Premium MemberA Farewell

And late at hour, by rippling roar
Of waters lapping 'neath the tor,
A figure bathed in lunar light
Who smiled and turned upon my sight.
And beating wings above the wight,
The somber creatures of the night.
And as the stars about him played,
A sad embrace he gently made.
"If I were 'cross the seas again, in climates fair or poor,
I'd still be where I've always been, sailing by the shore."
He my sire and I his daughter,
Far across the fretting water,
Far across the sea.

Premium MemberSymbiotic Nature

Wildly fertile soil;
Soft petals and wise old oaks,
some consume insects;

Oxygen filled air;
Many who can’t long to fly
to change perspective;

Storms, wildfires, earthquakes
we feel leveled when she yells;
Mother may I live?

These rushing currents;
Home to scores of marine life,
full of square rip tides;

Replenishing the famine,
it’s symbiotic nature

Premium MemberSea Star Drops An Arm

The sea star is terrified.
Chase is on.
He drops the beast an arm.
Knowing it will regrow.
Saving his life one more time
At the expense of one arm.

                    Lights of Atlantis

                 brightest evening star,
                 flirts with no shame to the sea,
                 sea gull winks at me.

Tune of the Sea

Listen closely and quietly on this starry filled night
and you can hear the sea waves.
Beating against the beach in rhythmic time
stirring up the pebbles on the sea floor
to dance the jingle and the jangle to the tune of the sea.

willowy billowy daydreams
whirlwind of playful fantasy
worshiping mystical moonbeams
waywardly sailing on a sea

warm starry midnight serenades
welcoming beckoning mermaids
whispering invite warm extremes

Bits of Sea Glass

adorning apricot
  stardust silently
    enveloped
     turbulent waves,
gingerly dappling
   each ingrained
      bit of sea glass
whence the tides
        were stilled,
'til they ebbed
    'tween streams
        of serene
            spring waters,
      rushing sky castles
          outer banks in
             cascades of
                tranquil
                     awed hushes
                         overflowing
                                midst
                                   surrendered

Lovelight

I fell in love by the sea
My heart was swept away
Only to be set free

Riding waves
And raging torrents
Funny how life behaves

Caught in a net of wonder
I search the stars
And my heart grows fonder

You kissed me in the moonlight
You held me close
Our love illuminated by starlight.

Sea Star

Awash by ripple of night's waves
the glittering starfish drifts
like an open flower on clay--
its plump flesh, a reddish lip
enchanting two lovers' soft kiss
through a glide of dusky sand.

I Let Myself Go

Soft And Warm Like The Quiet Storm
I Let Myself Go
I Let Myself Go
With Nothing To Hold On To
Not Even Gravity
I Let Myself Go
And Fall Deep Into A Fantasy
I Close My Eyes
Live In My Sleep
This Feeling Is A Dream
The Pain Of Waking Up Hurts So Deep
I Let Myself Go
Now Im Gone
And I Can’t Find Me
I Don’t Know Where I Am
But With You Is Where I Want To Be
My Mind Feels Lost
My Soul Feels Like Its Dying From Love
Because I See My Life Flashing Before My Eyes
When I Release From Your Hugs
If I Could Write My Words
On The Clouds In The Sky
I Would Use Ink
Made Of The Tears That I’ve Cried
So Whenever You Look
In The Air Up Above
You Can Read My Emotions
And Remember My Love
In The Garden Of Passion Is Where My Heart Grows
Right Next To A Beautiful Lavender Rose
So If My Heart Stops Beating
Let My Tombstone Show
That This Is The Place Where I Let Myself Go

A Boatful of Hope

Day has sunk and the old fisherman, like a well-trained athlete, rows his rugged boat.
Defying starry night's turbulent waves,
It cruises seaward, smooth and swift, like an agile proud fish.

Then, into his net a shooting star drops; hauls he a thousand delicate, bright starfish.
Guided by remaining stars, he comes home with a boatful
Of glimmering soft, fleshy crystals of hope to his daughter's eager waving

At the murky, starless bay. Her voice rushes out in tidal sound-waves.
She puts a finger in, fishing
One live hope, stellar and warm, out of what used to be a champion's sailboat.

Rocking the boat and making waves, their laughter splashes like a floundering fat fish.

The Absent Moon

Long wisps of fog rise
into thin and vanishing clouds;
from the East an aromatic wind
scatters the flattened and broken-shells-covered-sand
as dampness enters the bones and makes these feet sweat,
still my deep footprints are seen below the boardwalk where I sat.

Lovers hold hands
and seek out their friend
hiding somewhere beyond
the swaying palm trees that seem to engage in a monotonous dance;
they feel that no August night should be without the round, glaring moon...
but before the morning star arrives, they will be wondering if it will appear soon.

The Stars Reflection

He sat there on the edge
of the rocks above the shore
lost there in his thoughts
like many times before
he noticed how the water
seemed to glow with life
and for a couple moments he
forgot about his strife
the light came from the moon
high up in the sky
and he longed to be among the stars
but had no wings to fly
so he climbed down from the rocks
and waded past the shore
he drifted away on the stars reflection
with a heavy heart no more
