Scars That Refuse To Fear

We have enemies with bombs and guns, we have enemies with Bibles under their arms so we must all be united.

We have walked on broken pieces of bottles, shall we be shaken by broken pieces of calabashes and mere glare?

The path has cut our feet before, yet we still rise. The wounds have tried to teach us fear, yet we still stand.

If steel could not break us and glass could not silence us, then shadows dressed as light shall not divide us.

United, we remain unshaken.

Premium Member Song - Battle Scars

Sleep wont come, nights are never ending.
Beyond all the pain my spirit is descending.
You ripped out my heart. I am an empty vessel.
Devotion, and feelings of loathing, both wrestle.

Your hateful, bitter words on my soul left a stain.
I showered you with love, you greeted me with pain.
So many questions, my tortured mind is ill at ease.
The man of my dreams, now impossible to please.

Toxic thoughts encircle my mind like a plague.
Shell shocked and shattered, my feelings are vague.
I cannot comprehend why you lost all control.
Leaving a void, an abyss I am no longer whole.

Memories are so clouded of that fateful night.
Bewildered why you lashed out, was it all in spite?
Visions of you laughing at me behind those bars.
My broken body lays dormant covered in battle scars.

I refuse to be known as a victim of violence.
There'll be no labels. A survivor, without silence.
You took all the love, an abundance I had to give.
Maybe this time I wont be so quick to forgive.

Scars

my life laid lifeless in your hands,
you decided to be the one to bring me back.
to be the only one i held faith in.
to be the only one to deserve me.
i never asked to get attached to these scars.
it got uglier with every line you drew.
with every cut you made, i healed perfectly.
why would you give me
these beautifully flawed tattoos?

you never answer me.
this mirror is no longer my reflection,
i’m missing.
this body is no more than a reminder.
the eyes i looked at you with.
the tongue that dirtied your name.
the face that you longed to see.
what use am i now?
i can’t handle this alone,
this soul meant to hold two.

Premium Member A Light Within the Wound

She traces the scar beneath her skin,
Fingertips gentle, learning where pain has been.
Each ache a story etched in silent lines,
Each bruise a memory the heart still finds.
The wound-her secret lantern in the night,
Split open, raw, but glowing with new light.
She gathers the shards and lets herself feel,
Trusting the crack will teach her how to heal.
She does not turn away from sorrow's flame,
Nor hide the tears that shape her sacred name.
Through brokenness, her spirit learns to sing,
And in her weeping, gardens start to spring.
The darkness she carries is also grace,
Illuminated softly by what she faces.
Her wounds become windows to the sky-
Through every fissure, hope dares to fly.
So she stands in the dawn with trembling hands,
Knowing the light enters where she cannot stand.
She rises-brave, imperfect, and true,
For every hurt is where the light breaks through.

Wisdom Comes From Scars Not From Seven Times Seven

I have walked through gardens burnt to ash,
And still the roses whispered truth—
That beauty fades, but ache will last.

No tender hand can smooth the seam
Where life was torn and roughly sewn;
It glimmers faintly, like a dream
That once was love, now turned to stone.

The moon remembers every wound,
Though night pretends she’s whole again—
Soft light, but never healing sound.

I do not ask for one more dance;
I’ve learned what mercy costs the heart—
Wisdom comes from scars, not chance.

Premium Member Internal Scars

Brain like a broken record,
Body still fighting strong year after year.
Your body, mind, and soul carry internal scars, only ones with trained eyes will notice them, because you’ve learned how to hide them so well.
Memories like to play, as if they were put on a flipbook, interrupting my daily rituals.
But little do most know, my skin is thicker than armor, always ready to endure the pain.

Scars

I met you yesterday
And gave my time to you
And what you did in return
Is leave a scar on me
And the sad part
I am used to it.

Nightmare Truths

Nightmare Truths

She hides the truth in nightmare screams,
Refusing to voice fevered dreams,
As moon bent shadows climb the wall,
To bring more demons to her hall.

Those who know her will see no tears,
She locks them away—shows no fears,
Fights her scars in silence alone,
Growing harder her heart of stone.

Your Actions, Their Scars

Don't play the victim, don't wear the frown
You're the one causing harm, spinning others down
Bullying, harassing, spreading fear and pain
You're the problem, not the one to claim
Don't shift the blame, don't point the finger high
You're the one acting out, passing by
Think before you speak, think before you act
Your words and actions leave a lasting fact
You're bringing tears to eyes, and pain to the heart
Affecting minds and souls, tearing them apart
Your actions have consequences, that's what you must see
Is hurting others worth it? Is it worth your destiny?
Learn a lesson now, before it's too late
Think before you act, don't perpetuate the hate
Be kind, be compassionate, be understanding too
For the hurt you're causing, is it really worth it to you?

Scars That Can't Be Seen

A Wound may hide — beneath the Flesh —
No Surgeon’s hand can find —
It burrows in the quiet Mind —
And leaves the Nerve — behind.

No Mirror tells the fractured Shape —
The World still sees us Whole —
Yet Ghostly Fingers press the Heart —
And haunt the fragile Soul.

The Sun may smile — the Lilac bloom —
The Sparrow lift his Song —
But still — a Shadow walks with me —
Companion — all day long.

The Grave itself — may grant release —
Or Heaven’s sweeter Air —
But Scars — not written on the Skin —
Are borne — Forever — There.

SOUL

silent wounds turn stubborn into strength,
over broken earth, courage takes slow root,
under each scar, light relearns the language of living.

Premium Member Silent Scars

Silent Scars are not visible to one's bare eyes
that no one can't see or feel.

Trapped by these mentally, physically carrying
the above mentioned unseen adversity.

Specific experiences shared contrasting one's
strength with armor and a smile.

Despite that one's tongue often reminds me of my shared experiences of Silent Scars.

The weight I carried solo mentally, physically had
nearly retained me as a prisoner.

Finally, I'm breaking free voluntarily from these
chains of oppression.

Stars and Scars

The scars on my arm aren’t here for you to touch there not art for you to discuss it’s non of your business where there from or how they came to be it’s not your place to discuss them with your friends cuz that’s not concern it’s ridicule and disdain

Scars are beautiful

As each purple line is hidden
From questioning stares and hurtful remarks
To be unspoken of and covered in shame
as if no one has kissed each pain one by one
Like you've never been told they're the beauty of your pain
A beauty to be loved and cared for
You hide them as if I would love any less
They are not to be hidden but to be admired
As each scar is kissed and warmed
Know your scars are beautiful
