life can be funny or sad
depending on how it goes
I have had girlfriends say they would never love again
they invited me to their big wedding day
I feel that never is a very long time
why put the word never onto anything
I said for many years not to say never
never is not in my vocabulary.
TWO GIRLFRIENDS
In tangled knots, your words took hold,
A fantasy you spun, so bold.
"Two girlfriends," you claimed, a curious plea,
"So neither one," you said, "I'd have to cheat on thee."
A strange design, a twisted thought,
A fractured love, a battle fought.
You built a world on double lies,
Reflected in our tear-filled eyes.
One girl you cherished, gentle, kind,
A loving bond, you left behind.
The other, with a cruel intent,
A venom meant to circumvent.
Your fantasy, a fragile dream,
Collapsed beneath its broken theme.
For love's not meant for mean and kind,
It's not a thing you get to find
In separate hearts, a fractured whole,
But in a single, honest soul.
I've posted a new short story.
Because the length of pieces we can post here is crazy limited.

I posted a piece (in short stories) that was too long for here.

Four girls go prancing down the street
Off to school to get a cartoon education
Lets hope they’re not accosted on the way
Skirts are kind of short for the occasion
Eyes squinting not from the morning sun
It is an Asian oriental thing from birth
Which makes them sort of flirty
Anime perfection Japanese
After school the pretty girls play literature
Making tea and eating cupcakes full of giggles
Their poetry is read and knives come out
Are most effective for making people dead
One girl wears a silken scarf around her neck
Tied in a knot for swinging from the rafter afternoon
Unicorns and rainbows keep them happy laughing
Monika is the president of our literary club
We love her so elected and adored forever
I love you Monika! What else can I say?
If another word is spoken I’ll be gone
Doomed or dead or even worse...Ehehe!
Deleted from the game for something said
Doki Doki is no joke
I know I put you on a pedestal,
But I’ll always catch you when you fall.
I’ll loudly shout, so proud, “Way to go!”
I guess I really just want to let you know,
You’re such an inspiration for me when you glow.
I know I seem to always let you go,
But I’ll always return to you as a much better person.
I’ll loudly sing, so sincerely, “Oh how I love you so!”
I guess I just thought you should know,
You’re the love of my life, in a different way than usual though.
I am the fence
I let her see my holes
We discuss them at length
And hers mine.
My chair at a slight angle;
Instead of my coffee sip,
A torch lights my lips -
A flying insect in
Whose space I breathe.
It’s cool.
I wear my sweatshirt
And my jeans. My work’s
Inside. Friends need
Each other, to spill
For a spell. Her labs
Like lions alongside
A lawn chair throne.
I tell her so
And so much more.
Two hours like robins
Settle in and fly so fast.
Burnt orange underside,
Perched beaks
And precious few as these.

So many girls stay in my head
their visions won’t depart;
our kisses and caresses
and our fumblings in the dark.
I wish it were not so,
that purer life might live,
though this I’m graced to know,
Christ still will swift forgive.
Do I remain within their minds
still vivid to this day?
Or have these secret memories
long since flown away?
January was dull and frosty
February was a money grabber and costly
March had a hint of spring
Had a voice like a fog horn and couldn’t sing
April oh how could I forget she burnt me with her cigarette
May well, I rather not say
June had the charms and looks of a baboon
July broke my heart and made me cry
August Was really gorgeous
September I can’t remember?
October she drove straight at me and knocked me over
November not sure of the gender
December was cold and very old
Don’t I pick em what a year
Perhaps a leap year would be less painful.

All I have is a picture in my mind, on how you look and how it would be, if we were together, but your far far away. As I step out side my door, I see you wrote me a letter, and you promise in your letter, that you'll come home after your sailing on your ship, far far away to fight a battle. I try to fight back tears as you write in your letter that you have promised me that you'll come home, you'll come home to my heart, so we'll never be apart. Now I am dreaming of you in every letter, and I'm starting to believe that soon you'll come home, you'll come home to my heart, after fighting the battle on the ship your sailing on, so we'll have freedom so we can be together. You'll always be apart of my heart where ever you are out there fighting for everybodys freedom.
The friendship train
Knows not space or time
It exists in a bubble
Afloat on airy currents
Moments flash past
Strong as the steel
Forming life's rails
Seemingly permanent
Then exploding like dynamite
Sparks of laughter
Light the night sky and
Leave teary imprints
That plummet into the ocean
Tears become waves
Waves mingle with tears
The tinder box of joy
Leaves as smoke
Occasionally clouding the past
But never erasing
Memory's grip
The horizon’s hopefulness
Touches our cheeks
It’s yolk bursting forth
Arm in arm
We disappear into
The calm of undulating valleys
Twisted as a pretzel
Traveling at outrageous speeds
Hair streaming
Whipped not by regret
But by the smell and taste
Of something wild
Billowing through our garments
Brushing our skin with
Promises of immortality
Legs flying behind torso
Like Starfires caboose
Freedom comes unbidden
And gravity is an unknown
Sent from my iPhone
I sank into the sidewalk, it yielded no complaint,
You went into my trousers, subtle girl you ain’t
You told me you liked drama, so without a plate
I ate, calamari fried with ginger:
and asked you for a date.
Sometimes the night just catches me out,
Like a thousand worried girlfriends.
An add to two to form a paste
three in a tie as a broom
try to fit in, it's a waste
one to gel on two in the room
not on a ban, the spy has taste
one bad eye to bid for a groom
can aim, fly and get in a haste
a pet ago is now the doom
war for a bro, she is to let
her hug can dig a big outlet
to tow any to the toilet
day to day, he is her button
he's not for her, far in Bolton
how to cut him out, ask Newton
girlfriends
just frozen memories
where belong
still fish in the meadow pond
just sit casting a bare hook
5 Girlfriends
Girlfriend number one was wealthy and clean
Air filled her head as she got lost along with rain
Could not find her way out of anything
Paper bags were not her thing
The next one was a pretty blonde
Heterosexually inclined but changed her mind
Imploded on impact with all men
No one knew why… She came with no instructions
Number three was a kleptomaniac
Stole dirty dishes on the sly
That did not make them any cleaner
She was as simple as her crime
The best thing about little Miss four
She was a nuclear physicist
And liked to explore the universe
But she also liked divorce… I can say no more
Girlfriend five liked money, houses and cars
Had not a penny to her name
Told stories about the wars she won
Claimed to be heiress to a throne… someplace unknown
