Forbidden Freedom, first ever Collaboration with the Silent One

This was written-December 2020, my first ever collaboration with the Silent One. I remember having to write about ten times before I could write like him. That was when we first met on Instagram, and I invited him on my closed community poets island to join our islanders, and I decided to have everyone to do collaborations on "forbidden freedom" and Silent One was the one I picked to write with, without realizing , that it would be the beginning of a learning journey. Ever since then, I've been mentored by Silent One, and I remember in the beginning getting a little annoyed and upset when he guide me lol :D anyhow I just wanted to thank him today, as it is soon the date we first became partners in poetry and bestfriends that created so many poetic memories. And also this is my 100th post on soup and if not for him I wouldn't have met so many amazing poets here too. Grateful to have learned so much from you

If "we" are a sin, Why is my heart bleeding for you? Why is my soul screaming out your name? Chained by the links of horrors that hold me against you, Towered high up above the ground, Little did they know I'd crumble every bone just for you. I would not wish such adversity upon my adversaries, such as the animosity which chastises our hearts. Every precious petal in my garden has turned black, waiting for your lips to rejuvenate their vibrant hues. Why must love be cursed by society's blindness, or has Cupid's ignorance plagued our forbidden fate. Maybe death is the only freedom for our devotion

Dear Ink, such an outstanding collaboration! Thank you for providing some history of your connection. Congrats on your time and effort, this is a memorable poem and 100th Poetry Soup post. This poignant poem delves into the essence of true love and how our limited human understanding has made it difficult to pin down or explain something as transcendent as it is infinitely pure. Ahhh, this reminds me of an old Korean movie we watched, can't remember the name, but in the end the forbidden lovers jump into the sea together and perish. A well known song accompanied the movie. Anyway, you and SO make awesome writing partners. Maria and I have done several. Good stuff as always

Awwwn, my heart is seriously melting on the moon-glazed musings of the emotions that you both have poured in heare.. Although being poignant, this poem speaks about the essence of true love and how now mortal boundaries can define or fathom something as pure as genuine love which is infinite! There are hints of darkness in these lines which can pierce through my soul, but still, it's a magnificent expression stating that two souls are connected beyond all bounds.. Gosh, made me tear up, wowww

Actually, although this might be your first ever collab together, but sincerely speaking, no one can actually distinguish between both of ur lines, as to who wrote which part- that's truly impeccable! Oh this was almost three years ago... damn.. I remember it well.. I kept asking you to change it and after this one, all our collaborations were quite frustrating for you.. but tough love is always the best way to teach sometimes... i mean, if you are irritated by every rub how will your mirror be polished? Was the theme forbidden fruit for this prompt? I remember when it was set and I said I would only collaborate with you lol... of course your were so willing and look at you know, amazing.

Ill forever be grateful to the universe for allowing me to meet someone patient like you as a mentor lol i can be hard work, and its a senstive subject when one gets corrected for how they write. But i think i listened and i learned. And now some say i sound like you and thats the biggest compliment really haha. Altho i can still be metaphorically more acrobatic lol thank you once again truly for everything
