fleeting moon

The quicksilver moon’s not secure in her orbit.
I’ve heard that she’s slyly slipping away,
One and a half inches yearly
so a little bit every day.

I, for one, want her to stay.
‘Oh meritorious silver sister, you have no dark side,
and I’ve grown used to your capricious light,
Why do you only hover at night?”

I think of her as

Low Earth Orbit

Not quite on hold
    but holding on for sure
Cyclical unfolding
    that we both endure

Over the horizon
    uncertainty at best
Each day a fresh arising
    by which we are blessed

Orbiting ever lower
    ‘gainst gravity’s harsh pull
Only tugs the mortal coil;

Always Within Orbit

Always looking out for me, just like the gently glowing full moon,
Even though in broad daylight some days he cannot be found,
I know he always comes orbiting around again soon.

A fresh breeze that loves to drape all around,
And give hearty embrace to every heart,
A bird forever of drifting orbit,  
Ready, lifelong and more to meander. 

I drift, to drift is my inane nature,
To me, an inch of movement how so vague
Is better than a mile of intention,
World, called jagat is what moves forever.

Should ye pry open my personal space, 
Remember, my core privacy to spare, 
Pray take me not as a child's cosy bear, 
Let me get lost in search of unknown me, 

I love to roam like a rudderless ship 
And seek fresh breeze from where so it may waft, 
Uncharted, drift to what so fancies

Wonders of the world all around
Wondering what it will be like
To be a cherished kind of sound

The Quest for Restless Orbit

Wandering alone with a heart that’s aching evidence  
The fences you’re always sitting on, more numerous than my internal injustices 
Not that I can really talk 
Choking on all my hypocrisies 
And biting my tongue in place of healing through the words “I disagree” 

We were just time wasted from landfill clocks

dedicated presentations
stunning
 sensuous
eyes hiding
a shared intimacy
  an imagined intensity
candlelit

 a turn of events
   a focus wondered
intense expectations
proposed
  consumed
affecting imagination
so poignant
this
impotency
  thwarted
& eluded

A Human Rabbit

He, alone, within our orbit
Might one call Rabbit, 
Having picked up Rabbit’s Habit
And Rabbit’s Smell does emit
Without pitying limit…
A Rabbit on merit!
Earning The -More -Than -A -Credit!

For watching him at it 
Your bank account debit
At least a little bit
For your face that shall be lit
And, laughing, end in a pit.
