Blue water,
many pretty shades.
Licking sand,
and footprints.
Calm or a roaring big storm,
heavenly to me.
Clouds saying,
we are white with gray.
Rain today,
maybe clear.
Attached to blue sky backdrop,
for bright sunny day.
Nature lives,
in trees and flowers.
Beauty watch,
now blooming,
Watch Spring is now showing off,
colors everywhere.
The other day I saw a platypus
Licking the feathers of a real-live goose
Goose honked something fierce
Platypus’ heart pierced
Tomorrow it’ll smell a north woods moose
Mom's fried chicken, crispy fine
tender and juicy
steaming first delicious bite
dripping down my chin
hot drumstick beckons
licking lips
crunch!
I once lived with a yapping trash-licker
a two faced dead soul and side back kicker
she treated me like a tart~
I didn't like her rotting fart
makes my golden fringe cringe, and grow thicker..
She’s a noodle-haired witch..selling old fries
flying in over-sized panties, she cries
begging to be seen, she craps,
beware of her diss rap traps
I ain't her nanny to sing when she lies..
the mint chocolate ice cream treats on tasty waffle cone
three grandkids set to see who can lick it fast from the cone
the first one, eating with spoon, if it drips, its finger licking good
the second, licks it from top, catches if it drops, gulps it for good
third, sips, enjoys it from a hole at the end of the cone
On a sunny day we sit by a stream,
I offer him a cherry cone ice cream.
Seeing how melting one drips
as supple pink down my lips,
he says he’ll lick those instead and I scream.
DON’T STOP LICKING THE BOWL
For the child in me, the child in you,
days of chocolate cake for two;
and no matter how we flowers bloom,
leave a little on the spoon...
and when our stories are often told,
our heads gray, our hearts are gold,
like fragrant gardens now in bloom,
our legacies are left there in the room,
and no matter how primped or dignified,
our nails be done, our hairs be dyed,
Let the gossip be good but truthfully told,
that we never stopped licking the bowl!
When a cat licks himself all over people smile and call it preening.
When a dog licks himself people frown and ask….”why does he do that?”

FIRST PLACE
Cats are the cleanest animals on the planet
Constantly licking their fur, sure gets my ballot
In fact they lick each other
Their sisters and brothers
Imagine! Eeuw, not yummy for my palate
Ha! Fooled you!
She stood at the counter
Paying for her heart's desire
As her friend stood back
Looking on at her roaring fire
...hoping for warmth
He supported this cause and that
Throwing money like rain
But his eyes were completely blind
To his friend's constant pain
...beating like a drum
She didn't have much
So she cleaved to relief in any form
He reached to lift her up
Out of the raging storm
...with a plunk in her pail
He worked to uphold the law
But longed to balance the scales
As he passed the teen in the night
The film thinned and fell
...to his yearning knees
Money can only buy what it believes
