She's never loved broken love poems,
but now she writes them.
She's always feared swollen heads and broken tones,
yet now she finds she fights them.
Despite her mother's devotion,
she's forgotten the taste of oxytocin -
broken bonds within the unspoken, spoken.
Now emotion runs frozen
underneath hollow motions.
These days she spends her time playing theologian.
Here's my question:
No one cares to know someone like that,
do they?

Such a cruel world, we live in.
Everyone's breathing, but some are living.
Romance is overrated; love doesn't exist.
All smiles for the pictures, happiness in chemicals—
dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins.
What are we, robots or machines?
What happened to humanity?
Nowadays, being an open book
Is not a good look.
Whatever happened to writing compassionate letters,
giving time to what truly matters?
Such a cruel world is this!
Beauty is Botox and surgeries;
hookup culture rules, believers of love are fools.
What happened to hugging the trees
and running with the gentle breeze?
What happened to singing with starlings,
strolling near streams,
putting wildflowers in hair,
fish stroking your feet bare?
What happened to humanity?
The wise losing their sanity,
the dumb being prideful of their insanity.
Everywhere you go, you find hypocrites,
Preaching morals to nitpicks.

As her eyes are rehearsing those unspoken words,
Her mind is trying to sync with the rhythm of her soul, yet unknown.
With tunes unsung and plays rewritten,
She finds herself swindling between different worlds in an array.
With lullabies sung and voices embracing in unison,
Her soul still yearns for a place to retire.
As much as she enjoys the domineering adrenaline rush through her veins,
The thrill of chase made her forget the warmth of a quiet embrace.
She wants to experience the softened kiss of oxytocin.
Where numerous words can be communicated, within an untamed silence.
A dimensionless canvas to paint words,
That cries out the rhythms of her soul.
With silence ripping her out of the race,
She wants to put herself in solace.
With tears of laughter and cries of joy,
Her soul is in an unwavering dilemma.
As her eyes are rehearsing those unspoken words,
She realizes she needs a burst of dopamine,
For her lesson practices yet to be sung.

Dogs Are The Best
Dogs were the first of the animals to tame.
And over millennia, they have retained their fame.
No matter where my dogs might be,
I know they’re always protecting me.
And they would, their lives, gladly give,
Without a thought so I would live.
I love them so much. How much, you say?
We’re never apart for even one day.
And when we touch, we all get a surge,
Of oxytocin that will purge,
Any bad feelings that we may feel,
And make us all feel so ideal.
So when you see a dog you don’t know,
Be kind to it and try to show,
That you understand,
And let the dog sniff your hand.
You might just make a new friend,
And see a wagging tail end.

The hurts you can't express
The love you cannot give up
Tears are familiar, happiness a distant foe.
Walking on tiptoe, pain stabbing through the muscle
Endorphin's clash with oxytocin gentle might
Pain so vivid, hearts breaking to million pieces
Self love it is....

Children of the macrocosmic implosion
grow the seeds of bioluminescent oxytocin
Symbiotic by design, the prana and the potion
That dihydrogen monoxide flow of all word spoken
Existential kintsugi thaws out every heart frozen
and gilds the cracks in every single circle unbroken
Those chosen?
Those awoken here to serve in devotion
with the motion of the ocean
Salt of Earth for the wounds that will open
We, the tides that choose to rise
Open eyes and light the skies
We, the lanterns on the darkest paths
Compasses that guide
So we stay loyal to the mission
Seek absolution of division
Bring the North, the South, the East, the West
a centralized vision
A whole revision, it's vital
A microcosmic revival
Let the ripples make the waves that lift us
out of survival
DIY EMF from inside you
Evergreen that exhales to ignite you
Eat the fruits of the Spirit that light you
and watch the Universe grow to provide you

Grab a pill
Grab a pill, with chemicals filled
Endocrine to shut down, not to feel
We are told, this is to help us cope
But through it all we can't find hope
Without hope, we get more depressed
Another pill, down our throats pressed
Making us numb, making us dumb
Walking zombies, we have become
A cereal bowl of pills, for breakfast
Taking vitamins, that are unbeneficed
Colourant, flavour, preservative - poison
Our money for big pharma - foison
So grab another pill, to fill the void
Listen to the mumbo jumbo of Freud
Another script to fill, to make you dead
As long as you never, have a clear head
Grab a pill, serotonin to kill
Endorphins and oxytocin to still
Without dopamine, you won't feel reward
All the doctors and pharma have an accord

Kiss me, kiss me
Till trilogy of chemicals,
Dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin
Cause liaison between
Physiology and cosmology
Concrete and abstract
That unveils the unexplored world
Between you and me,
The better half of the universe
Kiss me till bliss rolls down every vein
And brings Genesis flood
To feel the rhythm of heaven
In this electromagnetic body.

The man wondered, "What is hope?"
Metacognition defined, it's nothing but a dope.
The heart objected to the proposition.
And told it's an ambiguous anticipation.
The prefrontal cortex made the reasoning disentwine.
And equated hope with the level of dopamine.
The enterochromaffin cells rejected the cortical rationality.
And signified serotonin's vitality.
Posterior pituitary smiled sarcastically.
And illustrated oxytocin's role affectionately.
The man woke up out of this exasperation.
Though dream, but intrigued by the imagination.
He asked," Is hope just a chemical state?"
Consciousness whispered it's not that straight.

The Wind Mocked My Brother
Serene it appeared to on the surface,
Its scarred face brother could not locate,
Her lips spoke as a false prophet,
But helpless brother did not inspect,
He was blown like the morning glory,
Brother was stabbed in the chest by the hands of cocaine and marijuana.
He thought it was praises he was given when loaded his footprint with people who followed him in his doom,
He tried to fit in, he never even knew which room,
Brother was abused.
The spirit that incites with the feeling which rises the serotonin levels,
Led a massive struggle,
Only because he wanted brother bedraggled,
He provided false oxytocin and fooled the boy to set narcissism lead him to the grave,
The grave where one is buried while perambulating the corridors of his dreams with no hope.
Brother was mocked,
Brother was mocked,
Don't say he used to be a star,
Where has he gone?
Beneath the blanket of the cloud of despair as he seeked to be repaired,
Addiction kills.

dear mother,
your nurturing is so warm that my DNA denatures because of it,
but at the same time your neutral appearance reseals it.
my bonding to you is like protein structure it takes step to become strong,
like primary, secondary ,tertiary and quaternary structure.
whenever i see you mom, my pitutary start releasing oxytocin,
that gives a positive feedback to my brain.
you are the 3 line of defence of my body,
simply you are oxygen of my life,
as without you cellular respiration and vital organs will not work.

Wandering upon the Sandy shores of the ocean,
Deeply in thoughts and anticipating a bright horizon,
I think of my love.
She molds my heart with peace,
She adorns my face with smiles,
That I can only glide,
The waves tossed and turn,
On my skin the sun burns,
But all I feel is her love.
Her love is a magic carpet,
Whose ride takes me beyond the moon,
Gently as she holds my hand,
My heart throbs beneath my ribs like an antelope
that's running to a Brook for a drink,
My Endocrine system becomes more active, releasing oxytocin,
Our hearts are locked in the dawn of real love,
Tender and kinder,
Purer and brighter.
The sand can't write our stories,
The moon can't capture our moment,
No camera man can either,
For our love goes deeper in the inner most part of our bones,
From the enamel in our mouths,
To the villi in our intestines,
To the marrows in our bones,
Our love goes down.
Forever and ever and always.
A Love story cut short.

After nine months of pregnancy she was admitted to the nearest hospital with no labor pain so artificial oxytocin was given but nothing transpired. Child laid in her womb position footling breech and finally took birth after caesarean. Baby was looking like a red apple and an ordinary female child with dreams to accomplish.

“It's so strange how life works: You want something and you wait and wait and feel like it's taking forever to come. Then it happens and it's over and all you want to do is curl back up in that moment before things changed.”
— Lauren Oliver, Delirium
DELIRIUM
oxytocin on her sleeve
where she
dribbled;
bonnet bunched up
chucked in closet.
a harum-scarum skeleton,
big knobby head
on baptismal pillow.
its silk molding;
trichotillomania.
feverish chattering
of bony teeth,
always half-asleep.
the purring of a kitten,
warm with milk.
she’s verifiable.
