Externals Poems

Premium MemberTruth

The spirit or the flesh?

They are really one-in-the-same,
internals and externals of creation --

the face read-out of our
inner clockworks --

                         to review
man, his myriad of entangled
relationships, is to begin to understand
The Politics of Satan vs God

We can fool the Soulless press, often
co conspirators in illusion -- Truth
more likened to the quizzical eyes
of children~ amazed, confounded,

and then, lost....

Premium MemberJolted By Twilight

Once again the silvery moon has pilfered the golden sun
Total eclipse is upon me, time has elapsed suspending orange
Twilight’s begun on the orb’s descending softer glow

Veiled in twilight…
Placid and limitless, I’ve glimpsed into the frontier in tranquil rapture
Moon aligns sans sun’s bright face

Jolted by twilight…
I coast along a sea of stars juddered wildly
Waves spanning the sky avec abandon
Embraced by star-strewn externals
I leave behind a familiar harbor
Anchored are my temporal remnants down in the terrestrial realm
My spirit soaring, a mirthful lodger I be,
swimming in twilight’s radiance
Its celestial smile shall be the death of me...

embracing star-strewn
crowned external forevers~
we soar the tides dance

Premium MemberThe Walk of Sacrifice

I journey in thoughts in breathless strolls
every turn straightened, and bumps made smooth
my life whose trust in God, faith controls
pass sparked eyes, climbed smiles, the wealth of souls
perks in life that gift my heart and soothe

Be the stills of the night that shades day
the noontime of Spring and Summer Eve
and Autumn colors having their weigh
to impress snowflakes, window display
roam throughout my blest years I achieve

At work, everything is play by play
but I shake and bake, easy as pie
friends for lunch at a sidewalk cafe
at the church, had communion and pray
then trekked home, smiling that satisfy

The internal spirit externals
the facts of my life great from the start
each passing day juices my kernels
joy jogged entries, my daily journals
when my life part, find me in your heart.

In life's unfolding, through this transient phase,
I witness kin and friends succumb to age's haze.
The pain and agony of their loss, echo in our hearts,
Time may heal, but leaves indelible, mental charts.
Existence's truth, beyond forms that fade,
Resides eternal, where souls find peace displayed.

Thoughts and beliefs, like shadows, fleet on meadows,
Inconstant companions in life's fleeting shows.
Of cosmic flows, our understanding's small,
Yet an inner child within, resiliently stands tall.

Through ebb and flow, in life's uncertain play,
The inner child's laughter persists, a guiding ray.
Unbound by temporal, nor transient glow,
In the eternal realm, its gifts continue to bestow.

Within the stillness, where silence gently hums,
A core untouched by the world's beating drums.
Not in externals, but in the soul's own clay,
The essence of our being finds its sway.

Short Night of the Dark Christmas

"Short Night of the Dark Christmas"

short night of the dark Christmas
means home alone, for some,
but heck get real,

no one
is truly alone, never,
even when reality conspires

to suggest
otherwise,
close your eyes

open your mind

one sits with the other
invisible
permanent, immovable

the mind mulled again
the externals fixated
titter on

your mind is closed
to their superfluous noise
yet in touch, aware

of higher things

not alone,
no never
alone

inside
one has to always,
give -

happy birthday
dark Christmas
shining star,

removed.
aware
of higher things

“One day, you are going to hug your last hug,
kiss your last kiss and hear someone’s voice
for the last time.

But you never know when the last time will be,
so live every day as if it were the last time
you will be with the person you love.”

“This Christmas,
we don’t need more stuff.
We need more LOVE
towards one another.”

Premium MemberQuietness

There is a place of peacefulness and gentle waves.
I speak not of a hidden tunnel in a lovely cave.

I speak not of heaven, that final place of rest.
It mostly is a state of being when we de-stress.

It may or may not be a physical place,
So evasive and detached from the human race.

But it's a place where we let go and allow tranquility to flow;
Where we pause and learn to poise and start to grow;

Where we cease to be driven and tossed to places of woe.
We light up on the inside, and our externals begin to glow.

It's storming all around, but like Christ, we are quietly sleeping.
We have found our stream of QUIETNESS and assist those yet weeping.

Premium MemberDont Quit Your Day Dream

Eureka of Archimedes was part of his daydream,
Thomas Edison nurtured his dream in bright light like gleam;
Could sleep ever overwhelm Alexander Graham Bell,
Till he heard the noise from the other and fell in a spell...?

George Washington Carver, who found in peanuts and soybeans,
Utilizations, like treasures, hidden abundant gleans;
Eli Whitney's constant daydreams gave birth to cotton gin,
That separated seeds, hulls and wastes; hearts of all did win...!

Johannes Gutenberg’s innovative printing machine,
Or John Logie Baird's mechanical television sheen;
Benjamin Franklin's lightning rod and the iron furnace,
Or Henry Ford's ventures into automobile sternness...

No invention has found its sphere devoid of day-dreaming,
This should be coalescence of action-vision creaming;
Together with concentration-shift toward internals,
Should bring forth spiritually resonant externals...!

Seasons of Life

in spring, we take birth
mindfully enjoying in mirth
summer doth create
heat of passion we procreate

then comes autumn bright
shedding everything, we feel light
in the winter of life
barren, we shiver in strife

there's beauty in each season
everything created with reason

we go through seasons
without thinking of reasons
why we are here on earth?
why of miseries there's no dearth?

purpose of life we never unearth!

we flow along with breeze
in winter we freeze
attached to externals, life is spent
in barren winter, we lament

in summer egoistic sun shines bright
in winter snow humbles its might
in spring green trees sing their glory
in autumn barren is their story

all we have is gifted to us
it will one day leave us
every day new season brings
tells us transient are things

on us our happiness depend
every moment intelligently spend
doth bestow a joyous end
without any bend

seasons ever in transition
enjoying each should be our mission
purpose of dynamic creation
our exhilarating recreation

Semblance

They said I'm a chip off the old block, but I'd never budge an inch
For it is of nature to bear the semblance of the one from whom you proceed
For it is blood to blood, nothing escaping
 For that's nature's will
All we can do is to chop off the externals that does not augur well with the times we are
And that's if that semblance is an Ogre to modernity

Let It Be

There's a perturbation beneath the surface
An impulsive dilemma of wants and needs
It's a cognitive battle
Should I refrain, or should I feed?

The desires are instinctive
The hardwired cravings are insatiable inside
Change is like trying to outrun our own shadow
Or like separating the self, from the I

It's not life that's bothering us
It an internal narrative that consumes and controls
We must learn to observe the dialogue
It provides personal awareness, it makes us whole

When we learn to let go of the externals
We gain control of our life
We learn to live in the present moment
We take past wrongs, and make them right

In the end - life is what we make it
Perception creates our unique reality
We’re all part of something bigger
Take a breath - now let it be

A New Era..

A sudden Recognition

Experiencing of Permanence

Seems occurring

In these days of chaos

Anxiety and pain..

The externals we carried

Conditioning our lives are

Absent or do not satisfy..

Some have questioned

Others have surrendered

Heralding a new Peace..

Recognizing

A New Era...

Dissonance

Uncomfortable with our dialogue
Discombobulated by what you see
It appears the narrative of your childhood
Is challenged by a different philosophy

I speak of eudaimonia
Euthymia - energetic tranquility
To live life in the moment
To love your fate - life will be what it will be

I believe we must develop courage
Take ownership for all our deeds
Let go of all externals
Our actions will show what we believe

Perhaps Hell is what we create?
When our actions contradict the things we say
Our emotions become irreconcilable
We scapegoat our issues, and pray

I believe liberation occurs by acknowledging
God's beauty exist in the grandness of the unknown
Our salvation lies in acceptance
Peace occurs - when we let our certitudes go

The truth lies in the uncomfortable
It's just beyond the horizon of what we see
Truth is not having all the answers
The Truth - we’re all part of humanity

So if there's discomfort in the dialogue
If you're thrown off by what you believe
That means we’re making progress
This world is bigger than you and
