Ann Gilmour Poet Acrostic

Spike

Spike is my name as I stretch and yawn on this beautiful sunny morn
Poking my nose through leaves and debris I sniff the sweet Spring air
Inside my den I hibernate through winter’s cold away from harm
Kaleidoscopes of colour and warmth permeate my prickly skin
Enough of sleep I need to eat ~  hear my tum rumble as out I tumble

I have given away many stuffed animals, but not this one. This is a happy, uplifting, fun-filled poem, Ann!
