Step Ever so light Into this treacherous night Creatures that abandon the day Come out to play Hear those Chill winds howl To the hoot of an owl The pale moon flickers On black cats and bats, While shadows dance softly On old crooked hats. There is corruption at play In this treacherous night Step Ever so light, Ever so light Into the Halloween night That steals your soul, With shadows creeping darkness takes control. To play ball they crawl In the moon’s eerie thrall. The Universal teachings They fail to recall Step Ever so light ~ Ever so light ~ Ever so light. Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh Step Ever so light It’ll steal your soul, With shadows creeping darkness takes control. To play ball they crawl In the moon’s eerie thrall, The Universal teachings They fail to recall Step Ever so light ~ Ever so light ~ Ever so light. Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh ~ Oh

Dearest Maria, poetess extraordinaire, your "Halloween" poetic production is impressive; poetically, musically and visually! You and Ron are a dynamic duo of creative energy. I enjoyed the stirring visual feast and the lilting lyrical quality of your verses and rhymes. The spirit of Halloween is eerily and exquisitely animated upon the screen and page. Your artistry is a precious gift. Warmest wishes and hugs, my sweet poet sis.. ~Susan

Wow! This is so beautiful and very creative althugh scary. I regret of coming here so late. I must have visited your page before halloween and borrowed your lyric , sound, background music and all, getting a lip singer and dancers in costume. Of course with your permission to use on our Halloween Day. Maybe next year? Outstanding my dear poet friend. I enjoyed this a lot. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent. I'll be back for a permission please. More blessings to you. Hugs

Thank you for your visit S1, in spite of you hesitancy and non belief in Halloween. I guess if it makes people happy - so what, but all the kids get sugar hits, perhaps people should give out healthy savoury snacks instead. Lol - your visit and comments are always most welcome. I appreciate it and so does Ron. Hugs

Very melodic lyrics... great sound mixing and excellent production. The spooky scene created is unnerving! I could identify a few characters... Count Dracula, the Beauty and the beast, the witch in Hamlet (?) The three videos I have watched so far .. are all excellent. Congratulations to you Maria and Ron- the gifted duo !

Thank you Valsa, you too are a talented poet. Count Dracula was in the first Halloween night and not in 'Step ever so Light' and not Hamlet - but beauty and the beast. The rest are well chosen Valsa - thanks for making the effort. The whole list of characters is on the Youtube video, by clicking onto the 'watch on youtube' picture and then click on 'More' if you like - Thanks again. I enjoyed your poems too. Hugs Maria. PS - which part of the country are you from I wonder.

Dear Maria, I loved the music, the words, the characters, etc. I saw many characters that I could identify, and if I watched several times, I would probably get quite a few more. Many Disney and Children's characters. It's creepy but yet rewarding. Autumn Blessings, MY Dear Friend, Daniel

I love the music, how you amplify and accent on black cats and bats! I love the intro, Maria the piano playing skeleton with flour hair and the red dress regalia! I'm wanting to say the singer with the mic to be Micheal Bublé? Halloween Theatre, superb with a touch of horror. Faving

Thank you for your comment and the fave Anaya, I'm glad you liked the piano playing skeleton, with her powdered wig. You gave the idea when you mentioned in your last comment that you liked the classical piano. Hugs Maria PS -No the voice wasn't Michael Buble`'s voice - But on one of my earlier videos 'Love Said' with the Silent One has La Vie en Rose` sung by Michael and another Canadian female singer. Sorry for the late reply as I've been working on a country and western video for Tom Woody. Hugs Maria

Woaah, what a spine-chilling and spooky video along with absolutely genius visuals taking references from myriad gothic dimensions! I really love your profound wordsmithery here, dear Maria... the way you've played around with thoughts, storytelling, dark plot and what not ~ it has received bewitched my heart. "In the moon's eerie thrall", the blackened charade conjured it all... Impeccable art and talent you possess! Enjoyed reading this post and seeing the video, beyond marvelous. Sending many best wishes and light to you always ~ a fave for me ~
