Premium Member Praise On

Isaiah 44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

Could it be that our seed are – not only our children, but the seeds we plant for Jesus, seeds of faith, seeds of grace, seeds that are watered by prayer and praise?

Afore death stills me, I’ll praise Him
remembering His love and grace
I’ll sing His praises amid each hymn,
He brings a peace time won’t erase

When the time comes, I’ll leave this life
Afore death stills me, I’ll praise Him
Knowing His light will leave no strife
His endless love and light won’t dim

Without Him, the future looks grim
I’m so thankful to know the King
Afore death stills me, I’ll praise Him
His praises I’ll eternally sing

Hear my song, praising on and on
My cup’s flowing over the brim,
I’ll praise til’ my last breath is drawn
Afore death stills me, I’ll praise Him

It was grim and gloomy
Devoid of hope for freedom
They were bound and thrown
Into man’s maximum security
After severe beating and humiliation
In utter hopelessness
But God was still saying something
And so they did not give in to fear
But chose path of prayer and praise
And God who relishes the praises of His children
Swung into action with an earthquake
Rocking the maximum security prison
To its foundation and unto freedom
For Paul and Silas
Whatever is your situation today
Do not despair or give up
For even when He is silent
God is still saying something
Take the route of prayer and praise
They never fail to attract His attention
Nor His saving Grace

Premium Member What Thrills Me

Silence in the forest
Silence in the heart

Leaves in every color
Leaves, falling through rays
Light pouring out her grace

Early morning rainfall
Caressing my spirit – my faith
Abundant in prayer and praise

Snow kisses – chilling, blessing
With eager shadows, cool
Honest breaths, erasing dread
Creating a winter smile…
For the eyes of every child,
Including me

Tender words
From the one I love
 kindness
Filling my mind with light
My heart with life
My soul with the wonder
From love that abides
Inspiring, shattering the night

The warmest welcome
From the dog who knows me
As its ally, its companion
The one it sees as genius
Even when I know differently

What thrills me most of all
Is the grace that smiles
Over my soul, inspiring, reviving
Refreshing so I can always know
He is living down deep inside
Where this love invites…

Shadows to fall away
And light to enter, reflecting
The wonder of His ways,
Escape from the darkest past
Assurance that He lives
And because He gives me hope
I can always know…

Love that grows and grows!

Chirping, tiny voices
Uplifted toward the skies
Small and fragile
Yet filled with a strength
Only heaven can give
With the gift of grace
As they sing and praise

Chirping, little voices
Singing joyfully, bright
As the hues that make up
Feathered coats, hopes
For the moment
When they leave the nest
Fly fast and free,
On a endless quest
For life’s sweet dream

Chirping, charming
With chirps of happiness
Poured out from beaks
Who are near the moment
Of release, sweet dream
They will rise to the skies
Leaving their mother’s nest
To find lives, settle
For no less than the best

Chirping, singing, crooning
A never ending song
Of prayer and praise
Warbling lyrics of grace
Awakening hearts and souls
To the whispers of delight
Found in those who see
Freedom bring
These beautiful creatures
To the skies, flying…
Flying, flying, flying
Through the heights
Of God’s breathtaking skies

As they take to the skies…
Their lives remind
God always supplies
He is the provider for birds
And those who know Him
Will always be heard
As they fly through this life

Beneath the spell
Of stars, moon and night
Breathing the peace
The hope which I write
Soft hues of life
Moments to surprise, excite

Under the influence
Of dancing dreams, enchanting
Grace so abundant and wise
Beauty and love it is planting
Laughing in tender blessings
Faith is a light God is granting

Beneath the charm
Of hearts filled with love
Wonders so vibrant
Alive with joy from above
Sincere as His Son
Who brings peace like a dove

Under the power
Of beauty unbelievable
Splendor so alive
The soul is inconceivable
Kindness whispers
A song that is achievable

Beneath the allure
Of glorious prayer and praise
Comes a feeling, a sense
Of elation that will amaze
The heart who knows
His love is forever and always

Premium Member A Song of Gratitude, Prayer, and Praise

I’m thankful, Lord, for all that’s good -
My freedom, health and womanhood.
So much I have of gratitude
For warmth and shelter and good food.

Especially I’m grateful for
My family and friends and more. . .
I love thy mountains, plains and seas,
Thy many flowers, plants and trees.

May people understand the worth
Of all you’ve given us on earth.
Please bless the loved ones in my life,
Especially those now facing strife.

I pray that I will not be blind
To those in need; I must be kind.
I pray whatever comes to me,
That I’ll accept it gracefully.

Forgive my faults and silly ways.
To thee, oh Lord, I give all praise.
Praise I sing again and again
to Thee, my dear, sweet dear Lord. Amen.

Her heart is particular;
Yet her spirit yawns;
Her soul mounts inside her head;
She so rises from her bed;
With purple thoughts and prayer cloths
She's displays;
She embraces angels and Jesus around her
As she so prays?

Out of the muddle of insanity and schisms flows a constant stream of words. My thoughts come to life. From prayer and praise to flowers and rain, everything bubbles through me. Poesy keeps my mind ticking the right way.

Premium Member My Strength, My Song and My Salvation -Exodus 15: 2

God is one of perfect poetic skill supreme
sending forth an ability to capture hearts
throughout scripture, this evidence is so clear
bringing so much pleasure from many parts

Throughout scripture God brings strength
in many situations the weak become strong
when we look upwards in simple faith
trusting in the saviour where we belong

David was the musician with the harp
but so often God's people played His tune
we would sing in unison for our victory
strong in prayer and praise all before noon

God is the saviour of my soul
He alone brought me my salvation
His son paid to atone all my sin
gifting to me my blessed justification

All of this shows who is my God
my praise must always upwards rise
to my father, I indeed shall exalt Him
for He's given freely my eternal prize

('The Lord is my strength and my song,
   and he has become my salvation;
this is my God, and I will praise him,
my father's God, and I will exalt him.')

Fortunes Unchanged

FORTUNES UNCHANGED

We labour and sweat
eating from our brow
praying fasting and beseeching
Our maker the Creator

Change our fortunes
for man is to prayer and praise
a daily partaker seeking of grace
from the throne of his maker

To work and labour and sweat
enshrined in obeyance to the will
of his Creator.. that man is to labour
eating by the sweat of his brow

The creator rejoiceth in his creations
that's why his mercies are renewed each day
and we are partakers of his grace mercy and glory
attaining the miracle of the moment blessed of GOD..MAN

The Beauty of His Shield

There’s beauty in His word though we don't see His shield.
Are we caught wand'ring round while others focus in?
Beauty is encountered each time His arm's revealed.

Think you need a coat of mail on your mission field?
Do you require a gauntlet, helmet past your chin?
There’s beauty in His word though we don't see His shield.

Refuse the body armor, with sure fervor wield
the treasured sword of prayer and praise, its mighty twin.
Beauty is encountered each time His arm's revealed.

Though we pray constantly for sickness to be healed,
know there’s joy in suff’ring and find Christ’s pow’r therein.
There’s beauty in His word though we don't see His shield.

When doubt comes upon your mind, do not stop or yield,
leave that villain in the dust, Christ forgave your sin.
Beauty is encountered each time His arm's revealed.

Do not thwart your Lord, by His Spirit you are sealed.
Give Him wreaths of glory, amid the thick and thin.
There’s beauty in His word though we don't see His shield;
Beauty is encountered each time His arm's revealed.

Then It Is To Thee O Lord

When sunset's glory crowns
At eventide,
And the shades of night
Are drawing nigh,
It is to Thee O Lord
My heart shall cry.
When the night is long,
I lift my song to Thee,
The one who never
Slumbers nor sleeps,
Lo, He keeps my soul
Though the billows roll!
Then soon, twilight
Doth burst through
The open sky,
With splendor and light
O'er the horizon,
Then, too, my soul shall be rising.
Rising as the Eagles,
And soaring to the skies
Soaring on wings
Of prayer and praise
To the God of glory
To whom is worthy of all praise!

I will praise the Lord who counsels me, even at night my heart will instruct me. Psalm

Premium Member The Shadow Cast

The shadow cast was so gigantic
My shadow small could not measure up
The feeble efforts__ my meager life
To gigantic shadow that was cast

Hard workin', energetic, gifts held
So that I could grow be giant oak
Strong sturdy solid gave your all__ life
Limbs were used to heat center of home

The leaves to mulch the flowers, roses
Acorns to the feed the squirrels, deer, wild life
But what a shadow across the yard
A shady place for one to sit and grow

Or sit close to your trunk to weather
The storms that come from time to time
How I miss that Oak that is now gone
Cut down removed used for heat

Hearth and home for several winters
So long ago but the __memories
Of the beauty as you lifted
You limbs in prayer and praise
