Best Ever Poems

Premium Member The Best Poem Ever

~The best poem ever~

Without saying a word I’m going to go where no one has gone before.
A twilight zone, only God and I know of.

Without saying a word I’m going to recite the best poems ever.
Poems with no vision too stare.
Quietly with a hum, only you can hear.

Silent through my mind I will walk whistling, without a care.
Feeling and thinking as my heart beat goes on.
Searching for your heart beat next to mine.
Dreaming of words that blind,
Dreaming of words which connect us together!

Without saying a word I’m going to look and speak for the first time.
Howl and feel as our chemicals sublime.
I’m going to get hungry before I die in your arms.

Through circles and rods, I carry this year alone.
Imagining all the days it was only you and I.
“Not only I!”

Without saying a word I’m going to listen for your voice to call my name.
A whisper that setting itself on repeat.

Anticipating, those look before you look away.
Wanting and waiting, I will still be whistling.
Overwhelmed by, fate at the door.

Without saying a word I’m going to, leave a whisper in the bedroom
Without making movement, with my mouth!

Control all the space, around me.
Touching the energy you left behind.
Hear the snowy winter chime.
Experience all the shelter in your hold.

Without saying a word I’m going to, lay down beside you.
Laying in a way, that feels better than freedom.

Millions of miles away, I’ll still be whistling.
And waiting and waiting, for that perfect lay.
Arguing and embracing the air we both breathe.
A breath for every reason!

Without saying a word I’m going to, mime the world tonight.
Over and over, till I mime the perfect poem, like the olden days.
Without a word to say!

I’m wrapping my own arms around me, like a mime.
Explaining the breath you took without me.
Talking to myself without saying a word!
Writing the perfect poem without a word to say!

Without saying a word I’m going to, yell this inside.
Whistle and mumble till I’m out of breath.
Dying with my dreams to be by your side!

Without saying a word I’m going to, close my eyes and see your face.
A bond not even death can break.

Without saying a word I’m going to, sit here, till your wind hits.
A tap that’s inspires the best poem ever.

Until then, I’m going to whistle without a word to say.
And enjoy your silhouette everyday.

Premium Member Only Ever With You

O N L Y E V E R W I T H Y O U

Only ever with you, I love to have and hold
into the circle of your arms, I'll unfold;
into your blue eyes' greeting shine, my gold;
only ever with you, I yearn to grow old...

Only ever with you I can write rhymes as such
for you bring my muse from dust to dash, to hush
Only ever with you my being wants to attach
as first step already taken to our primrose path

Only ever with you, tips dance linger to cherry lips
Slow summer hands will roam vast to wonderland
Whence pearl white peel smooches chocolate skin
only ever with you, heartbeats climbs a boiling point

Stars and moon may leave the dark skies
yet, one look at the gleam of your blue eyes
day and night, I see the rising sunrise.
Only ever with you, I will dive to lows or heights

for only ever with you, I'll plunge to infinity.
Prayers plea asking blessings from Divinity
to tie two hearts and two souls in sole unity.
Mindless to whatever is there in humanity

Only ever with you...

Premium Member Too Good To Ever Last

Too good - to ever last suggested bpm 80

Vs1
When we first met, I never thought
that you could ever love me...
You were the brightest star shining
so high up above me...

Bridge
I loved the way you stared, with your sparkling eyes...
I loved the way you laughed, out loud until you cried...
I loved the way you moved, with such grace and finesse...
I loved the words you used, the way you'd catch your breath...

Chorus
Guess it was too good... to ever last
I knew the end was coming... but not so fast
I thought the good times... just might be enough...
I guess you got tired ...of my simple love

Vs2
I remember when you said our first kiss
gave you the shivers...
And every time that we made love,
I'd watch you gently quiver

Bridge
I loved the way you stared, with your sparkling eyes...
I loved the way you laughed, out loud until you cried...
I loved the way you moved, with such grace and finesse...
I loved the words you used, the way you'd catch your breath..

Chorus
Guess it was too good... to ever last
I knew the end was coming, but not so fast
I thought the good times, just might be enough...
I guess you got tired ...of my simple love

Postlude
Now in the heart of the night,
nightmares fade from view
Sometimes when I find peace of mind
I still... dream of you

When we first met,
I never thought that you ...
could ever love me...

The Greatest Poet Ever

I got to wonderin' the other day
who was the greatest poet ever?
Was it a guy named Willie Shakespeare
or someone much more clever?

I thought it over for quite a while
just who this guy might be.
Then suddenly a light went on!
By God, it could be me!

So I'm gonna write a Masterpiece.
Just you wait and see.
It'll be the best poem ever wrote
and the author will be me!

Everyone from near and far
will know my famous name.
The poem I write will be so great
it will bring me worldwide fame!

I'll be chauffeured 'round in limousines
and flown in private jets.
Everyone will call me "sir"
and I'll have no regrets.

I'll be treated just like Royalty,
No matter where I go.
I'll be waited on hand and foot,
just to let you know.

So when you're in my presence
don't you forget to bow,
cause I'll be the greatest poet ever,
I'm tellin' you right now!

That's it - My mind's made up
and since I'm gonna be so great,
I decided I won't write it now,
you're just gonna have to wait!

"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and
can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words"
                                                                          ~ CS Lewis

If ever I don't know your name
recall these words that I now write:
no season ever stays the same -
fall yields to winter, day to night.

If ever I forget your face -
though hard to fathom now, dear child,
I ask you to recall the days
we walked on trails through canyons wild.

Those nights we camped under the stars
and filled our lungs with mountain air,
the trips we took in vans or cars
while singing songs from here to there.

Remember beach days, Sunday hikes,
or at the lake shore skipping stones,
those Saturdays we rode our bikes
for donuts or for ice cream cones.

I hope you won't become too sad
nor let my absence cast a pall,
for I will always be your dad
I pray our good times you'll recall.

Now go and make new memories -
in moving on, you play your part.
Sing soft our favorite melodies,
I'll sing along deep in your heart.

If Ever

if i stood
on the ledge
of darkness
aglow in the light
of moonbeams
flickering
like a lost star
beneath clouds
of life's doubt
would you
step out of shadows
and let yourself
be known

my soul
has searched
the deepest caverns
scoured hills
and valleys below
looking for yours
but only finds you
masked in dreams
still unknown
as a mystery
that may never be

i've walked
the shores
of eastern seas
counted the grains
of timeless sand
as days until we meet
then felt the lash
of storms
push me back
into the starkness
of reality
as salted sprays
kissed my lips
instead of yours

yet i still yearned
to feel your breath
arousing me
in the winds
that wrapped me
in a blanket of thoughts

i still imagine
the feel
of your touch
against bare flesh
as each day closes
against the darkness
in endless dreams

time is moving
more quickly
these days
as the years
are fading
of hope

yet still
i await
the spark
of your soul
to light mine
in the flames
of passion
if ever we were
to meet
then arise
like dawn
against
horizons
in an endless
glow

Step Ever So Light – On Halloween Night

Step Ever so light
Into this treacherous night
Creatures that abandon the day
Come out to play

Hear those Chill winds howl
To the hoot of an owl
The pale moon flickers
On black cats and bats,
While shadows dance softly
On old crooked hats.
There is corruption at play
In this treacherous night
Step Ever so light, Ever so light

Into the Halloween night
That steals your soul,
With shadows creeping
darkness takes control.
To play ball they crawl
In the moon’s eerie thrall.
The Universal teachings
They fail to recall

Step Ever so light ~ Ever so light ~ Ever so light.
Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh

Step Ever so light
It’ll steal your soul,
With shadows creeping
darkness takes control.
To play ball they crawl
In the moon’s eerie thrall,
The Universal teachings
They fail to recall
Step Ever so light ~ Ever so light ~ Ever so light.
Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh

Have You Ever

Have You Ever

Stood in a field of ripened gold grain
Lifted your face to be kissed by the rain
Felt in your heart the anguish of pain?
*
Held someone's hand in their hour of sorrow
Brought a new dream to the edge of tomorrow
Leaned on a friend finding strength to borrow?
*
Spent a sweet moment with a child at play
Given a home to a lost lonely stray
Found faces in clouds as they float away?
*
Held a lost moment hidden in time
Sucked on the juice of a tree ripened lime
Whispered a word in transcendant rhyme?
*
Descend in the depths and found yourself lost
Awakend with wonder to windowpane frost
Swallowed a slight despite the high cost?
*
Danced in the wind with a rose in your hair
Cried all alone with no one to care
Hoped for tomorrow with all you can share?
*
These are the moments that make life worthwhile
Knowing that living shares joy with the trial
And so much is solved when a face wears a smile.

Your Love I'Ll Ever Bear

I want to word my very Love for you
though as a shy child, I start to stammer
a beloved Mother, my sole bijou
as I am of your prime Land enamoured.

A rose breathing the scent of your terra
born and bred knowing no other home soil
how can I bear the burn of your Summer
anger and worry within my chest boil.

I want to paint my very pride in you
with drops of my blood and ivory star
then draw your nature and beauty anew
how would my poetry meet who you are?

To my dear mother, shall I, You compare?
TUNISIA, Your Love, I'll ever bear.

Premium Member The Best Christmas Gift Ever

I was one of seven children
Raised in a tiny three-bedroom house
The rooms were so small
They could comfort a mouse

Always, at Christmas
We would cram 'round the tree
And I'd look for the presents
That were gift-wrapped for me

One special Christmas
Sorry, I can't remember the year
But I remember the present
That had shed me a tear

My dad who was away
Two months- offshore
Had sent me a letter
Just two weeks before

He mailed it from London
To our home in U.S.
But it must have got lost
Or tossed...in the mess

That's what I wanted most for Christmas
I couldn't think of anything better
Not a bike, not a toy, nor money
I just wanted to read my dad's letter

I recall my mom telling me
As I sat weeping on the floor
I have one last surprise, son
My Dad- (((WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR)))

Premium Member Forbidden Freedom, first ever Collaboration with the Silent One

If "we" are a sin,
Why is my heart bleeding for you?
Why is my soul screaming out your name?

Chained by the links of horrors that hold me against you,
Towered high up above the ground,
Little did they know I'd crumble every bone just for you.
I would not wish such adversity upon my adversaries, such as the animosity which chastises our hearts.

Every precious petal in my garden has turned black, waiting for your lips to rejuvenate their vibrant hues.

Why must love be cursed by society's blindness,
or has Cupid's ignorance plagued our forbidden fate. Maybe death is the only freedom for our devotion

Premium Member I Never Ever Want To See You Again

One look at you – that’s all it took
Your long long legs that seem to go on forever
Those eyes staring at me
All I feel for you is revulsion
Hate – it’s a horrible word but I simply detest you
There will never be a place for you in my life ...
Goodbye
Then I flushed the spider down the plughole!

Premium Member The Hardest Thing I'Ve Ever Had To Do

The hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you.

Well, of course,
It was pretty hard when you refused to go to the funeral after my Father died,
And I’d hate for this relationship to end in a lie, so…

The second hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you.

But, to come to think of it,
It was probably harder when I had to give Skippy away.
You know, when you made us move to Florida because you hated the cold,
I’ll never forget that day.

The third hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you.

Well, not quite as hard as it was when I had that little operation,
And you decided still to take your vacation,
And left me alone in the hospital with no visitation.
That was hard.

The fourth hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you.

You know, I did take it pretty hard when I proposed to you
And you said if I couldn’t buy you a bigger ring we’d be through
And I had to sell my car and hock my guitar
To get you a ring as big as a star.
That was pretty hard.

The fifth hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you.

Well darn it, no!
It was hard going to school at nights and working all day
Because you didn’t want to get a job and wanted me to earn more pay.
What exactly did you do with yourself all day!?

The sixth hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you.

No, its time to admit it,
I saw you with Tom that night,
And Bob the time before that,
And Tim and George, Harry and Frank.
That was hard on me and I’ve got you to thank.

The seventh hardest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you.

Now just wait a minute!
This is not hard.
In fact this is rather easy.
The hard part was living with you,
Placating you,
Pretending to love you,
Pretending that you loved me,
Heck, this is easy!

The easiest thing I’ve ever had to do,
Was to say I’m through with you!

Boy that was easy!
Now I feel much better.

Premium Member Dead To Me Means More Alive Than Ever

Before I die, I want my grandchildren to know these things.
Believe in yourself and be your own best friend.
No one else can keep your secrets like you can.
And if you do not believe in yourself, it will be difficult for others to.

I want my grandchildren to know this:
When you get old your hearing and eyesight may fly away.
Like birds on an almost weather day, never to return.
So do whatever you want now while you are fresh and young.

I want to will my five hundred paintings to my grandchildren.
For I feel my children will pluck them off my walls and burn them.
They know how swiftly I paint, and do not have a love for hippies.
Grands appreciate my neon colors, unicorns, dragons and faeries.

I want to apologize to my children for the mess I am leaving.
I did not bother to clean anything,
It will be a bonding experience for you three girls
A week or two of cousins getting together, which will amuse me.

I want to assure you that I will be in a catbird seat, watching.
I will listen to what you are saying about me, and I will laugh with you.
I never took myself too seriously, and it will be a great time for me.
Because life beyond this world is the real living. Earth life is confining.

Letting you in on a secret. I am an astral traveler in my slumber.
I am not in my body; my spirit is outside, travelling at great speeds.
I do not believe in death, because I am also an empath
I am not “dead” – I am actually more alive than ever before.

If Ever

.

And if ever my lips are
               touched
        may it be of your
           wetness only

          My torso held
       by your arms only

      My legs interlocked
        with yours firmly

       If ever the words
I love you enter mine ears

                I pray
from your throat they come
