Lost in Superficiality

Such a cruel world, we live in. Everyone's breathing, but some are living. Romance is overrated; love doesn't exist. All smiles for the pictures, happiness in chemicals— dopamine, serotonin, oxytocin, and endorphins. What are we, robots or machines? What happened to humanity? Nowadays, being an open book Is not a good look. Whatever happened to writing compassionate letters, giving time to what truly matters? Such a cruel world is this! Beauty is Botox and surgeries; hookup culture rules, believers of love are fools. What happened to hugging the trees and running with the gentle breeze? What happened to singing with starlings, strolling near streams, putting wildflowers in hair, fish stroking your feet bare? What happened to humanity? The wise losing their sanity, the dumb being prideful of their insanity. Everywhere you go, you find hypocrites, Preaching morals to nitpicks.

Dearest Anne, Yes, you have shown the truth about how modern life often trades depth for surface-level love reduced to chemicals, beauty for procedures, and connection for curated images. Research shows social media can fuel unrealistic expectations, diminish real intimacy, and leave us feeling isolated or dissatisfied. Yet, as you long for wildflowers, handwritten letters, and genuine joy, humanity truly needs authenticity, compassion, and wonder. Wonderfully Written. Spring Blessings, My Dearest Anne, Daniel

Dearest Daniel, I don't know why but I just love simplicity. I love nature, simple things and most of all reading good books. I love writing letters just for the sake of writing letters. In the modern world, we can send messages to anyone in seconds but there's just something about writing letters that is so wonderful. Thank you, my dearest Daniel, I love reading your lovely notes. It surely is a crazy world. I loved last night, where I gave my grandson these 2 lightup balls (my husband brought home from a meeting) They were colorful. I put on Star Wars music and he was dancing in the dark and into the reflection of the t.v. It was a special moment…just pure joy.
