made to kill one another
One couldn't love
One wouldn't love
He went away and so did his girl too
She had a guy that left her unknowing what she would do
He came back when his girl left him
She had many guys have her only then
They fought for a while
Though it took a mile
He had realized he loved her
She had realized of him nothing more
She thought, oh well there will be no harm
Until her friends found her sleeping with the enemies arm
She gave up on love at all
His world began to fall
She became a traitor to all of her friends
And began to meet him to all of her ends
She believed in him all she could
He loved her but didn't think she ever would
As the end came near
Everyone hated him besides her
Everyone became regretful because he had saved the world
That was the night of his death
That was the moment he took his last breath

Spike Through the Heart

Lagoon of thought is a high place
But its essence were thought at the base
Black spike in my soul is put in place
I wish to reverse its face

When I reverse its countenance
My spirit will shine with brilliance
The negativity will reverse into positivity of similar distance
The equations will find new clairvoyance

The continuity has its own coherence
And using it one can form his sentence
But using additional dimensions at base has its sequence
So in reverse fortune and realization of dreams glory would have sublime countenance
