This Darling Little Book

Arriving home
I’m all alone
And feeling rather low
For as I open up my door
Feelings of loneliness
Permeate my soul
All around me this and that
Though I don’t take it in
But wait now
what on earth is that
Upon my ‘Welcome’ mat
A package from abroad
Sent from you
To me with love
All negativity gone
As I open up your package
My soul begins to sing a song
For inside there is love
Wrapped up inside a book
I open it so gently
As I take the longest look
At such exquisite images
Borne from your artistes eye
And as I read the words
From your poetic quill
Turning each page slowly
Gives me a wondrous thrill
This darling little book
From my newly found soul sister
Even though we’ve never met
I feel
that I
already know her
Was it from another life
Or on another planet
Did you have a different name
As angels sing
we meet again...

We wrote together and had so much fun
Then there was silence …
I wondered what I’d done

Days turned to weeks
Weeks turned to months
Finally I managed to track you down
You had not been well
But you were still thinking of me

Over the months I wrote letters and cards
Sent you small gifts and some of my poetry
Just so you knew
I was always thinking of you

Months passed with little news
But I never gave up hoping
We both shared a dream
Once again we would be a writing team

Suddenly quite out of the blue
In August an e-mail arrived from you
You were finally on the mend
Oh joy of joys my special friend!

So after a year we are reunited
Writing again - we are quite delighted
A friendship so strong that anyone can see
I’ll always stand by you; you’ll always stand by me

Mother Regina Pacis

I wanted to thank you
But was unable to explain
What your friendship means to me
To share wonderful memories with
It's a blessing to know our friendship
Is grateful through all these year's
In life sometimes friends comes and go
But special friends like you stay forever

God knows that everyone needs
Companionship and a true friend
Someone special like you
A gift from God
The first day I met you
That I always prayed for
A wonderful beautiful friend like you

I pray you know how much having you
In my life means to me
Our paths did cross with purpose
Special friends are sent from God
When we need them the most
They come like Angel's into our lives
From the Holy Ghost
In subtle in so many different ways
God guide us through to give us what we need
You became a special part of me
That I will always cherish through my whole life out

A special friend like you
Is like a jonquil flower
That only blossom once in our life
God knew that we all need is someone special to love
To share wonderful memories and remembrance with
Whether near or far apart
I will hold you closer to my heart forever
Hoping, praying and wishing our friendship never ends

God has so many messengers
We failed to recognized
But his ways are wondrous and wise
Sending Angel's in our lives
Doing his miracles that makes life worthwhile living
God is always on time and never late
I wished God could of let us met sooner

God brings us to unexpected places
Sometimes God put someone special in our life to love
Today, tomorrow and everyday throughout my life
I want to thank you for your friendship
To tell you I will treasure our friendship forever
And that means the whole world to me

Premium Member I Remember When I Could Fly

I remember…
’till I was almost 25 those special nights
When I knew I could fly not just pretending
                                                                          I’m sailing the skies
I remember when I could fly

I knew the sequence
When my countdown hushed to one the gates would open
And my night flight had begun

Across my memories
                                                 My journey blocked the Sun
touchdown was real
                          I met the Chosen One
I remember when I could fly

I look back now
And I remember the wind that sweet uplifting
                                                         Of a very special friend
He never leaves me though human I've become
sending me angels when goodness I flee from
I remember when I could fly

As I grow older
                                           I dream about those nights
Can’t seem to sequence no countdown in sight
I pray my memories won't leave me in the night
'till I fold my wings and drift into the light
I remember when I could fly

                           I remember

                                                      ...when I could fly

I Knew You Would Break My Heart

I knew you would break my heart,
the magic we both felt,
when our hands touched,
the supernatural connection,
I hope you felt the electrical thrill too,
the delightful sensation overwhelmed my heart,
it's sparked an emotion in me,
has you captivating stole my heart,
 like a mysterious voodoo ritual,
the attachment was exquisitely moving,
breath taking attraction,
 my instincts jumped into action,
the charismatic charm concern my heart,
I knew one day you would break my heart,
witchcraft tricks will not fix this encrypted heart,
you’re the only one that passed,
 you unravel your heart,
 you found the special key,
 to unlock and released me,

When I Think of You

When I think of you, I always smile,
Recalling all the things you say.
Your sunny outlook ever positive,
As being grim is not your way.

Your heartfelt poems make me pause to think,
You’re such a vital part of Soup,
I love your sentiments, expressed so well,
And what you offer to this group.

You have a kindly word and smile for all,
And are a sweetheart through and through,
You are a loyal friend and confidante -
Thanks for the fun and laughter, too.

When I think of you, I am inspired,
By your brilliant words of comedy,
And yet, you are sincere and genuine,
My special friend within Soup tapestry.

Jack, you are a cheery chap who lives afar,
Yet we are close as two peas in a pod,
When I am in distress, you're always there.
With gracious words to captivate a nod.

I love the way you entertain my thoughts,
The way you sense our need to write and share,
Though oceans separate we gather close,
Thankxxx for those lovely cards which show you care.

Today Everyday and On Valentines Day

Oh my love! I think of you who to my heart is so fondly dear,
3 million tons of affection, warmth and love you added to me when you were near.

You have been my joyous, affable and amiable companion,
Can we forget the time spent always cuddled under the secluded Indian banyan?

On Valentine’s Day today I think of you, who made my life worthwhile,
Who filled me with passion, oh my colorful lily of the Nile!

On Valentine’s Day today I wish to convey my passion and care,
Of the nostalgic memories of stuff we did and other would never dare.

These thoughts flood my timorous diffident mind,
To the daily grind to which I have become confined.

The twilight’s red & the sheet’s white
My valentine your thought makes me squeal in delight.

The sky’s blue & the grass’s green,
Valentine today you make me breathe eighteen.

Valentine you are my gem, paragon and quintessence,
Epitome of love, personification of life’s essence.

Today, everyday and on Valentine’s Day I need no reasons,
To express my emotions that I carry with me, ever through all the yearly seasons.

On Valentine’s Day
Now memories come my way,
Of things I think but never say,
In a ubiquitous, unique and eloquent way.

U my love are in every way chic, panache and elegantly styled,
But with me alone you are like a child and real wild.

Your memories fill my life with joy and pleasure,
You are my real treasure.

And now to end this poem on high notes,
Let me pinch in some lyrics from Lennon’s wild quotes.
“it matters not,
Who you love,
Where you love,
Why you love,
When you love,
How you love,
It matters that you love”
And I am fortunate that I get to say this today
To a rare special friend “happy valentine’s day”

Premium Member My Challenges With Friendships

I have challenges in friendships because of what I expect
To me cultivating a friendship is like playing a game of roulette
For this person i tend to go above and beyond or go all out
Not giving it time to see what the person is really about
Its a challenge because they may not work as hard as you do
Then you're wondering if its any worth looking for someone new
Learning lessons from past experiences that you don't want to repeat
Struggling with fear of rejection with new ones you meet
You want to except who they are and take what you can get
But at the same time not be that person that they easily forget
Friendships are a two way street but most drive one way
It would be nice to find a friend with qualities like mine one day
As each one fails and you keep starting all over again
It becomes a big challenge trying to find that special friend.

Premium Member Love's Lake

As the eagle replenished his soul in the lake of love,
observing his own image he also saw the image of a salmon
which began to dive deeper, so the eagle took chase.

As the salmon was too quick and agile for him,
he still persisted pursuing the salmon.

Until finally the eagle had swum far too deep to make it back
to the surface for air.

Having realised this, the salmon then faced the eagle and gave him the kiss of life.

The eagle returned safely to the surface exhausted and had to float for quite some time to regain his breath.

Just then the salmon approached the eagle and flopped on his back.
So he flew low to the water until the salmon returned to its homeland, the lake.

To this day the eagle often returns to this lake in hope of seeing his special friend.

After years of doing so, the eagle realised that it's not the salmon that saved him, but the renewal of the lake of love itself.

Beautiful
Nice friendship bracelets
Colorful
So pretty
I love making them all time
And wear them, they're great!

Folks like them
Many make them too
Some wear them
Some sell them
Many just give them away
To a special friend

Wonderful
Are friendship bracelets
With threads knotted
Made with love
And ready then just to wear
On your very wrist

Just like them
Very much indeed
I believe
They're so cool
Very neat in every way
Not so hard to make

I make them
One, two, three, four, just
Follow steps
All the way
With any colours chosen
And number of threads

They are fun
To wear all the time
They're so nice
They look great
In any color you want
They are just awesome!

All handmade
Make them all with love
So special
A great gift
Some take a long time to make
But all is worthwhile.
