FLAME

Asks a moon mate
if I still feel that subtle
 flame beneath my heart
when she seeks to reach for me
I smile at her fleeting warmth
 and move ahead

Premium Member His Amazing Grace

Line of inquiry:
“Neither desire nor aversion
 Meditation our immersion
 Conditioned beliefs discarded
Hymns we hum are our own version”

A child I was, when Nuns taught me in school;
so God was with me from an early age.
The catechism shaped for me each rule-
my soul's foundation at this tender stage,
to help unlock a door I would engage.

My reading about God was not the key-
but seeing what He is- enlightened me.
That feeling that He's near in all I do,
the balances of nature, my guarantee-
internal hymns of love, faith, hope, accrue.

I sing the hymn of Love through family,
and feel God's care is echoed from each heart.
I sing the Hymn of Faith, a tapestry
of sunset glow that leads to a fresh start,
and sing my Hymn of Hope on new day's chart.

Love, Faith, and Hope are His Amazing Grace-
my heart and soul, with God there, interface.

Premium Member St. Cera

In her hair, she placed a rose,
so like her own curling petals;
richly red, her eyes deep blue
A sweet lilt musical as heaven.
In her heart from birth she sensed
love as wide and deep, all seas!
And through her life she sought
her God, only for him to please….
She danced over the rough stages
of life, her leaps resounding rhythms.
She sang a sacred healing Light --
though born late, in a dark eve her
unrelenting Irish never gave way
to night.

Premium Member Muffled Cough

In purpose to uplift the spirit
I got up and said hey ho
I thought, if you could hear it
You’d likely say, hello
I heard your muffled cough
Through the ajar kitchen door
I dashed to see you, love
I passed the corridor
I popped into the sitting room
And checked the bedroom too
I smelled no Gatineau perfume
I saw no sign of you
It wasn’t a trick of tired mind
I’ve heard your cough, I swear
But you were out of sight
Just when I thought you’re there
Inside a room, or maybe
Out in the pretty wild
My garden on the balcony
It could’ve made you smile.

Premium Member I Knew You

I knew you when I first met you
I knew you just by looking into your eyes
Your eyes held my attention
Your smile would not let me go
I fell in love with you
Before you even spoke
We sat and talked for hours
Slowly our time was coming to an end
And I didn’t want the afternoon to stop
Because I knew you
And I would be apart again.
Our lives just would not work in this life
My heart was breaking because I knew you
Fate was being cruel to us
We didn’t even stand a chance
As much as we cared for each other
Forces were keeping us apart
No matter how hard we tried
We could not make it work
We had to say goodbye
But I am so glad I knew you

though some hands heal whilst others hurt
bliss of heart continues to spurt
we burn and continue to learn
here and now in mind-body urn
in waters of love as we wade
heart knows soul’s light will never fade

Divine Mother’s kiss ~
Is a tryst with bliss

Premium Member hidden wealth

what you give is what you keep

Premium Member PRAISE

morning rises clean,
a bright hymn
poured across the waking fields.

I breathe it in,
every gold-tipped moment
turning my heart.

from that stillness,
praise gathers softly,
rising like warm light
toward the Divine

Premium Member follow the scent

our heart just knows because it flows
repaying debts of love it owes
without any computation
exuding fragrance of a rose

poised in the void of cessation
love and light our meditation
each breath we embrace and release
in mood and mode celebration

bliss pheromones follow the breeze
enlivening with carefree ease
breaking through each ego built wall
causing frigid hearts to unfreeze

even in darkness we stand tall
because who we are we recall
beyond space and time at the source
as the flame that births love’s bliss squall

Premium Member Eternal Flame

From dust to dust
Earthly body must return
For eternal life
The soul must learn

Do no harm
Much love to emphasise
No fear just calm
The soul will rise

Discover all that is arcane
When we pass from here to there
The pinnacle eternal flame
Before we leave wisdom to share

To Honor Winter's Shadows

Society does not always like
to see the grace and the wisdom
of the quiet solemn Capricorn

It's often falsely said by many
that they are bitter and angry
and arrogant and full of scorn

But while it is too true that they
have indeed always been serious
since the day that they were born

In the deep realms in places unseen
these mergoats create paths forward
for the forgotten and for the forlorn

Note: This poem originally would have stood alone but some astrology enthusiasts seem to have enjoyed it. So, I've decided to make this poem part of a 12-part poem series. The next one in this series will be about Aquarius.

Premium Member Thought of the day

If there be no love, there will be disdain ~
wake up dear one, for how long will you feign

Premium Member Zen mode

our heart region is a bliss globe
and head ovoid the cosmic egg
revealed when we slowly disrobe
prayer on lips for freedom beg

what’s there to be said about this
as we become love, light and bliss

Spirit of Love

Love can align with anything.
And anyone can be your everything.
Your spirit is such a special thing.
Mold your heart with better means.
Believe in God unwavering.
Align your spirit with God.

[This 5-line verse is from my poem, Dig, (2022)]
