Reckless Jack and fair Jill, youthful hearts aroused,
did scale that hill, less for water, than illicit thrills.

Atop that perilous height, they began a lover’s fight.
Stolen moments, once sweetly solaced, can prove brief.

Alas, the twisted tryst, turned awkward tumble swift,
with clothes askew and most immodest bruises blue.

Knighthood Tale

Knighthood tale
While we look back at the past 
Great memories keep rushing back 
As today is the joy of many tomorrow
Many yesterdays have no hiding places 

Though i live to love you forever 
Love walks away from the reminiscence 
As a good name is coated in gold 
Streams of joy and happiness

I Midas

King Midas' greed for riches was such
That everything turned to gold in his clutch,
As did his daughter one day
When she got in the way.
Much better for her had they not kept in touch.

II Arthur

The Camelot tale is a wonderful fable,
And King Arthur and knights were all equally able,
But had trouble deciding
Just who was presiding

The Wish

“You can have any wish,” the genie said.
“Any ONE wish?” the girl asked, a little disappointedly.
“One wish,” the genie answered, shrugging.

“Oh.. then” she said, thinking it over. “I wish for.. a banana,” she said whimsically.
“A banana?” The genie asked, hesitantly.
“Yes, the girl said, nodding her head.

A banana appeared on the table.

“As a banana pudding, please

Skywriting

On a cool spring morning, by a clear mountain stream, an enchantress sat skywriting.

Her arms danced at awkward, inhuman angles and as they did, her bracelets jangled a melody which the birds took up in chorus.

The soundtrack was magic. Insects buzzed in beat, animals froze mid-forage, and the wind died, lest moving clouds corrupt her

Turning the Tables

It’s harder to bleed when blood is gone
What’s greed with the line money’s on/
Will it run up on someone’s lawn/
Or try and take from your spawn/
Then act like nothing was wrong/
The track they’re taking is long/
When that feeling is an old song/
As you’re turning the tables around/
Just gas and keep burning fables down/
Outlast and be

Once

Once we were lovers,
            
             now separate tables.

Once we were reality,

                now we are fables.

Farmer

I own a rooster
live on a farm
the animals vote
I am simply caretaker

Under my farm
there is a huge bunker
a thousand men in uniform
systems, equipment and missiles

I am simply caretaker

This Is No Fable

I was relaxing in my sunroom, one very peaceful afternoon,
Enjoying the fables of Aesop, and all the flowers abloom.

The view from the many windows, was gold sunshiny delight,
With blossoms and rich greenery, and many birds in flight.

Every now and then I chuckled, at comical characters I met,
And the morals that they learned, and would not

All Alone and Flower Fables

pouring rooibos tea for no one
  but me.
    the high whistle would not
      be a sound
        if it was all alone.

still, i set out three florid cups —
to gratify Lily-Bell and Thistledown.*

    the fairies love the

Tales Around a Campfire

Grateful for the old one’s tales,
Admiration and love in their lore.
Gleaned delicately in orange glow.
Natural extension of campfire magic.
Love crackling through hot popping embers.

Fables

Degenerates & subjugates

Nothing really deteriorates

Living life in magenta & chartreuse

Trying to cover over the bruises

Inflicted by white lies

Negating the ending

For the sake of feeding

The all encompassing

Heartfelt alibis

Recounting storybook fables

Resounding through the Taj Mahal

Told underneath the kitchen table

Heard through the majestic macaw

Throwing stones at the glass ceiling

We call self help, we call healing

Writing secrets in the

Three Fables Revised With Modern Metaphorical Spin

for now please imagine generic
     fairy tale characters
     analogous if you will
to possessing physical, livingsocial,
     and three dimensional
     corporeal form (at least until
the end of this poem), and compared
     to computer generated imagery

  

Fables, Legends, and Myths

The elders gather the children together in a tent,
      to pass down the teachings of the Ojibwe culture;
through fables, legends, myths, songs and dance,
                to the sound of a beating drum we listen.
Of moral stepping

Fables

What are our millennium fables?
Women keep giving each other labels,
No harmony for our ecology,
An alliance should be our synergy,
No accountability for the economy,
No wise leaders to steer us to unity,
Century's getting older, folks!
Any teamwork to cast off these yokes?
Symbiosis should aim at harmony,
Let's pray for millennium synergy!
