You can't divorce a good joke
Bluntly, someone said they could never imagine my being married. This stung. I laughed. I am more a comic than a romantic. Pain is preferably felt without witness; better yet, with punchlines. Those precious people who cry amongst us are more genuine, pitiable, deserving of yet more labors of love. We mustn't blame ourselves for this; we are pathetic souls, and I am fine with it. After all, my spouse is already my sense of humor....

The Memory
The memory of us makes me smile The memory of us four The memory of us three The memory of us two And yes, I smile. I smile because when it was four He was here, the father I cherished He kept me safe from the sibling When he couldn’t, I cried And yes, he kept me safe. I smile because when it was...

Relaxing
A gentle wave calms thy heart, Windchimes swirling in the gentle breeze. Restore thou art, The road ahead whispers a gentle breeze. Calming sadness, strength begins. Power of joy and hope Happiness wins. I am finding the power to cope. Beating battles of unkind, Finding friends along the way, Learning how to unwind, Looking forward to a brand new day....

A Little Light To Cope With Life
The light of Day and the darkness of night are like Metaphors For the light in our lives, but also the darkness where upset occurs Glimpses of light are like hope through life's struggle Just like that little light at the end of the dark tunnel When pain is dragging you down into the darkness...

Love Myself
Maybe that your phone got drained Or you have something else unexplained So you are calling after three days Asking forgiveness for all delays I know you just call me when you're hurt But I was the fool who always assert. You like talking about yourself Turning to all my problems deaf. I have realised that for you I wasn't even your friend. I was...

Love Story
She's past the point in her healing process where her heart doesn't feel quite as tattered and raw. She's used to the fact that her daily routine has changed, and has accepted that when her phone chirps, it no longer signals that it's him. The times of the day that used to be spent with him have...

Can We Cope
A drop of rain upon my face A tear from God's own eye? He questions things about His world The things that make Him cry What happened to "In God We Trust"? Where is our sense of grace? What will He have to say to us When we come face to face? He doesn't ask for much from us Just live as His word...

Can'T Cope No More
Can't take no more I just can't cope anymore, The pain is debilitating, The addiction consuming, Both exhausting. The dark corners of my mind are closing in, there all I can see clearly, The demonic whispers fill my ears loudly, I feel the reaper staring at me, his watchful glare burning, I wonder what he foresees, He watches waiting for me from his lair, He...

Memories Without Regrets
Buried and lowered into the ground Mourners grieving not making a sound The priest conducts a beautiful service Bells ringing feeling slightly nervous Weather is changing with a slight overcast Life is so unfair loosing family so fast Struggling to find ways to cope and carry on Don’t drift apart before they have gone Make fabulous memories or you will be left...
