The Author of Every Page

Do to others as you seek,
Let kindness shine, make prayers unique.
Even when they mock and scorn,
Still bless them from dusk to dawn.

For God, in love so deep and true,
Held us close when we withdrew.
The Word made flesh drew near to stay,
Though we had wandered far away.

Upon that Cross, in the darkest night,
He interceded for us at Mercy’s seat.
The One who sent the floods before,
Now guides us through the Shepherd’s door.

He who gives good gifts with grace,
Says, ‘I won’t forget your face.’
Though kith and kin may turn aside,
Your name is in His palm inscribed.

The Author of our every page,
Writes ‘Redeemed’ through each new stage.
Once lost, now found - His Blood restores,
A life of victory forevermore!

I tried to draw the attention
of the disinterested God
who builds the weather.

“Send us snow - just a few feet
make our Christmas fantasy complete”
I pleaded, but she never interceded.

Angels, that will-less posse of hers
only seem to watch earth’s slaughter
as the wind carries a warm disregard.

If it's your purpose Father I will continue to wait patiently at times
I can't be still for your will for me will be done in your timing not
mines. When i tried to things my way it did't work you always
interceded, I couldn't see you were protecting me from myself.

The adage goes two wrong don't make it right therefore don't
point fingers at me and call me out of my name because of
insecurities you make accusations I have. Second chances my
Father has given me to be set free from my obscurities now
I'll continue to grow father for my love hasn't changed and I will
remain your same daughter even though flesh and blood often switch
            around.

One Half

A sailboat floats without a sail.
It’s like a shovel minus pail
Or else a hammer sans a nail,
One half of what is needed.

A tennis court without a net,
An error made with no regret;
A workout lacking any sweat,
A rye bread that’s unseeded.

A birthday passing with no cake,
A pile of leaves without a rake.
In every case, a true mistake
If no one interceded.

Did I tell you that I prayed for you?
Today
Today
Did I tell you that I spoke to God this day?
Is it Okay

Is it alright that I interceded
I’m Okay to pray
For you, this day

Did I tell you that I loved you in spite of your sins?
Some of which are not so easily broken
I don’t hate you, but I do hate your sin(s)
I don’t dislike you, but your wrong/choice your behavior

Did I tell you that I prayed for you?
Today
Today
Did I tell you that I spoke to God this day?
Is it Okay

Is it alright that I interceded
I’m Okay to pray
For you, this day

He pours through my soul, like silky hot chocolate; I dream of loving smiles and a golden heart. A guardian spirit whose voice I’ve heard only once. You kept me safe as I trembled, looking down that gun barrel and told me things would be fine if I didn’t move. No child should be a bullets victim and you interceded; kept that demon brat’s finger and the trigger. Now I see you in dreams or a fleeting glance in a corner of my eye; you’re always there; the granddad I never had a chance to know, in this life.

Spirits ride the winds;
Soft etheric caress is
A spirit’s embrace.

My Healing Prayer
Written: by Tom Wright
 The “Miracle Man”
6/30/2018

Jesus, the Good Shepherd, you’ve heeded another’s plea,
While on the far side knowing, they interceded for me.
You touched my body during Sudden Cardiac Arrest,
Placing me in the low percentile, who survive this test.

You gave sagacity to those who attended me, each day,
Your Spirit was mentoring them, each step of the way.
You know what it’s like to endure pain and even loss,
For you gave your life for my sin, upon a cruel cross.

My cardiologist called me Lazarus, others, Miracle Man,
And at times the Protected One epitomizing God’s plan;
Now I seek to feel useful and productive once again,
And thank you Lord Jesus for your healing touch. Amen.

Moment of Truth

I was walking with two friends of mine,
when we saw a woman
who was tall, beautiful and black
They spoke lewd to her,
so she didn't speak back
In their rejected anger,
they cursed her in a cruel, mean tone
That's when I interceded,
and said leave the poor woman alone
My two friends looked at me
like I was some kinda traitor
That day we parted ways,
there would be no more days of "see ya later"

In a moment of truth,
will you stand up for the truth?
Or will you back down,
and keep your mouth shut?

It's moments like those
that reveal what manner of person you are
Will you be naked or clothed?
Will your spirit be dark,
or will it shine like a star?

Nobody ever said friendships are forever,
not when you have to compromise
your integrity in a matter

In a moment of truth,
don't keep your mouth closed
Let your voice roar
like a lion, strong and bold!

Oge

OGE

                                 Crushed dreams exploded friendships eroded,
                                  stubbornness, selfishness and ego interceded,
expectations of true friendships forever eroded.

Mystique, curiosity gives the urge to peek,
but critiques week after week , send a message
                                                 there's a mean streak.
Always like a kid wanting to be applauded,or a
confused adult needing to be lauded, friendly at
                                  times, ugly at others .

                                                     Yoyo idiosyncrasies
flexing like Jekyll and Hyde, a crazy pretender,
never had a nurturer, stuck in mixed moods
one that love and friendships eludes

Permission

Permission is needed ,
before loved ones can leave,
the heart interceded,
but spirits do grieve,

Blood In the Street

As we drink peacefully under the moon
With a long cow's horn caved beautifully
We also dip our hands in one plate
With smiling faces and beautiful fingers
Free from guilty and blood
Picking the pieces of fish in the sweet soup.
We prayed for oneness and love
Among our folks under the half white moon
We also interceded for our great country
The leaders thereof,
We prayed to see one another like this tomorrow.

But suddenly, we heard a louder noise
A sharp sound boomed
We were frightened with our spirits
Jumping out from our body.
Then< they entered and began to kill .
We do not know them
We only saw them as terrorist.
Next we saw blood all over the street
Men could not go after their wealth
Nor women after their children.

They killed in thousand with bomb
Buried in the ground
Blood of the innocent and babies
Men and women, of youth and teenagers
Spread in the street like water
Just like the days of the civil war.
They killed all our brothers and sisters
Left us naked in the dark
Even those we believed to see tomorrow are gone weeping.
Those we dined together five seconds ago
Were all gone in tears
Their blood spread all over the street.

Premium MemberLord, Lord Bring Healing- Prayer For Poetry Soup

I come before your throne of grace
I seek just a glimpse of your face
Lord, Lord I come to interceded
For the hurting ones to plead

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Jesus, show your mighty power
Bring forgiveness in this hour
These, your children, are in need
Hurtful words have made hearts bleed

Lord, Lord, bring healing

We are sinners, EVERYONE
We need cleansing from the SON
Every sin to wash away
Blot the vicious words we say

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Jesus, hear my fervent plea
Set us from our vengeance free
Lift our hearts to heaven’s sphere
Show us, Jesus, you are near

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Every tear on every face
Wipe away with heaven’s grace
Clean slates free from all the hate
Please, Lord Jesus, do not wait

Lord, Lord, bring healing

Hear this prayer from my heart
Take us back to a fresh start
Lord Jesus, I believe in You
With love make hearts beat anew

Lord, Lord, bring healing

LORD, LORD, BRING YOUR SWEET HEALING!

AMEN

Protracted Dream

PROTRACTED DREAM

Meeting is indispensable
It has long been scheduled and reserved
Everything is set , didn’t want to wait
But an unavoidable
Interceded
Another appointment I slept into
Herd of sheep gleefully jumping from the stable
A dream under the offing
To let go and materialize
Indeed, when it rains it wets
Into that slumber in the corner table
It is a candle light date
As we dance into a romantic serenade
Face to face and look at your lips and eyes…
Never again a protracted dream!

The Power of Prayers

There are those that have truly prayed for my soul,
And have interceded in my behalf in hopes I would make heaven my goal.
And through many trials and battles that I physically had to overcome,
That left me weak and drained and feeling quite numb.

These battles happened after I had surrendered my soul to the Lord,
The devil put me through a battle that was unbelievably hard.
For nearly two days I was basically bedridden and couldn’t even speak,
But prayers were answered again, this gift so wonderful and so unique.

It was a battle for my soul that these Warriors of Prayer knew just what to do,
They anointed me with oil as they spoke to the Lord saying I was His child and the devil
was through.
That was my last major battle but he still hangs around,
And his attacks now are more visible as I’m learning to stand my own ground.

Stay in the Word is the only advice I have to give,
And show the Lord in your actions that His way is the way you are wanting to live.
Pray for your fellow man no matter what people might say,
For I am living proof prayers are answered and I thank God for each new day.
