seagull

her breast falls again ~
with tides that coil from the shore ~
she's still crying back

under fisher's snag ~
water alone heals her wings ~
fly, my dry throat kiss

Congratulations on your win. I enjoyed reading your wonderful "seagull" write. It is a fun bird to watch. I am buried with work after being gone for 2 weeks. Have a blessed day with your win................

Paige, congratulations on your winning placement with your wonderful haiku set with beautiful imagery. I am very fond of seagulls. They get a bad rap but are such beautiful birds.

Seagull fly, the salt sea water heals, a kiss heals as well. I feel the desires of both! Blessings

When I saw haiku and seagull, I immediately thought it would be about poop but that's just me because of how often I've been tagged. You took my crass attitude and softened it to a poetic range with your imagery and emotion.

Amazing images, Paige - graphic and visceral! We always know when a big storm is brewing because the seagulls come inland. Best wishes for the contest. Blessings!

Seagulls thrive on fish in the water. So we can see gulls hovering over seas and oceans. A great set of haiku. All the best dear friend.
