Mom, A Special Friend

You were my first and truest guide,
With open arms and heart so wide.
A listening ear through sleepless nights,
A steady hand in all my fights.

You taught me love, you taught me grace,
You held me in your warm embrace.
But I, your son, was not always kind—
I lost my way, left truth behind.

I broke your heart with foolish pride,
Got in trouble, chose to hide.
The law came knocking more than once,
And I played the part of the reckless son.

There came a time I wouldn't speak,
We went for months, or maybe weeks.
A silence deep, cold and wide—
The pain we both felt, hard to hide.

But love, it lingers, doesn't fade,
Even in the mess we made.
You never stopped, you never ran,
Still saw the boy behind the man.

And when the time was right, we talked—
On softened ground, together walked.
With tears and hope, we both forgave,
And chose to heal, not dig a grave.

You are my mother, my truest friend,
The one who stayed until the end.
For all the wrong, I made it through,
Because of love—because of you.

Premium Member Happy Birthday To A Special Friend

You and I have been friends for many moons
You and I have played together countless afternoons
Not to mention many mornings and many nights.

Since today is your birthday, I want to send you: kaleidoscopic lights
Multiple dancing rainbows of heaven, exotic flowers
And warm hugs and I’ll blow fresh new kisses from afar to your ears.

I called you my special darling for numerous reasons
I hoped our friendship would flourish through all seasons
Even though I am now disappointed, down and sad
And though we’re no longer committed to each other; I’m not mad.

No matter what, today is a special and beautiful day
For you and me. I’m very happy for you
In my heart, you will always have a niche, a stay
You will forever remain deep in my spleen and my soul.

You are a melodic music note
That keeps me singing praise
You’re filled with the Holy Ghost
In your humble heart and ways

I learn so much from you
Even if I am flawed I still
Appreciate your attitude
Making me mindful of His will

You are that encouragement
I need when tested in life
For in you I find nourishment
Fellowship in our Christ

You have been a friend
And you shall always be
A light that was God sent
A special friend indeed

A little rhyme for my fun gal.
You know you are my special pal.

Whenever I am sad and blue,
you know exactly what to do.

You cheer me up and make me smile.
Come visit me and stay a while.

The funny thing is - nobody
can see you, friend, except for me!

I made you up inside my mind
because I needed someone kind!

I am alone now, can you see?
I have out tea cups for our tea.

My teddy bear is also here.
I blink my eyes and you appear!

I'm glad to see you here today.
Let's chat the afternoon away!

A Prayer For a Special Friend

A PRAYER FOR A SPECIAL FRIEND

Dear Lord, I have a special friend who’s on my heart right now,
He needs a special touch from You, please do it Lord, somehow.
He’s been a friend of mine so long; I know he prays for me,
His faith and praise have been so real—they I do always see!
Now, Lord, You know he needs a touch from Your almighty arm
For sickness has invaded him and tries to do him harm.
I need to hear his shouts again as he sits in his pew,
So now, dear Lord, I come to bow and leave it up to You.
You know what he means to our church and to his family,
His wife, his kids, his grandkids, too, have meant so much to me.
They are examples of YOUR faith in all you’ve said and done,
So now I come to You, dear Lord, in the name of Your dear Son.
Please, Great Physician, touch him now with healing from Your wings,
And let him know how much You love and care for everything.
We ask for now Your will to be, and we will thank You then
When he is well, in church again, in Jesus’ name, AMEN!

Softy Me

I am me… In my own softy way…
I do not want to be pampered…
But I do want to be looked after…
I do not want to be controlled…
But I want to be understood…
I do not enjoy the taste of tea or the coffee…
But I do enjoy the taste of all the wines…
I do not want to be sounded by the building..
I but do love a night in a jungle once in a while..…
I do not like to smoke cigarettes but
I am okay to smoke a shot of weed if that is fine..…
My heart belongs to all the animals..
Because Relationships have made me tight..
I fall in love with every single art...
I am not searching… I am not wanting…
I am happy the way I am for the day…
I am Independent.. I am strong…
I am pretty and and I am bold…
Will you understand me when I say…
I may be little different…
But I am me In my softy way!!

For a Special Friend

For a Special Friend

To the closest friend ever
Love and friendship can be so
Beautiful and inspiring
There is no emotion that comes close
Yet it can be the most painful experience
Anyone can carry
The beautiful side is like a garden of roses
Nurtured with such exquisite care
And in the same moment
Can be as painful
As a crown of thorns around a heart broken into
So many pieces they can never be put back together
I know because I am in this bright and dark place
And yet I wouldn’t trade it for all the gold, silver,
And diamonds in the world
If I am wrong then let be so because
It is my cross to bear until the sun has burned out
And the world is nothing but dust.
I hope she will understand
And not be hurt or offended or angry
Because I love her with all my heart
And value the friendship respect anyone can imagine.

Your Special Friend

Broken hearted, crushed and hurt
Leaves her lonely and baron like the Sahara desert
Crying everyday at the slightest thing
Cause you have treated her like a plaything
Then one day whilst you lie in bed
A knock on the door raises your head
When you hear a voice at the door
You fallout of bed onto the floor
Realising its your “special friend”
Who you would normally deny knowing till your end
But when challenged, cowardly! you walked away
And surely hung you head in shame
A proud man would end this game
But I’m sure you will be back because you feel no blame

Special Friend

There’s no one like a special friend to share the things you have planned, there’s no one like a special friend who really do understand.
There’s no one like a special friend to tell all your problems to, there’s no one like a special friend that lifts you up when you’re feeling blue.
There’s no one like a special friend that is your guide when you can’t see, there’s no one like a special friend that gives you a big lift when you’ve fell down on your knee.
There’s no one like a special friend that will bring an end to your tears, there’s no one like a special friend that will help you fight and face your fears.
I want you to know I could have no better friendship than the special one I have with you.

I Had a Special Friend

When but a child I had a special friend
Always a comfort to me, a godsend
He was soft and brown with bright button eyes
I would hug him so, ‘twas just the right size.

Always waiting beside me every night
Whenever my mother turned out the light
Vanquishing the monsters under the bed
He comforted me, nuzzled by my head.

He disappeared one day, and I cried so
She said he was dirty, and had to go
Just to the washer to get clean again
Then returned to me with a childish grin.

I still have him on a shelf high above
To remind me of my childhood of love.

Special Friend of Mine

A friend so sweet,
I'm lucky to have found.
So much laughter,
Whenever she is around.
Turning something so small,
Into such a fun thing.
Every-time we catch up,
We laugh, dance and sing.
The trouble we get into,
Just from our kids.
They tell us off,
I'm not telling fibs.
That doesn't stop us,
from having our time.
To have a drink and laugh,
With a special friend of mine.

Goodbye My Special Friend

On the day I die and go home,
I know it hurts in the end.
I'll be sorry to leave you alone,
but time will help to mend.
Just know that I'll be around,
I'll never leave your side.
If you ever hear a sound,
it's just me so don't hide.
If you hear a whisper in your ear,
don't be afraid it's just me.
I'm trying to let you know I care,
so this remember please.
Oh and one surprise,
I have for you my loving friend.
I'm saving a seat in Paradise,
to greet you in the end.

With a gentle kiss on my unshaven cheek
We cuddle close
But do no speak
I feel you staring
I look, you turn away
Your heartbeat quickens, still nothing to say
Those admiring eyes and that perfect face
I reach for you and a quick embrace
Unconditional love is your forte'
Your normal routine is to lounge all day
I buy you things
Gifts, from the heart
I tell you things because you are smart
You're always cheerful, never moody
And when you walk
You shake your booty
You melt other people
Just like putty
But to me---
You're just my dog "Buddy"
