Foreseen Fatal Accident

I feared for The Soon Traveling Fire,
When I saw who was going to drive:
Jack, who did thrice of men's lives deprive,
He himself lucky to be alive;

Now, with a left leg fracture does strive
And Lord God knows that's no way to thrive

Kept I trembling for the moving five;
If I were among them, bound to dive
When his Porsche wished not one to
Jack himself Electric wire live...

You enter his car, enters a beehive,
Minutes on end continue to jive:
"Fire you Thunder Ferdinand Jack
Knowledge of safest driving you lack...

Seldom Prayer

Sir God,
It's me again,
You already know what I want to say,
But allow me put it this way,
Our genesis is different,
But the destiny is the same.

We all must rest,
We'll die and go to unknown land,
A place only known to the departed,
Not even the worldly majesties,
Will escape it.

Do not give me many years,
Like those of Methuselah,
I not need to be wrinkled,
And look like a beast,
I need not to be a burden,

When my time come,
Let it be a decent journey,
At an old age dear God,
When I'll have accomplished all,
The wants and desires in mind.

At a time I'll be giving blessings,
The time I'll have nothing to lose,
Nobody will have to wail,
For I'll have put it to a halt,
My gift of life.

Dear God,
Let it not be through an ailment,
Not a fatal accident,
Not a suicide nor a genocide,
Not even a lightning strike,
Let it be a decent journey.

Tear It Apart

Go on break its heart, don't be shy, ask it why
was it said in that way and not another?
Or maybe why the hell you even said that anyway?
A poem enters a boxing ring
gets beaten up, yet in the end
the loser is a winner,
the pummeling has changed its shape.
A seagull poops on your head,
kind of funny, everyone grins.
An eighteen-wheeler jackknives,
no one is hurt, poop does not kill,
but you're a poet, some kind of genius,
so you write about slippery bird guano
on a wet road,
a truck hydroplaning,
cars bursting into flames,
a trucker dying of colon cancer
long after that fatal accident.
Misery and joy must be manipulated
then handcuffed together.
You publish the deranged thing -
your mistake,
it's just another aberration of your nervous system.
Then you wait for some wiseass
to tear it apart,
and it serves you right.

Undying Love

Tonight, at the foot of the bed,
                She is watching.
                How peaceful he is sleeping.
                Wondering if he ever thought,
                Of that crucial night.
                That changed their lives.

He took off in a speed,
                After revealing his secret.
End up in a hospital bed,
In need of a heart transplant.

                Rushing to be with him,
                       Her life end,
                With a fatal accident.
               Brain dead, they said.

              Now her heart is beating,
                      In his chest.
             Feeling lost and betrayed,
                    She came to claim.
              What is rightfully hers.
                While he is sleeping,
                 Next to his lover.

If she couldn’t have him in the living,
            While they both were alive.
Then it’s time he must die.
            They made their vowels.
             'til death do us part.

Premium Member Paulette-1

When I saw her, I could not believe it was my old classmate Paulette.
I had not seen her since college when she was delightful and filled with joy.
She began to tell me of her parents' tragic fatal accident that occurred last year. She and her husband had two children, one of which died of leukemia 6 months ago. Paulette and her husband were going through a divorce when her parents were killed. Her teenage son took up with a gang and drugs when they divorced, and his life is a mess.

Paulette was an only child which means, with so much misfortune, there is absolutely no one. My wife and I were speechless as she shared her life with us, and we were ears and shoulders. She's still relatively young and in time there could be changes, but right now, my old friend is sad. We pray God will bring seasons of joy, helping Paulette forget the past and embrace the future.

Child Labour

"Child Labour"

Jyotsna Bhabi lost her husband in fatal accident
the sky fell on her head like a thunderbolt in that incident.
there are two of her sons; aged about seven to ten
who will give them food when the society is the blind to pretend?
Jyotsna Bhabi works to wash dishes in four houses
cleans the houses to provide food to them working in garbage.
Can she fulfill everyone to feed by small earnings
no one is kind to them nor there are such blessings.
One day the merchant gave offer to give two of her son
in exchange for labour, food will be given to that bloom,
can a mother could refuse such a golden call?
when surrendering can carry lots of food in return!
.
Child labour; So what do I say has no alternative
the society has no real ideas it to thrive.

Basket of Joy

Too much sun we cry
We cry for rain in return
Heavy cloud and rain we cry
We cry for sun again
Harmattan with cold breeze
We think of sun
At birth pillars laugh
At death mourners lament
By growth we laugh at
A stand still we complain
Even as too much growth gives
Many burden
Disease is a regret and by peace
And love we exist like politics and wealth
At war and natural clash we hook doom
With ceremony we celebrate
At fatal accident we burn with
Passions of pity
Sickness is a change and repentance
Is cheap at sick bed
What then is life all about
A basket of joy and later
A basket of pins of pains
Purpose is not action
But action is from purpose

Mercy Killers

Are we not the mercy killers ourselves
To have deprived brother a soul in the
Rampage... To have deprived families
And devoid too only left a tatty memo

Are we not the mercy killers ourselves
To have claim immunity after the deed
Beast upon beast, ramp upon ramp to
Manifest in the so called harmony city

Harare bred the playgrounds of abrupt
Peverse behavior of the brother in blue
And his grey top revealing the untold
Suffering, born victim of circumstances

Harare where brothers in blues and grey
Open fire to citizens and the press turns
Be inarticulate and off relevance...Damn
We are muted yet we long to burst cries

Arent we mercy killers? If we screen the
Scenary of the drawned brother in Seke
Nyatsime river caused terror, Flooded ?
Ironic is not it ? Mercy killers, mongers

Arent we mercy killers? If we screen the
Scenary of the fatal accident along Seke
And fail to pay grief to the fallen brother
In the same Seke road our cameras rom.

Tropicana Tragedy

It's not enough from terrorist attacks,
to take such precious lives.
Builders of Tropicana contracts,
not caring who survives.
A drastic fatal accident,
that took our families.
That day in October came and went,
we discovered contract fees.
Is there no end of deceiving,
who can we turn to.
How do we know when loved ones are leaving,
God what should we do.
Let us put a stop to such actions,
help to keep each other safe.
Take not our lives precious possessions,
a life that God gave.
Now it is time to say goodbye,
our loved ones were received.
Sent to angels in the sky,
from this Tropicana Tragedy.

Its Great To Be Alive

The car rolls three times
And bounces off a tree
That's one I've survived
It's great to be alive !.

A few cuts and bruises
Remind me of my breath
That's one I've survived
It's great to be alive !.

Hindsight brings clear vision
And makes the forest clear
That's one I've survived
It's great to be alive !.

Those rain clouds look Divine
It's great to live in time
That's one I've survived
It's great to be alive !.

Another chance of life
Another glance at time
Another chance to love
It's great to be alive !.

Seeing life as precious
And how that love is life
Another chance to love
It's great to be alive !.

The life-joy of forgiveness
And letting go of luggage
Another chance to thrive
It's great to be alive !.

A supernatural cradling
I know that God is mine
Another chance for Love
It's great to be alive !.

A resurrected life....after a near fatal accident. Even rain clouds (problems) look great !.

Beware

my poem based on true events, out of my book

Beware
Brit gal went on hols to Thailand, wanted a good time. What she got was hell. Riding a moped down a road, something went so wrong. She hit a minibus while going fast, whose fault was it? Was she on the right side of the road? Catapulted thirty yards in the road, thud!

Mushy head time. A Brit cop working with his Thai colleagues saw her. Her head smashed in, brains spread onto the road. Still alive and very conscious she asks for her parents, crying her last tears. Then she’s gone.

If you go to Thailand remember the poor Brit gal and her fatal accident. Don’t drink or do drugs and ride a bike or moped and wear a helmet.

Beware!

Lightning In a Bottle

LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE

(Dedicated to legends who left a legacy in lives cut short)

Diana- not merely Princess of Whales
but grace, generosity and love so
purely personified
in gentle soul you kept your pain
in harsh surrounds of those
wholly undeserving
Your legacy lives on…

James Dean- what misfortune caused
fatal accident extinguishing flair at
twenty-four
the silver screen capturing a face
strikingly memorable
for evermore
Your legacy lives on……

Marilyn- transcended beauty demure
began just Norma Jean you shot to
swift fame
for men required a mannequin
your voice seductively enticed
then silent
Your legacy lives on…..

Kurt Cobain-- my idol you remain
Courageously you tried to hold
your flame
your voice cried out poetic and
lyrical pain
suicide’s tragic choice ending
to explain Your legacy lives on….

Mometus

when everything has stopped working
no light, its dark but we can still see through
none is happy but note that no one is crying.
Every reality is unfolding...friends lock you out
of the comfort zone!
doubting that maybe the so called enemies are
the ones to open the doors for better times

i was stuck, had no one to turn to
in my room alone.
cannot believe it its been two decades now
and yet am still doubting my own reflection
Boy you have grown so tall...and so curious
what happened to that ....blurry vision!?

sometime back i was damaged
had a fatal accident, got stitched up
i can still see the scar below the eyes
wow, who ever thought you could turn out
this way..!?
despite all that you can still stand up and walk again

Premium Member Rear View Mirror

I check my rear view mirror,
Is it safe to change my lane,
Side mirrors checked but its not clear,
Everything’s fogged by pouring rain.

I make my move and extreme pain,
Airbags explode streams of light,
Trails of yellow fire in my brain,
Sirens reel in the dark night.
