Never two clouds the same
Not in shape,
Not in size,
Not in colour.
Designer divine
Final purpose in mind
His sky protected from man
Without a beginning or end.
Mankind gives them names
Stratocumulus, cirrus,
Cumulonimbus,
Nimbostratus,
And low stuff even called fog.
Sad thing that so often
Mankind being clever
Disfigures God’s heaven
With plane-trails
All over.
The Bible tells clearly
That the heavens declare
The glory of God
Hallelujah! Amen!
“The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.”
Psalm 19:1. NKJV

In between rain drops of nimbostratus skies,
he sheds salty tears at our ocean's demise..
Sharks with their peculiar odd strides,
dead sea lions and whales wash in on oily tides..
Deep in the jungle where the lions abide, he
hears the baby elephants cries. Alone, now
orphaned from dawn til dusk, their mother's
slaughtered to sell the tusks..
Acres of forests rich in oaks and pines logged,
decimated for the needs of mankind..
This gracious gift given at his command to allow
humans to be guardians over seas and land.
God entrusted us with our planet earth, not to
dominate nature on land and surf..
Our planet, exploited, depleted, hurting.
God is sadly disappointed and that is for certain.

The sky offered no sign of rain
No pitter patter songs were heard
It seemed flowers would wait in vain
The sky offered no sign of rain
There was just a dusty refrain
No nimbostratus were stirred
The sky offered no sign of rain
No pitter patter songs were heard

Bearing the weight of signs and kindly murk,
no frock on hands, I glory in my work.
O joy of first snow - I beam in the cold,
starved for the feast of December Eve gold.
Of dark dreary nights, balm to dwell inside.
Not so, when the sky unveils a white bride.
Twirling, grinning like a little girl, smiles
fall from nimbostratus clouds a short while.
Simplicity, from God’s trust, delivers,
bright cheeriness and heavenly shivers.

Euphoria exploiting like sunshine
A rainbow starts to occur
Colors happily emerging
Mist soon to expose thyself from a fierce-looking nimbostratus
Welted roses wait patiently for more than a drink and a chance at life
Intoxicating smell of rain arrives
Birds chirping change notes calmly
Mountain peak tops covered in fog
Refreshing aura idles territories
Finally, rain comes one by two
The soil of the earth once again hydrates as the rainbow lingers on to the next euphoria

Form: I do not know?
It’s a caliginous hour.
All this universe of verse
Portrays random snippets of you,
It does not spell out the alphabet of reality,
As I utter, compliment,
And offer rivers of lexical jewels
You’d find tender in the ode of fatherly love,
Under this nimbostratus sky.
The misty waves of darkness,
The dim corridors of schism,
And, to be found, a delicate fleur
In the blossom of the night,
When threadbare tales are being told,
When artifice is the bard of conviction,
When imperfections are buried
In the deepest grave of psyche,
Exhort and merit the submission to death.
And death? What an ultimate finality that is!
Admired and celebrated, but not just yet!
The zeal is felt as a song is sang to the harp,
Blest, I am on this day, blest because of you,
Blest by sagacity, and by your determination
To embrace life, and tackle the obstacles.
And it is then that my fondness erupts
At the Banquet of love with bass-relief
Engraved into my heart for eternity,
It is then that life has a meaning,
As the voice is heard,
As marching on continues.

certainly
not my kind of day
disenchantment
hovers above
a sad heaven
about to cry
brooding,
ominous
nimbostratus clouds
and trees
blot out
afternoon sun rays
fruitful expectations
sprouted...
barring a multitude
of ripe hopes,
yet, unforgiving fire
did rage...
and reduced them
to rubble and ash.
a saturnine day
even mockingbirds
refuse to sing.
all was right
just yesterday!
what happened?

Look high to the hills to see peaks of icy water laden tops
Water is flowing downwards into winding streams
The permeation of ponds, lakes, rivers and the mighty seas
Thus a supply-chain like feed supplying all watery needs
The Sun's fierce heat induces water evaporation
A dark daunting nimbostratus starts hovering
A mystical misty moist cloud of condensation
that produces many rain droplets pouring
White-water overflows in steep canyon gorges
Grapes, figs and dates in the fields are made ripened
Flowers flourish and many fruits can be eaten
Water is flowing resolutely and continually,
into the great ocean's mouth
Sun's incandescence purifies water:
Water vapors are making an upward ascension
to clouds of cumulus, cirrocumulus and cirrus
These are white fluffy aeronautical rain vehicles
The waters again start descending:
To form again white snowy watery capped ice tops
This upon many mountains zenith spots
This a perpetual, continuous, isochronism
of the Life supporting cycle:
Ice, Liquid and Vapor
All making an ever vibrant and repeated musical
crescendo, nature's "Watery Phases"

SUMMER CALL OF LIGHTNING BUGS AND RAIN
At dusk of Spring, the lightning buzz of bugs.
The sinkhole drain of creeks, its bed - depressed.
What hell has issued this? Clouds, down the dugs!
The faded sky, blue dry, thus has oppressed.
Oh heaven come close, with manna wet hugs!
With mercy prayer, to God, our sins confessed.
At summer’s dawn, a nimbostratus calls.
The sun is hot beneath the gorgeous falls.
~ ~ ~
The drought, a distant thought, as rain conceives.
The humid clouds do water grass and ferns.
A summer rain rebirths red wagon. Leaves,
submerged in verdant waft. The earth’s soil turns
to crimson mud, and raindrops drain off eaves.
A prosperous psalm, the creek with child churns.
The palpitations - thunder of my soul.
Strong pulse of Summer rain - a fruitful bowl.

So what's your status,
Nimbostratus?
Are you here to stay, like old Aunt Gladys?
- To rain and rain until we're glad it's
Not for you to own the day,
But eventually must fade away
Before the steady strugglings of the sun
Which must break through once they've begun
To tear apart your greyish gloom
And give the sunlight proper room
To push along those friendly, fluffy clouds
Through blue skies where you're not allowed.
So go thy way, ignoble cloud!
Carry off that misty shroud
Below which you have so confined us,
And let us put thy wet behind us
And revel in the newborn sun,
It's warmth welcome to everyone.
You overstay your station here
Far beyond what would appear
A decent spate of soft rainfall;
Your prescence doth begin to pall
When you hover close from day to day.
All caught beneath wish you away,
And confer on you non-gratis status,
O aggravating nimbostratus!
