Premium Member A Ring of Tears

He smiles, places the ring on her finger.
She smiles, but then she bows her head.
Cuz she knows that sometimes, love won't linger.
But with time, she'll know if love is dead.

He swears that, that last time, was the last time.
But any promise, can still be broken.
And for her, no more church bells will chime.
Only scars on her heart, as a token.

He smiles again, as he walks out the door,
She cries again, another broken heart.
The weight of these dead dreams, crash to the floor,
Cuz, this ring has weighed heavy from the start

Chorus:
And we'll be dancing, tonight,
Under the full moon, so bright.
Still, she'll spend all her years,
In a lonely, Ring of Tears!

And as her love disappears,
Trapped in this lonely, Ring of Tears!

Premium Member when i'm dead, bury me with party ring biscuits

in a leather jacket
birthday cake sandwiches help
clear my sinuses
Googly Hancock; and backseat baristas
Bob Dylan is back in the studio
did he pop out to the shops? Where's he been?
Big Daddy Kane outside Dapper Dan's -
You tossed a coin in the fountain
Wishing to be as happy as a blue cat
storckappopotamus
there will be no custard creams at my wake
nor chocolate bourbons;
take a long walk off a short pier
homewreckers and g'day mate cubes

Loofah

I dearly love a good loofah
indeed I do how about you
I'll loofah here loofah there
loofah nearly everywhere
and whomever invented
the loofah
did an excellent thing
even the name 'loofah'
has a mighty fine ring
but I'm willing to bet
when day is done
buying a loofah
better yet
for the price of one
is definitely a twofer
oh and would you be so good
if you please
don't throw those corks away
do you think they grow on trees

Big Ben

When asked, 'If the orchestra conductor
had made an effort more concerted
not to miss the concert
and a sordid scene averted,
would he have been less disconcerted?'
"Don’t ask me, I’m only the drummer,"
replied I in chagrin.
And, altho' the name of my favourite band
is the one I am currently in,
I do like the sound of the moniker, 'Big Ben,'
it's music to my ears and have to admit,
it has a certain ring to it."
As it appeals one feels it would sell well as a bell
(at fifteen point one short tons)
and wake everyone with its loud knell.

a hand cart and a ring

A Handcart and a Ring

A man I knew had a handcart and became self-employed
I often saw him in the town with a load of parcels and sometimes furniture
He was a contented man.
One day, on his way to the railway station, the wheel of his cart came off
four suitcases fell into the street.
So, what to do?
He traced his steps and soon found the missing pieces that kept the wheel
on the axle, but he also found an expensive diamond ring
he put it in his pocket as he was occupied with fixing the wheel
and get his load of suitcases to the railway station
In the paper, he read about a lady who had lost a dear ring
he contacted her via the paper, and she was happy,
she didn’t give him any money because, as she said, honesty has its reward
The people at the paper thought this was too mean for words
made a collection and handed the kind man the money.
A Picture of him and his cart, the paper, and a nice story for the paper to sell.
when too old to push his cart around, he became a poet of the small things in life
and not about  the life of aristocrats

Rings
Love now
My heart sings
Our wedding vow
Will always love you
You make my life complete
By every small thing you do
With you, I never feel defeat
Beautiful one please be mine for life
With loving eyes, say you will be my wife
I will make a garden filled with delight
Hope and respect planted side by side
Our garden will thrive on love's light
Devoted faith grown with pride
Darling, will you accept?
I'm on bended knee
Promises kept
You for me

Premium Member No Calling Her Decrepit

"As the day ends, one is closer to heaven." By Poet

My neighbor is old,
she can be very bold.
Loving to wear lots of fancy gold,
and decrepit I am told.

You know age is just a thing,
numbers one wants to ring.

How old are you,
that number may make you blue.
They tell me I am a decrepit ninety-two,
but I can still tie each shoe.

Honey - age is all in one's mind,
seeing myself as twenty-five to all mankind.
I may not be well defined,
but I will always be kind.

Premium Member Ring that Bell

Mom would ring that bell
to tell us to come in for lunch
Some times it was liverwurst sandwiches
and other times it was hot dogs
But it was always delicious
and we were always well loved; miss you mom

Premium Member The Jingbut Ding

the town of Jingbut
had a ding
that chimed and chimed
did ring and ring
and a mystery
was this loudly thing

for over air
and garden came
straight through house
each room the same
for where you were
it did not wane

an all around
an everywhere
incessant ringing
to the ear
an omnipresent
far and near

it was a witch
as told by some
whose voice aloud
when she was hung
a curse to all
she deathfully sung

others tell
of murdering
or ghost or phantom
or of goblin
a demon’s
episodic rambling

then just as quick
as it had started
it wasn’t there
as strange it ended
gone, gone
but for how long

no-one knew
why it had been
but oft it rang
this haunting ring
that held the town
the Jingbut ding

The toll bells ring

Hallow here the toll bell ring
The ferry man has my name

Beware the lies Lucifer brings
You only have free will

I tasted just a little bite
Now he comes with all his might

Slowly cancer sinking in
Oh the price to pay for sin

You can't hold back the universal debt ,a price to pay,
I always knew about this day

Was it worth the pleasure thrill
Here he comes in for the kill

I am but just a man I give no excuse for actions
In every road a chain reaction

Listen God can you here my prayer
I am lost in the great nowhere

My love runs deeper than I ever show
I was never taught open expression
From a child I was fed depression

But I have no excuse

I see only now the clear reality of truth

Forgive me father for I have sinned.

Proposal

He took her to the beach
And he said , I want a ice cream?
She smiled and said ok.

When she returns back , she can't found him
She called his name and run throughout the beach,

When she find him,
She cried and hugged him,
He said I'm here, I don't leave you.

Then he said, I don't want to be your friend,
She stunned and asked Why?

With a smiling face he said How can I love my friend?
She shocked and asked what?

"He sit down to propose her with a ring" while she was in shock
She was stunned, but showed her finger with blushing....
