Package Deal Poems | Examples

Premium Member The Heart Of Night

The heart of Night pierced by first light,
Dawn gives birth to a brand new day.
And wildflowers instinctively;
begin opening their petals.

Shadows scurry back into cracks,
the heart of Night pierced by first light.
And color steps from the shadows,
as the moon completes its cycle.

A spectacular sun rises
once more, to push back the darkness.
The heart of Night pierced by first light,
Sol illuminates a blue sky.

Dusk and Dawn are a package deal,
for light and dark are conjoined twins.
Dawn sparks the day that Dusk ended,
the heart of Night pierced by first light.

The Love That Stays

I didn't expect to see God showing me,
To remind me of what I already knew indefinitely,
The emotions become overwhelming and try to stand in the way,
But then again I knew God intentionally built me this way,
For without that part of me how could I ever feel?
It's ingrained in my spirit, it's part of the heal,
It's like walking on a tightrope trying to keep your balance,
To over feel or under feel in a world so unbalanced,
While you're walking on the rope, you focus on the other side,
While also focusing taking each step carefully on a straight line,
You cannot focus on one more than the other,
Because it's a package deal it all comes together,
So as many times as you fall you get back up again,
With breaks in between while you study the path,
To the texture of the rope, and the type of shoes you must wear,
To the weight of the layers of clothing, to the height you're in the air,
You go back and get back up again, you remember the other side,
And know the love you're living for, the love that saves your life.

Joy

Joy is not a package deal
With smiles, screams of mirth,
It comes when the simplest things
Suddenly gives joy a birth.
Meeting an old friend
Could give you ecstasy,
Seeing the caller; as the one
That once captured your fantasy.
Seeing your pet in the house
Whom you missed when away,
Having a glass of chilled beer
On a hot summer’s day.
Joy comes without fanfare
Unheralded and promptly
It is that moment when
You begin to feel jolly.

Premium Member The Naked Truth

"All a man really wants, is a girl who looks good in a bikini." - Jack Freestone

Hate to admit but Jack is right.
What matters most? How fit and tight!

Plus slender legs that stretch a mile,
Accompanied by a sweet smile.
IQ, in flair of flirtation -
Subject to negotiation.
In fantasy of sex appeal
Bikini seals the package deal.

So Jack is right, there’s no contest,
The naked truth is worth the test.

Obedience

Obedience is what we have to do. We have to listen to God who is true. It keeps you in the right direction. Without it, you will be judged in revelation. Obedience is like your parents telling you to do what’s right. It’s your destination of light. It comes in only one way and that is to listen to Jesus Christ and pray. Obedience comes in a package deal. When your a child of God your forehead will be sealed. Blessings come from obedience. When God created you, you came into existence. Just obey and lift your hands to praise. Holy Holy is my God that I crave. God Bless!

Carrousel

Orbiting a pole is it's sole function
I have yet to determine a purpose
The bedazzle causes the children to run
But the idea, I can't quite interpret

A merry go round would suit just fine
No need for heads or tails
No creepy eyes staring in to mine
No music, whistles or bells

It defies reason, if your thinking logically
With Lions, tigers and bears
This haunted contraption forever taunts me
My nightmares begin at the fair

   Rusting gold and chipped paint
Up, down and around
You may take a spin, but I feel faint
With the tune of a devilish sound

Clowns are usually a package deal
When this sinister circle's in motion
Not bothered too much by their wicked appeal
Only this revolving locomotion

A Few of My Favorite Things

Steady rain vibrating a tin roof
Refreshing breeze from a screen door
Untouched linen on a strange bed
A few luxuries, I adore

Roaring thunder rocks me to sleep
Birds in song for when I wake
Cat naps on the couch in between
Happiness, I can't mistake

Cappuccino and knit throw
Sipping wine as the sun retires
The aroma of steak on the grill
Chatting for hours beside the fire

Up before dawn, packed for a trip
Surviving on adrenaline, alone
Witnessing something for the first time
Learning something, I hadn't known

Anticipating the first kiss
Butterflies, a package deal
Old dirt roads on the side by side
Just me, behind the wheel

Taking a stroll in solitude
Not a soul to entertain
A question with a difficult answer
Finally explained

The completion of a daunting task
Receiving thanks and praise
Laughing too hard to catch my breath
Precious moments to fill my days

Wicked Seduction

Her love is a tenacious hurricane
A vicious tide knocking me down
A heavy, steady, angry rain
blanket of water consuming the ground

Her touch is poison, penetrating my flesh
An addictive venom inside my veins
Lethal toxins that weren't meant to mesh
Taking my life by the reigns

Demonic and sexy in her red high heels
Sporting a halo that hangs by a thread
A thief of hearts, she carelessly steals
Her disease rapidly spreads

Pleasant and painful, a package deal
Drawing me in with sexual bait
Her affection for me is far from real
Though my desires and I debate

I'm haunted by the ghosts of those fallen
From the spell of her wicked finesse
But her powerful grip, has me stalling
She is a masterful temptress

My Instructor, Bill

Flew control line planes till I met Bill
Who said, RC is the way
Give up that stuff, I’ll teach you RC
It’s a more fun way to play

RC stands for radio control
Had to buy a bunch of stuff
I bought it all as a package deal
Bill said, “You now have enough”

Bill and I hit it off from the start
We seemed to both think the same
He was a top commercial pilot
Retired and loves model planes

An experienced and good teacher
He would patiently cajole
He helped me get my trainer all built
Taught me radio control

When the day came to give it a try
Bill hooked up a buddy box
That enabled him to take control
Keep the plane out of the rocks

Bill saved my bacon many a time
Help keep my plane in one piece
He’d give enough slack so I could learn
But knew when to “pull the lease”

Little by little I learned to fly
Gave me a really big thrill
The comradery was half the fun
The credit all goes to Bill

No U

in the beginning
god who liked the full package deal confused the angel of death who ruined a future, we were invited to, why is that not a thing anymore god?

whenever we are under and mark him again
with lady luck's cursed number

Poetic Pestilence / Or, I Hate Bugs!!!

I'm sitting at a desk,
no longer mine,
in a house that is no more,
before me, a glass of wine,
and a book I've seen before

a journal, forty years old,
my wisdom then, was somehow
seemingly far greater and visionary,
than what I have just now...

there's termites in my floorboards,
there's termites in my mind
I need a good exterminator,
to save me from their kind....

a package deal he offers,
including soup to nuts,
I told him very firmly,
I am a poetry soup nutty putz....

you put a cockroach in my home,
you'll see me burn it down...
I hate bugs so very much,
the mere thought brings me a frown

give me mice, if you have to,
give me termites if you must,'
but put a cockroach in my home,
I'll soon enough turn it into dust

ticks should only infest clocks,
fleas for a political refugee,
bed bugs only for a mattress store,
and ants to keep uncles company
I'm afraid then to follow this logic,
and think of what cockroachs
intend for their encroaches

just the thought of this subject,
the disgusting world of bugs,
makes me awful nauseous,
with lots and lots of "Ughs"!!!
