Sea Star Drops An Arm
The sea star is terrified.
Chase is on.
He drops the beast an arm.
Knowing it will regrow.
Saving his life one more time
At the expense of one arm....

Tune of the Sea
Listen closely and quietly on this starry filled night
and you can hear the sea waves.
Beating against the beach in rhythmic time
stirring up the pebbles on the sea floor
to dance the jingle and the jangle to the tune of the sea....

Lights of Atlantis
Lights of Atlantis
brightest evening star,
flirts with no shame to the sea,
sea gull winks at me.

Sea Star
Awash by ripple of night's waves
the glittering starfish drifts
like an open flower on clay--
its plump flesh, a reddish lip
enchanting two lovers' soft kiss
through a glide of dusky sand.

Sea of Dreams
She drifted on black starlit glass
beneath the full moon bright
captivated by the beauty of
the tranquil, lovely light
floating on the gentle waves
the stars kissed her goodnight
and rocked into her deepest dreams
she floated out of sight

Lovelight
I fell in love by the sea
My heart was swept away
Only to be set free
Riding waves
And raging torrents
Funny how life behaves
Caught in a net of wonder
I search the stars
And my heart grows fonder
You kissed me in the moonlight
You held me close
Our love illuminated by starlight....

Wanderlust
willowy billowy daydreams
whirlwind of playful fantasy
worshiping mystical moonbeams
waywardly sailing on a sea
warm starry midnight serenades
welcoming beckoning mermaids
whispering invite warm extremes

Symbiotic Nature
Wildly fertile soil;
Soft petals and wise old oaks,
some consume insects;
Oxygen filled air;
Many who can’t long to fly
to change perspective;
Storms, wildfires, earthquakes
we feel leveled when she yells;
Mother may I live?
These rushing currents;
Home to scores of marine life,
full of square rip tides;
Replenishing the famine,
it’s symbiotic nature...

The Stars Reflection
He sat there on the edge
of the rocks above the shore
lost there in his thoughts
like many times before
he noticed how the water
seemed to glow with life
and for a couple moments he
forgot about his strife
the light came from the moon
high up in the sky
and he longed to be among the stars
but had no wings to fly
so he climbed down from the rocks
and waded past the shore
he drifted away on the stars reflection
with a heavy heart no more

A Farewell
And late at hour, by rippling roar
Of waters lapping 'neath the tor,
A figure bathed in lunar light
Who smiled and turned upon my sight.
And beating wings above the wight,
The somber creatures of the night.
And as the stars about him played,
A sad embrace he gently made.
"If I were 'cross the seas again, in climates fair or poor,
I'd still be where I've always been, sailing by the shore."
He my sire and I his daughter,
Far across the fretting water,
Far across the sea.
