From Whence We Came
Some sort of Dread Father
Must have made us
For the way we all seem
Born from chaos
Just as destruction
Predates creation
And stainless steel
Is predated by rust
Yes, mold grows on flesh
But flesh grows on bone
And is mold not
A decay of its own?
The intersection
Of both life and death
A life born from the dead
That it feeds on
Were we not spawned
From the end of the rest?
From the greatest collapse's
Dying breath
From dying stars
And stardust never born
Mourn the making
Of all us made to mourn
