Push The Envelope Poems | Examples

Premium Member Cathedral With Scars Rimas Dissolutas

Now watch as I push the envelope,
give you a taste of what's possible;
The meek cannot inherit the stars,
space will lose every ounce of luster;

You will not see with a microscope,
the Universal Truth that’s plausible;
Lost within dive bars and basic cars,
no way you could go any faster;

Painted like a cathedral with scars,
your aesthetic makes you the master.

A Beautiful World

hello everyone
after reading SENORITA SEXY SENRYUS by Panagiota Romios
I was inspired to write the entry below
I was reminded of a late poetess Pam who wrote under the name of gungalo
always did gungalo push me to write of love and to push the envelope
I am thankful for that and I am thankful to Pangie today
blessings to all
thank you

"a beautiful world"

because of you and you alone
I see through a magical window
a beautiful world I call my own
with wide island eyes that glow

at times I look to see what you see
hoping you discover all this is real
and accept your love is right for me
gazes and whispers I'll forever steal

because of you I feel as never before
with every beat every pulse every touch
we dress to undress leading us to more
love we express that is never to much

only the outside light peering in sees
such beauty of love silhouettes at hand
watching desires move like a sea breeze
for there is no other who holds command

Challenge Me

This here I declare my first
attempt at the amazing pantoum
In my virulent, insatiable thirst
to impress all the poets in the room

Why do I love the amazing pantoum?
that's a question with an easy answer
it impresses all poets in the room
and provides the crowd with excellent banter

Questions with the easiest answers
However, do nothing to test my brain
Yes, the crowds speak with excellent banter
But I want to push myself with each quatrain

I need, I yearn to test my brain
I demand challenge and games
I push the envelope with each quatrain
Before my skills do dwindle and wane

All I want are challenging games
to slake my insatiable thirst
and I've not one pantoum to my name
So here I declare my first

Premium Member Is There a Hell

"I don't know, but my strategy is
to live my life like there is" ...
I do not HAVE to kill -hate-
commit acts against children –
I can avoid stealing- I can avoid lying,
I can avoid, coveting. I cannot waddle in hate,
but I can be angry and hate what God hates.
I may not make good choices sexually
but I can ask for forgiveness.
I do not know if there is a hell,
but I am not going to push the envelope.

I am not going to prepare to go there.
My strategy is to live my life like there is.!
I thought I was in hell living in America.
I thought all they did to me and mine
Would be paid for. I cannot Fathom
Then being punished twice;
While the wicked ones
Gets the best of both worlds.

I hope there is a place of punishment.
For those that deserve going there
For me, I am not fantasizing, and
God never ask me to kill in his name
Nor start a war in his name
Nor beat my beliefs into anyone.
Is there a hell? I don’t know.
I just live my life like ''I don’t want to go''!

When In Hell Do As the Demons Do

Within Dantesque fields of dust a calcifugous crushing crust
In layers of lactating lust demoniac deception a deist distrust
Hibernating hallucinations of hope in cathedrals trying to cope
As we push the envelope on a rambunctious rapacious slope

Tangled in declivitous dreams haunting breaths of silent screams
Reality is not what it seems sailing souls in sanguineous streams
Rays of darkness in derelict display like the mantis in perpetual pray
Dragon’s fire of seditious spray falling asleep admits meadows grey

Mellifluous mansions of desire nestled in the night a papal pacifier
Mephistophelian monstrosities up for hire an abysmal abulic attire
Dancing demons in anamorphic air a scurrilous seduction in a stare
Fallacious faces in their lair semisynthetic surroundings in a scare.

The Magician

When the magician revels his secret is the show over as the curtain drops does the magic just die within the soul of the master of illusion or is to inspire another group to bring unbelievable acts to the world. Acts not of the same class and style but to get one to try fail and learn is one of the greatest honors one can hold. To push the envelope to make the mind think of whole new possibility to create something beautiful out of the darken souls within. For i have had the honor to tell my tale threw the words and wisdom i have been granted to see and experience in this thing we call life. Rather people listen to my rambling who knows but to leave the learning and guidelines for those drawn to them by destiny it self is what i am after. For in life we ask and hope and want but if we really need it will be guided some way or another so i sit back and think of the past the present the future and smile and thats all right for this author. So i encourage i push all in the name of a better tomorrow with more pieces of self for others to enjoy so i say write what and let the emotion bleed into the paper shred the chords of your heart strings and paint the imaginary of your soul.

Right With You

Right With You

Love me gently
Love me right
Right as rain
Right is mighty
Mighty emotional
Mighty in love
Love me always
Love me now
Now or later
Now or never
Never leave me
Never push
Push the envelope
Push the button
Button button who got the button
Button up
Up up and away
Up and down
Down to earth
Down for the count
Count Dracula
Count on me
Me and you
Me and you in love
Love me sweetly
Love me true
True love
True love
Love is all we need
Love is blue
Blue suede shoes
Blue moon
Moon and stars
Moon light
Light of my life
Light is love
Love me in the morning
Love me all the time
Time flies
Time bandit
Bandit on the loose
Bandit of love
Love makes the world go round
Love is you and I
I fooled around and fell in love
I love you
You are so beautiful
You take my breath away
Away beyond the blue
Blue...
Away...

Glass Walls

Glass walls and fake notions
Fake love but real emotions

I'm shielded but vulnerable
This feeling is incontrollable

Everything I believed was a lie
Fairytale endings will just pass me by
I'm not the man I thought I would be
The future is bright but why can't I see?

Push the envelope further
Love it hard but don't hurt her
Love her caramel skin
The original Werther's

Fight the lies in your life
Learn to pick up the knife
And spread all the love
Til the portions are right

Go above and beyond
Live in danger like bond
And succeed in this quest
Than the lord put you on

My glass walls have a crack
I won't take it all back
So much pain in my life my main thought is attack

But I'll let it all shatter
Cuz it don't really matter
As the glass hits the floor I'll see smiles and hear laughter

Extra Butter

He’s tired of being undercover
He swears he’ll give up his outside lover

He has a good wife
But two is twice as nice

He made a commitment to one
But the other one is so much fun

If he thought his wife had another man
That would be more than he could stand

He’s decided not to rock the boat
Or push the envelope

He’ll be true to his “I do”

And give up his outside lover
Although he enjoyed that extra butter

She floats into the room -
Miss Fannie Lou Nance,
her long black dress
flowing without movement
as though adorning
a mannequin on wheels,

her small hat perched
on her elegant white hair.
A soft black cape warms
her shoulders, highlighting
the lovely broach at her throat
and matching buckle at her waist.

Her manner and tone
takes us back in time
to a gentle image
of life in a golden era,
of gilded edges and fortunes made,
a one way mirror into the past.

Headmistress of Crescent College,
a school for genteel young ladies
fortunate enough to be
bound by rigid rules,
but educated and encouraged
to go forth in life dauntless,
push the envelope beyond the norm,
break the restraints,
lead the way. . .
              into a new dimension

Bondage Breaker

You fought back the feelings to resist the inner pain

In anguish your head spins as pea soup,
In madness the silence etched in the fragmentation of the lower portion of skull
A baracade is opened doors in swift desolation
Doors of perception in viable twig feature

Bondage Breaker

God loves you the way that you are yet
Refuses to leave you as such
In a crazy world filled with devils in a rush
You push the envelope & then,

Sorrow provides an opened door for the inner healing to begin;
Sadness is shocked as a filter in the brain
We fall prey to the devil's scheme & then
Inner pain twisted as a fever inside,

The walls of perception make us all want to run away & hide

To hide behind the false hidden garb of compromise
Can't we all see through Satan's stupid idiotic lies
Or does this notion in thought come at a big enough surprise?
In boiled hot water as the temptess flame

Not having her in my arms is driving me insane
In love we hide through closed doors & chill
The thrill to soar & anguish still
I guess their is no such thing at any happy medium?

It Fades Along With the Smoke

Inhale,

Exhale.

Numb to sensation

Emotionless pulsation

Travels up the spine

Tingling, stinging divine.

My own frailty

Does not betray me

Push the envelope,

Tighter, grows the rope.

Play with fire,

Dance on razor wire.

Unstoppable ignorance

Furthers the always expanding dissonance.

Just breathe in the smoke

There’s no need to cope,

False stimulation

Fends off foretold trepidation.

Lungs inflate,

Reality begins to deflate.

Vision blurs

Twists and slurs.

So empty,

Fate tempts me

Push the envelope,

Tighter, grows the rope.

So hollow,

Transparent rules swallow

A generation of perfection

Young and lost; without direction.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Premium Member An Occasional Necessity

Why should everything be about rules?
Why can’t we push the envelope a little and have some fun?

Why live in a space where rules
have the ability to decide our happiness...

What about the woman that touched the hem of his garment?
if she followed the rules she would still be ill.
What about the woman who took the oil and washed Jesus’ feet?
The disciples felt that what she was going, were against "the rules"
but in the end she blessed the Master in the best way she possibly could…

How many of us were disillusioned by sticking to the rules?
Life should sometimes be about having fun
not everything in life is plain and simple,
neither are the rules that we are
sometimes compelled to adhere to
sometimes rules are meant to be broken,
even if it is just to make someone's day...

Spaceman of Life

Young men in virile stride
Pass to see the prize that awaits.

Competitive glares that will push the envelope
Who will stand to accept the honor?

"You will never win the Spaceman of the Year Award!!"

    "I will SO!"

Into the chamber for another test
Mistakes made here cause no harm, but for another try.

Out on the pad the candle waits
   . . . 3, 2, 1, and the earth trembles.

In weightless triumph, a linking to the station
Tasks completed, only to find the Scytheman lurks aboard.

Decisions made must be obeyed
Life, in a momentary test of wills.

A Commander must make the choice
"You haven't the love of humanity for it !!!"

Love, Humanity, Home he will never see again
Heavy his heart as his choice is in the mirrored image he sees.

"Get OFF my spaceship!"

A struggling crew depart
Cramped quarters aboard the station to await eventual rescue.

Commander alone
    His "Good-byes" over the static.

Up at the zenith
    The pockmarked Statesman glows.

A wry smile cosses his countenance as he hears the words
"Commander, you are the Spaceman of Life!!"
