A Powerless Wish - (CM)

Fear strikes, though you whisper to soothe my mind.
Near me, you wish for a peace I cannot find.
Pain fades, yet a wish cannot shield the blow.
Rain falls, leaving scars that will never show.

Grief stays, when a love has no strength to hold.
Brief warmth cannot rescue a heart grown cold.
Dread waits, while you carelessly guard the key.
Dead hope leaves me scared, that you too shall flee.

Day One

It's day 1
I have slept,
then the horror
burst forth from memory
Desperate fear dappled thoughts
Nothing stays, chaos reigns

Loved ones look on
No explanation or cause
Betrayal etched lines and comforting words
All is grey suffocation
Reality in rear view

Cold clinical options ahead
No hope on the horizon
A deep longing for oblivion
Lost in naked view
Finality beckons, out of reach

WE’RE NOT POWERLESS

We have the power
To overpower mongers;
Let’s out-power them:-
With powering faith and hope,
Let’s reflect empowerment!

She’s Powerless

She’s the power in his powerless her less is more, at the core of her beliefs her restraint begs for more, she’s the sanctuary he confides in when his wounded are to many. The lifetime and the life long the struggle and the believing. Coaxing remedies to his wicked, her grieving is relieving. The shame of his regret is saddled to her forgotten. Steadfast in forgiveness remorseful in his needy giving out her touch she is willing but she is greedy. Lacking thoughts of orange turn to burdens of her gray. Her warning tracks are half way spent she left a life of more demeaning, as meanings more she frees her pour to full of half retreating, in glistening grace she showed her face and showed shame its retreating.

The Powerful and the Powerless

The Powerful & The Powerless

A tiny girl looks up
and stares at the sky
She hears loud noise and sirens
But she doesn’t understand why.

She is still so very tiny
That she can barely talk.
She still drinks from a bottle
And has just learned to walk.

Her brothers and sisters are small too
Coming from a loving family
But that family has no hope
Of defeating the enemy.

Men so big and powerful
Who have military might
With guns and drones and bombs
That they cowardly use at night.

Evil ones give money
For tanks to run people down.
All the powerless have to defend themselves
Is a stone they pick from the ground.

Then the powerful seize the stone thrower
And imprison that small one.
They humiliate the helpless one
Cause for them, that is fun.

Some pretend to be victims
Using lies about their past
As an excuse to oppress others
Who aren’t in their power class.

But those who’ve truly been oppressed
Instinctively give a hand
Because having their face kicked to the ground
Is something they understand.

Powerless to Power

God can take one out
From powerless to give him
Power from heaven.

Powerless

Time and time again I fight
To make what's wrong into a right
But though I try and give it my all
I'm powerless and feel so small

The world is burning outside my window
But I have memories as a memento
Of what my life was before it became
Every day is death the same

The ones I love board up their doors
And the waves wash up upon my shore
My heart becomes so aching cold
My soul is painstakingly sold

For a drop of power, what would I give?
These tragedies I have to relive
I remember then how bad it felt
To be stuck there with the worse cards dealt

I try to give people my best
But when the fire comes to rest
The bridges cannot hold the weight
Of the burden that they all create

So I lock myself up into a cage
To contain all of my inner rage
Toss away that cursed key
To the bottom of an open sea

Depression eats away my soul
Until I turn into a ghoul
Flashbacks haunt me in my sleep
While anxiety is a cliff so steep

And every day I die a little more
Longing for what I held before
And then once again I realize
That I'm truly powerless inside

Powerless...inside

Powerfully Powerless

Don’t be arrogant
There is a difference between arrogance and confidence
Don’t think that you are the purest
Because life will show you that you are the filthiest!
Thirst for helping your brother
And you will discover that it is not only about your religion
Life will teach you that you are powerfully powerless

Powerless and Proud

I tried to the stop the climate change
I tried to stop the war
I tried to stop addiction
From my spot on the tavern floor
I used to fight the good fight
I don't do that anymore
'cause I'm powerless
And god dammit, I'm proud

I used to have opinions
That were of a certain ilk
My arguments, all polished
My reasoning, smooth as silk
You can drink your quart of Kool-Aid
And call it chocolate milk –
Me I'm powerless,
And God damnit, I'm proud

We like to think
Like to think we know the score
Screaming from our windows:
I won't take it anymore!
With the subtlety of billboards
And logic, bottom-drawer
When deep inside, we know
We're full of bull at the core

I saw placards, I heard slogans
Spouting in the market square
In the exurb of a suburb
Of affluent Montclair
The banality of platitudes
Rises from one's derriere
So be powerless
And God damnit, be proud

seams of marriage come part
as house of cards tumble down;
child's glue not holding parents
all attempts in vain

Powerless To Love

your honey dew voice
leaves me without choice
and i let my heart rejoice

Just Be

I want to be just a woman,
Weak and dependent on her husband.
Life has already started to crack,
And the truth will come out.

I don't want to feel powerless,
I don't want everyone to be offended,
The days began to drag on dreary,
I realized that I had something to lose.

I always look for a spiritual light in people,
And even where there is eternal darkness.
I don't care who, how, or what they wear,
After all, whom I love, I decide for myself.

I believe that life is very valuable,
And everything in it has a deep meaning.
So ordered the Universe itself,
And so, you remember this thought.

I don't want to live in a world of radiation
And be responsible for everyone and everything.
This way you can destroy any nation
Any nonsense, as the law of life bearing.

Society does not always live correctly,
And sometimes calls a secret Vice the truth.
Stupid people think they hold the firmament,
No one has been able to tell them the truth yet.

Lightning cut the power off four times this week
As sultry summer storms pass overhead
By candlelight, I write a letter to my sweetheart
Without him, I feel powerless

Without him, I feel powerless
By candlelight, I write a letter to my sweetheart
As sultry summer storms pass overhead
Lightning cut the power off four times this week.

World Is Powerless Ii

Morning dew falls, dripping down
like tears down humanity's pain
following the setting sun
bloodshot eyes

Earth.. nature... society
tearing at the seams
in anguish
titans in conflict

Minds fertile
in vast oblivion
lost in direction
on paths fogged to truth

Mre we powerless to(o)
effect change
or is the choice
to be powerless

The Power of a Panic Attack

The powerful palpitations pounding in my chest,
Will my heart with stand this test,
Another attack has just begun,
Abracadabra out it sprung.

Piercing pain constricting my chest,
My ribs collapsing, the attack conquering its quest,
Each breath harder, sharper, shallower than the next,
My fingers hastily clawing at my chests raw flesh.

Panic awakens my pale plain face,
Every gasp leaves a lingering lifeless taste,
Time is of the essence, prayers wont save me now,
The devils claws run deep and are dragging me down.

Awaiting me, a fiery hell of tortured terror,
My lungs burn is my soul to be condemned forever,
Just one deep breath to save my soul hear me saviour,
I beg of you I am not ready to meet my maker.

Finally the attack releases my air way,
The fatal fear and fantasies begin to fade away,
I have survived another panic attack today.
