yellow god-star bombards

During yoga lessons, learnt the 'Surya Namaskara' pose
'Surya' as in Sun and 'Namaskara' as in salutation
So I just said hello to the sun?
But the sun did not say anything back!

Across the sunbaked plains, a hush descends so deep,
A million eyes turn skyward, secrets the heavens keep.
