Steven The Seagull

I saw him posing on his perch
While exploring Blackpool merch.
"The Snack Thief" is how he's locally known
Wide eyed, plump and holding his own.
He loves chips, ice cream cones and bread...
So keep an eye out over head!
He'll hover, then suddenly down he'll swoop
To gather up a hearty scoop.
Or he'll seem to dawdle by your side
But snatch

Breezy, 
break away free bird, 
as free as easy as the wind
wanderess go onward
 ~ through life~
with an incessant need
to find solace 
and meaning
back in god’s grace
It’s penetrating places you roam

Seagull's Lament

A Seagull’s Lament

I have a bird’s eye view.
I am a seagull after all.
Where are all of the people?
Those nice tourists who fed me
french fries, buns, hamburgers, hot dogs.
A real gourmet’s delight.
What am I going to do?
I guess I will have to go back
To fishing! Ugh!

Choice

Fly high like an eagle,
don't be a seagull in the sea,
don't be ashamed to realese your concerns instead to keep them inside.

Let your worries to be known,
give them wings instead to cut them to be free.
