all I desired
made me an oval …
teardrop with legs
wet and heavy
makes life unsteady …
teardrops wobble
sibling nor friend
has an ear to lend …
tears want to talk
(A lone voice whispers)
I can still remember
The sad day she said
She didn’t love me anymore
As she threw away my wedding ring in the pond and walked
Right outa our door
That was ten years ago or more
At Christmas
In 2000 and four
I still see her on the streets
But no matter how fast my heart beats
I can still see and feel that lonely dark place
Where broken souls fly
When their hearts are truly broken
And inside
They always quietly cry
She’s asked me many times to take her back
She’ll love me more this time
This time it will be different
But all I see when I look her over
Is Jack
Running his hands through her hair and kissing
Her soft red lips
I maybe broken
Cut deep with a sharp blade forever
But will I go back to her
Never
I’ll just keep walking the path
The brokenhearted take
And maybe I’ll find someone truly special this year
To love all of me and help
To take away this god awful ache

Foundation of the piece.
Christmas is not all joyful salutations for everyone.
Gave you my heart and hoped you could save it, Always giving bits and pieces of myself to someone who doesn't care, and it ain't fair.
Always expecting the most
From someone who isn't there.
But that's life, and I know
It takes more than once to get it right.
At the moment, it feels like I'm losing this fight.
Empty promises are all I ever got from you,
Thinking of what I could do to get that love back from you.
But let's face it, I should've known from the beginning you faked it.
I wish you never would've looked my way s**t, got me out here feeling basic.
But it was really you that ain't s**t. So I'm giving a rose to the brokenhearted Because my dearly beloved has departed.
To all those who know my pain,
I hope it never comes again,
'Cause we're better off in the end.
Your heart is not meant to be broken,
But opened for the love you deserve, and they'll show it.
Never should you have to question that love,
Because you'll know it.
And I pray you hold onto it,
And don't walk out before they prove it.
"We were
strange in love,
her and I.
Too wild to last,
too rare to die."
- Atticus

She left me brokenhearted
When we parted
She loves no more
She left me lone and crying
Heart is dying
I feel so sore
She left my soul in pieces
Now time ceases
I barely live
She left me sad and broken
Words unspoken
Won't she forgive?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He left me brokenhearted
He departed
Can't live with me
He left me in deep anguish
Now I languish
We couldn't agree
He left me shattered and hurt
I didn't assert
My love for him
He left me bare, my soul cries
Tearful my eyes
As chances dim
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We left each other too soon
Our passions croon
It's not too late
We give it another chance
Now our hearts dance
True love's our fate

My heart was stolen by your bright, clear eyes
Sleek fur, silky smooth, soft under my hand
when you were killed I was so traumatized
Had you only obeyed my last command?
Was a perfect day in garden enjoyed
Watering the lawn you scampered around
High summer sun a memory so spoiled
By end of the day you were underground.
Ocean was calling a trip to the beach
Summer waves rippled in delightful way
Fevered excitement then I lost all speech
My order ignored on that fatal day.
If only dear Lottie you had obeyed
These painful memories never assuaged.

i have no brain
when it comes to you
i simply go crazy,
and it carries me through
the sun, the moon, and the stars
are just not as bright without you
not a day goes by that i do not think about you
now my brain is dead confetti
mixed with bloody vomit along with some ten year old parmesan spaghetti
i have not showered since
i have not been as ambitious, as focused, or as intense
i am impervious to all pain
when it comes to you
i simply choose to be lazy,
and i will remain so until whoever says that i'm due
the park is abandoned
my heart is abandoned
our fresh start is abandoned
i take an honest picture of myself
i never treated you the best
i never treated myself the best
everyday i failed the test
i admit that i do not deserve her
she found herself a man and left this uneducated boy behind
i am proud of her and i congratulate her for she is in a better place
i made her life hell by being to into myself and not supporting her at all
i made her life hell by my denial of my narcissism and my lack of attentiveness to her
when i see her so full of happiness and so full of love, i feel nothing but proud and nothing but happy for her
i also feel personal growth because and am learning to learn and evolving to evolve
one day i will get it right
one day i will win the fight
one day my rehabilitated heart will correctly take flight
until then, happy valentines day to my broken heart
this one would have been our tenth year together
i guess i will celebrate with the air of the memories
for like mister in that purple movie, that is all i have to lean on now
gray hair tear fill eyes
no reason for existence
wilted petals fall
the hussle of leaves and wispers of my tears
the chirp of birds are prayers to stop the fears
as the moon peep to see my teary eye
it will smile to let me stop to cry
But how could the cold
can pamper my feelings?
when i feel the savage hurt
that keeps my soul burning!
I am dying in pain
I am buried with grief
I am pearced with heartaches
I am thrown to abyss
so cold like in limbo
all i see is suffering.
I know I cannot elevate
in pain
and its telling that I am not gonna be happy, never again.
I took my Cobalt,
And mixed with Ultramarine,
To lay in this painting,
The color of this love.
Setting the mood in this piece,
This color so cold and real,
Here on my canvas,
The color of my tears.
Once sunlit bright,
Now somewhere between Midnight and Navy,
Since you have been gone,
The color inside me.
When brokenhearted sunsets soak the sky,
she thinks of him and how she did not know
those blissful kisses were his last goodbye
as they embraced in summer’s twilight glow.
She understands some days just end that way -
when brokenhearted sunsets soak the sky -
but wonders why he didn’t even say
a single word! She’s left with just the WHY.
Why give no warning, leaving her to cry
for ages since the time the sky bled red?
When brokenhearted sunsets soak the sky,
she well remembers wishing she were dead.
From time to time, she still feels so bereft,
and even when she meets a decent guy,
it haunts her still the way her first love left -
when brokenhearted sunsets soak the sky.

When does an outcome thoroughly blossom
through snow falls and brokenhearted sunsets?
Life provides inspiration of awesome
born adventures to sing with no regrets.
Hope, faith, love nonstop of acknowledgement
great seductive beauty and temptation;
recall religious impoverishment
always fearing committed relation.
God step back , applaud His created world,
an endless space unfurl a breathtaking
beauty nature's hands as energy whorled.
No fractured mirrored surface myth-making.
In the brightest bright of the heaven stars;
brokenhearted sunsets are waning scars.

The love you lost will not scrub away time
Nor disguise a tear stained face curled in dark
You doubt brighter suns will once again climb
Your misery's sadness turns oligarch
Sovereign hearts judge their own choice of pain
And weigh distressed scales of fleeting love lost
Extent of emotions spent to sustain
Grow rotten and die to love at all cost
Tomorrow fills with torture you provoke
And is fraught with blurred mind's eye that remains
This pained remembrance you'll evoke
Will discharge to leave darker deeper stains
You curse the sunsets you count and lament
Brokenhearted sunsets are your torment

Death has released your soul upon this sad eve,
and there is nothing that I can do but grieve.
As a dying sun sets.
A trickle of tears has morphed into a flood,
and my heart shrivels, as though drained of its blood.
As painful as it gets.
And the fabric of my life starts to unweave,
confronting a truth I don't want to believe.
As chills turn into sweats.
I have not come to grips with the pain I feel,
clinging to the belief your death isn't real.
Life has no safety nets.
Slipping into dreams that you frequently haunt,
I can cuddle with you as long as I want.
My dreams hold no regrets.
Without you, a scarlet sunset seems mundane,
Nature's spectacle has been reduced to plain.
Brokenhearted sunsets.
The veins of brokenhearted sunsets,
blue cuts that scratch the glacial eye.
Raw with mercurial redness of debts,
locked down with crocodile jaws that die.
Breathless air in cataract twilight,
undeserved beauty of heartbroken despair.
If this curtain falls, will be but morning’s slight.
Surely the skies will fail to repair.
For without your transcendent eyes,
a certain color of turquoise ceases to exist,
the ruddy splash of the universe bids goodbye,
and only one pillow holds my fist.
