Doming o'er his stature
A sparkling splash twinkles
Captured in a moment
The Squirrel frozen still.
   Free and home
   Roams in green.
   Guard is thrown
   Groan from hose
   Splashes shown.

how it came about

How it came about

It is impossible to imagine an endless Room
and no planets, and that one of them had
the possibility of life, planet Earth
A friendly planet not given to extremity, it
also had a temperate climate, sometimes it
could have been millions of years later, but
Since time didn't exist, that is academic
Green plants grew in soft soil,

And the Shrines Came Crumbling

Desert shrines were canonical
before the Deluge.
The bamboo and fronds of their mouths
waved well in the sun,
and the strength of their arms shunned
the devilish romances of swift gales.
Oh, the heaths of the shrines
warmed the heart of the ancient world,
who brought the Rainbow as a gift! ...

And the shrines were holy
and kept the peace;
befriended the skies; flirted
with

The day i came and went

For a while, I have been gone,
Not so much for I left my poetry in my stead,
So they read, so they remember...
Yet here I am, alive yet dead.

They look at me with eyes,
Eyes that made mine cry,
No hugs, no hellos, or a faint gladness--
For I am here, alive yet dead.

The house I lived in, now

Premium MemberIf Mother Earth Came Forth Today

If Mother Earth came forth today
she'd throw her hand up, and would say.
"Oh my dear world what have you done?
Look closely at what you've become."

Humanity with no regard
to live in peace can't be too hard!
Destruction, pillage, selfish greed,
all comes from want, and not from need.

You strip the trees, the soil is bare
You mine my lands

Premium Memberbabysitters never came back

babysitters never came back a second time
it’s not our fault we lied, we were not bad
one of them got stuck in turpentine
but the worst sitter of all was our dad

they were no trouble at all he told our mother
when she woke him from his deep sleep
this was before we had a little brother
three of us

Premium MemberBig Idea

Do we act a bit like those who have feigned amnesia
Who’s a stranger to their self, in a wider sense
Who have got subliminal mental anesthesia
Living in a fragile shell of the self defense?
If it’s true, all I’ve relinquished better be not known
Though sometimes it does occur without any cause
Makes me wonder why the path should

WHEN YOU CAME LOOKING

songer.co/song/zhrrlz76f4svedppeqpsvle1

[Verse 1]
You came by when the world got too loud,
Eyes like rain, voice full of doubt.
I didn’t ask — I just stayed,
Held your silence like it had something to say.
But I was always the place you’d land,
Not the one you’d ever understand.

[Chorus]
And love… real love doesn’t hide,
Doesn’t knock just when it’s cold outside.
I didn’t know

Along came a hoopoe once again

Everyone loves him. A nice amicable guy, as he is no relative, he is no refrain. He starts within a rhythm when often a melody is surreal and soars along the flight of the song, up high, high above, where God knows everything about eternal time, beyond the worldly cacophony and hustle and bustle.

Premium MemberIf A Stranger Came Among Us

I wonder what he’d say to me as we strolled along the way.
I think a truth he’d share with me, and here’s what he might say.
“It’s not a message you’ll understand, at least not right away.”
“It will always be here with you, although I cannot stay.”

“My truth I leave with you,

I came anyway

I heard you were gone
from someone who didn’t know
what you once meant to me.

They said it flat,
like it was weather.
“He passed last week.”
And suddenly,
the air changed.

I didn’t ask for details.
I just drove.
Quiet.
Alone.
Like we always said we never would be.

At the service,
they spoke of your laugh.
Your stubbornness.
The way you always showed up for people.
And I smiled,
because

Premium MemberIf I came back as a creature

If I came back as a creature, I hope it might be a monarch butterfly.
Or a lima bean colored luna moth or a female deer or a green elf.
I do not want to come back as a baby goat.

What about a penguin? Would you like to be a penguin?
Maybe an empire penguin or a striped

Premium MemberA Waterfall Came into Being

A small rock detached itself from a distant planet,
And through a NEBULA of pure darkness
Burned its way across the blackness of outer space
Rushed its way to far off Earth by passing its LUNAR orbit.
It left behind MYRIAD sparks all glistening, until
It hit a river on Earth and furrowed a subsidiary way
Till it reached a cliff

Premium MemberIt Came to Come

It came to come;
with no trumpet call,
no fanfare flair,
no grand parade,
just dust, after all.

It came to be;
without a plan,
without a dream,
of what becoming
really means.

It came to pass;
a lingering lilt of longing,
played with a chorus,
of echoes coming
from distant thrills.

It came to ask;
why no answers given,
to questions asked,
about why your dreaming
has not moved on

Premium Membermy wild west came in on a tv set

Marshall Dillon in Gunsmoke
Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates in Rawhide
Paladin Have Gun will Travel
John Wayne in bunches of westerns
the pattern was easy....
The cowboys always win
Hero wears a light hat
Villain is stuck with black hat
Indians never win
TV in the 60’s gave me new terms
Dance hall girl, sage brush, wagon train
I reminisce about the wild west I
