There’s a quietness in the shadows.
A lonely place where sadness grows.
A place in time where my mind goes.
Thoughts and memories are my foes.
But I have learned to not resist,
for when I do, they just persist.
I used to fight; I’d clinch my fist.
Shadow boxing, I always missed.
Meditating on dark and light,
it came to me I shouldn’t fight.
Brightest light or dark as the night,
their contrast gives us better sight.
The reason for simplicity,
to deal with life’s complexity.

Passion lies not in fear towards cheer,
To conquer unknown gestures behind
Some rare laughter, but so insincere..
Those words, tongues twist around; disappear
Until tears grow no link to being blind.
Fear of long awaited hope shapes care,
Set to beat tricks, lust stages alright
With pure intentions to outsmart stare...
That could lay hold on twists playing fair,
Till laughter couldn't shine bright; its light
And clinch onto tears that caress pain;
Driven by proposed fear's turnaround.
Will choosy purpose does actuate gain?
To cover up a seeming less stain
Not enough to stop laughs, tears expound.
Laughs powered by prospects of lost fool,
Timing brainy approaches cum risk
Of growing fearless life goals on pool,
Dim laughs could rarely survive by rule-
Sets standard fitness, fear barely whisk.

“With patience and perseverance
We can win the hardiest race.”- By author
**************************************************************
Patience and Perseverance
On the journey of life when we embark
Let patience allied with perseverance
Be the lighthouse, our path to lit with spark
And permeate our spirit with endurance;
When wilful whirling winds waft down our soul
Let us not yield to dark clouds of despair
But forge ahead steadfast towards our goal
Without a single shaggy seam of scare;
Let`s not try the hilltop at once to clinch
As we may tumble down a dizzy slope
But, move forward step by step, inch by inch
With patience and perseverance to cope;
With patience we earn the Lord`s divine grace,
With perseverance we win the tough race.

Machine gun heart riddled with shades of grey.
A mind once sharpened by your own forked tongue.
Lovers' lips part with rumbles of a cannon.
Dew licked satin sheets - the highway to carnal desire.
Silhouettes of freshly washed skin dance in the night.
Passion rising like the souls of the departed.
Where do you sleep after your thirst is quenched?
Where do you go when your high knows no bounds?
Unfiltered needs not being met;
A fire put out before the gasoline burns off.
Passionate nights followed by cool seduction.
A waterfall of your essence coating my tongue.
Decisions made in a moment of yearning.
Your lack of understanding - my constant battle.
Why can't you listen instead of just hear?
I will free my enslaved exuberance,
since you can't be bothered.
Blow out the candle and climb into bed.
One of these days you'll get what you want.
And one of these days I'll learn that I won't.

Oh mighty dingo I see you still crawl.
Long ago broken hearted and yet you still bawl.
Tears down both cheeks, is it your poor little peetie?
My heart aches for you, my dear little sweetie.
Still gritting your teeth while stuck in a clinch.
If your throne’s getting cold, then you might as well pinch.
You slither around with you childish boring prattle.
You’re still stuck in our creek, without either paddle.

Kenya changes forever
Not in transition but out of pressure
Built and passed on through the bloodline
Until it sufficed to stiffen a generation’s spine
The gloaters are deflated of their dares
And will never again conceal the affairs
For they tried on us the bait and hook
But now all shall be an open book
But we must endeavor to be civil
Keep our tongues and hands from evil
No rage warrants taunting your elder
No reason rhymes with ousting order
Pay your honor to whom it is due
And in days to come it will be paid you
Strive to sidestep curse and to clinch blessing
In light of all offense most hard pressing
The passage of time will usher you out of youth
Bear with you always righteousness and truth
Guard your hearts with all diligence
Choose your demeanor without negligence
Be honest and clear cut
And let not the land revert to the rut
Place not aside your God in your fights
For it is He who crowns with privilege your rights

Brought into the space
Where tired had a place
She viewed the wooden bench
Before she could ponder
Wherever the mind would wonder
Movement halted her within the clinch
...and she beheld
Blood and water poured
Upon the wooden vessel
Where splinters pierced flesh
The weight of liquid gold
Too heavy for matter
Crushed and was no more
...response processing
It was a yellow bench
But seemed to be dull with age
It looked like a box
With treasures...stuff...she couldn't gauge
"Jesus what was that
It feels like I sat there many times
Trying to work out
Things I couldn't....mind
...box of behaviors....that was my box of behaviors
.........wasted by our broken heart....no longer needed
...................we have found JOY........."
His mercy is new every morning
Filled with life in the IS
Response is authentic
Without the familiar fizz.........

Once, I was there to check a tall Zaki
And it became reason to meet khaki,
Very clean but most offices tacky:
A cop could turn one into a lackey!
I know The Police is for the Nation
But I shan’t again a Police Station;
A world plainly paramilitary,
Safer, not better than Solitary,
In every station, obvious gyration;
Canteens that could serve one large ration,
The environment is quite sanitary
But should not clinch The Best Commentary…
Where one runs into AK47,
There holders more than Forty Seven:
Men who could catch rogues but their eyes roguish;
A lot of money make but still languish…
No good guarantee of non-harassment,
A chesty cough attracts embarrassment:
A fat envelope and one reports a case;
A much fatter one to clean and face!

If quite clean is this portrayal
For the Rouble quit betrayal...
We don't higher fly with trouble:
We remain The Trapped in a rubble
You can't be seeker of trouble
And of it not clinch a double?
Currency to hurt not Rouble
How long can you with joy bubble?
Now a mansion soon great Rubble
If you dare betray The Rouble
For life body heat might double,
For disguise more of your stubble;
Things shall still be much unstable,
Russia might not near her cable.
If damned clear is this portrayal
For the Rouble spare betrayal.

A hill to climb, a path to follow
Upward, toward a sky so hollow
With small pumps, my admiration doth grow
As I rap my global flow.
No trudging through its mud and dirt
No burning lungs, no aching hurt
But hark, a spirit of joy and calm
As I turn my back and clinch my palm.
A rough and rocky path for today
With a sugary foothold, no artificial sway
Glory, Glory, until I stand
On mountain high, my own diabolical land.
And so I stay, to catch my air,
And grasp out at my worldly fair
So small and far away this lair
But in this light, two minds will pair.

When you are in a confused state
Born thoughts will not be great
For this you must postpone action
For the dying of possible friction
When calmly you try to deliberate
Good and bad, you can segregate
While holding a negative emotion
Pessimistic will be one's notion
At the time of a chaotic situation
Surely there will come no elation
Just do something else carefully
Forgetting this whole chaos fully
Analyze not the pros and cons
Try to establish not your stance
Allow the matter to take its course
Keep tranquility using mighty force
As a result of this postponement
You may soon face advancement
A solution will strongly emerge
As you suppressed your urge
Your reputation will surely soar
Your character, all will adore
Take time and decide very wisely
You can clinch success nicely
If decisions are like this taken
Heart can never at all be broken
This type of sagacious treatment
Will lead to a peaceful settlement
Just try this dear at your own pace
No doubt, joy and mirth, you will face.

Diamond Head Classic Christmas Day Championship
It took thirteen years to feel that glory,
like a cat on display under a hat.
Living a Dr. Seuss allegory,
feeling thrilled to be on the welcome mat.
In the hoop those fleeting seconds, that's all
it took thirteen years to feel that glory.
Cheers, JoVon McClanahan, for the end-all,
of shocked rival faces told the story.
SMU's defeat was self-explanatory,
their 57 to our 58.
It took thirteen years to feel that glory,
as jubilation made none hesitate.
Diamond Head Classic Hawaiian Airlines,
Rainbow Warriors clinch category.
Since its inception, a group of men shines,
it took thirteen years to feel that glory.

9.00 am he was at kine's shrine,
9.00 pm luck began to shine,
10.00 pm everything just fine;
Over nothing again to pine...
"Of all gods The Handsomest: kine!
Gone he had to its shrine with wine
To change life that tasted like brine,
Soon begin to with icons dine,
And clinch Mr President's line!
Everyday to be there at Nine
And reproduce an agreed sign;
And say:"Hottest Hell is mine;
On the last day shen't fail to whine
My heart,liver and kidneys thine"

If Black is beauty
We should have the fury
Ready to bless the scary
And chase away the treason treasury
To stand all a one unity
If Africa is great
That all true records she ever chest
Are ours; should it be colligate?
A snatch cum valid blood attest
Or be the genuine far away debate
If Man is a true clan
Will he submit to condone
And stand in place for his fan
To watch destruction under his pan
While taking refuge off plan
If Woman is a weak vessel
Should she be overlooked actionable
Clinch to addle
While we claim no boss; continue to saddle
For all the pleasure pleasing nestle
If nothing is to be counted upon
Men will make no peace of anyone
And find only hell a daemon
But somethings are to count on
Yet killings are all of fun
If the aftermath results war
Nigeria becomes what we saw
Eating up the law
Burning in insurgency and hatred raw
Have we more to abhor?

Shady characters all around,
how did I end up in this God forsaken town?
Madripoor lowtown is rampant with crime,
I clinch on to my wallet all of the time.
Tonight there is a really full moon,
should I try my luck in the Brass Monkey Saloon?
With a smile on my face I chat with their folks,
they know I'm an outsider, will I get choked?
I take my beer and I walk down to Wharfside,
what am I crazy, do I want to die?
I should of gone to hightown where they have gilded doors,
instead I wander aimlessly, lost in lowtown Madripoor.
