I saw truant clouds wading through late evening sky.
With sunset, they got dyed in varying shades,
Forming into configurations of differing shape and size!
Giants, mountains and raw bundles of fluffy wool,
To be woven into yet a hundred patterns.

Twilight shadows slowly began to fall,
Like gauzy gossamer webs here and there
Night came stepping down from the heights.
I heard the wind singing through the leaves.
Their sweet cadence lifted my moods.

From the forest, a nightingale echoed a happy note.
Crickets in chorus chanted in sonorous tones.
As I looked on, from creamy cotton clouds,
Full moon emerged like a seductive temptress.
What a majestic sight of incomparable beauty!

Stars were seen as silver sequences stitched on,
An unfurling cerulean veil of chiffon silk.
I felt so weightless, being lifted to great heights.
As I lost myself in the irresistible charm of the night,
A thousand butterflies of joy danced within me.

Spending a few moments pondering

The syllogism of existentialism, and

All of the pages of histories

Finds, movements, theories and themes....

The intricities; complexities

Compounds; variables and factors

Real or imagined?

Proven, and reproven

Or, reasonings and conclusions

Breakthroughs!?

How far we've come

How far we've gone

On and on, and on and on....

Scientifical; anthrolifical; astronomical

Enlightenments, and advancements

Psychological; philosophical

Both, for me and you

That is, if we do, share

The same points of view?

Oh how I love complete silence

Stillness....

The meditation of contemplation

Trying to take hold, of the transitory

And to incise it, into forevers

Monomorphic stone!?....

Standing amid, a quaglistic earthium

Chisms of revisums; revisums, of the isms

Circular conjugation, concoursing

It's configurations....

Unbeknown, toward, a conflagration

Beyond the eyes?

This, schizogenic, schizogenesis

Premium Member Shifting Plates of Time

The ground rumbles, ominously, I'm on the steep side of a Mississippi River Bluff, mid-August, gathering bursting crimson red trophies of Staghorn Sumac for my favorite sumac-ade, a spright, invigorating tonic I enjoy this time of year. The smell in the air, forest-sage beginning to dry and ripen, the bitter tang of scattered paper-birch bark chimneys...must keep alert for the origins of the earthly rumble.

The unsettled earth, sweet and bitter smells...mix with my age and I sit down as if in a trance and drift asleep...harkening back to my training as a young man in a Manhattan Bagel Deli, assembling prep-stations for the customer onslaught about to descend. Proofed bagel dough, seeded and rotating in the elevator slate-shelved oven after a frothy malt-bath in the bubbling giant kettle, delectable aromas of fairly vibrating paper-sliced spiced meats and piquant aged cheeses, briny sheets of smoked lox, pots of sweetly acidic capers and luminous heirloom tomatoes...

But I'm much older now, my mind remembers, but my body can't function like it once did, I can't perform the once-easy configurations effortlessly like before.

The rumbling, just my imagination...

I awaken, gather my bunch of fluorescent sumac, which I am still able to concoct, mindful of God's Grace in my spiritual and physical evolution...He

Has Blessed me with.

Slow By Flower

Slow by Flower

I am here

You say
Teasing every breath
Into original
Continual
Perpetual
you whisper out this
Love

I am here

Here behind the day
Inside the night
Laying translucent in these configurations of
Light

You are here
In a billion forms
Of the message of
Love
Incapable of judgment
Unconditional

Slow by flower
We grow
Slow by flower
We understand
And in our faces
You hold perception
Embraced

For all your questions
Our choices remain
We walk through the halls of the traveler
And dance through the unexplained

My voice echoes daily
A susurration spoken to a thunderclap
A single drop of rain
Calling
I am talking

To you

What is it that you do not know ?
What is it that you do not perceive ?
Inside these constructs you have created
Everything is me

Slow by flower
Time in time breathes
Speaking a dawn
Where the seeds of your heart
Are seen

It will only take a moment
I am a moment of clarity

I am here

I am now

You say

I am sipping this wine

And writing these lines

To read them in return

If only

You

If only

If only

If only…………….

Premium Member Ode To An Earthquake-W

What a day you chose, Grandma Mine!
To quake, to move, to shiver, to shake
Thereby to ravage, to savage, to shatter,
The celebrations of Mother India Republic Day.
A female snake eating her own children!
What bad karma those school children had done?
What configurations of the planets took place
In the natal charts of those thousand killed?

Million years ago you jolted and rocked,
Opening up the Atlantic & creating Indian Ocean,
Delinking India from Africa and Sri Lanka.
Those oceans are widening & the Pacific shrinking.
Will North America & Asia drift into each other?
*The twelve plates mate and hate each other,
Caribbean to Cocos & Indian to Eurasian.
Your wanton ways to be taken as blessing in disguise?
Your natural acts as great levelers? Or
HE made the world to fit best to create & destroy.

                      +++++++

*There are 12 twelve plates of our mother earth. It is based on the earthquake
that shook India's seaside area on 26th January 2000, the Independence Day of
India.

                         +++++++

Premium Member Bright Star Rose

"Bright Star Rose"

Bright Star shone on the bright side far beyond the dark side
Bright Star let the dark slide between and underneath
the cracks burning in the road well travelled under the Others' soles

and Bright Star’s soul levitated much higher above the ground

from the base of those Other empire state stories' eyes
steadfast in their lofty realms hived in all those lost bodies
united in a bad bad dream

and Bright Star soft falling mask of eremite melting
rose higher and brighter than bright
and kissed the highest hidden brightest star

blazing in the darkest night's dark indigo blue sky

and Bright Star riding the waked forever in a sweet unrest
outshone the singularity of the eclipsed
enraptured and embraced as Love is

in the Hidden's timeless breast

Candide Diderot. ‘24

"In all configurations
The curve is the thing that can go back on itself
Over and over
As the stars turn around each other
And light the way for travelers
Who come along through time
Looking for that one that could bend the path just so
To take us home

And light shines
And light shines

Around the table, where they all sit smiling
Hands with fingers moving as they tell their stories of being lost
Then found
No matter what the place, they saw the face
Of one who showed the way along the road well-traveled..."

Sun Kissed and Star Dusted Air Castles

She is whimsical midst-escaping
 blackness & beige stagnation,
reverberant betwixt musicality &
 fictitious paisley fabrications,
recognizes the actuality of her
 enigmatic spirit's frivolity,
well-defined by her quirky
quintessence serving her far beyond
periods of reflective flourishes,
has never been a slave to social
expectations nor gravitas of
 worldly-minded undertakings,
materialism is not her cuppa tang
 nor an applicable proposition,
heartfelt inclination is e'er creation
 and the freedoms it relishes,
you may catch glimpses midway
 seascapes & ocean's roar or
summits of splendiferous
 mountain's sumptuous loftiness,
swaggers 'bout configurations
 and milky way's artsy effulgence,
plays amidst wistful forests with
 nymphets and poisonous toadstools
sashays 'round wildflower meadows
 blanketed yonder moon blushes,
sun-kissed & star dusted she's
 collectively nightfall 'pon daylight,
envisages building soaring air castles
 amidst macrocosms high-rise skies'
 timelessness whence humankind
shall humbly recognize enlightened
 ceremony of incommensurate
resoluteness & obsessive commitment
 furthermost nature's conceptualizations

Spaceship

Coma like consciousness resurfaces
Enclosed in a capsule shaped sleep chamber
A few vague abstract shapes pass and repass

Overhead LED lights flash response
Feeling for control pressure area
Oxygen floods now obsolete chamber
The glass frame clicks and glides swiftly open
Stepping out Grayson squats to do knee bends

"Hi" and a friendly tap on his shoulder confirms
First Mate Adams has likewise awakened
Refreshed after a dry crystal shower
He meets up with his colleague once again

The onboard computer interrupts with
update logistical data read out
Which lasts approx. eleven earth hours
Grayson takes up his first watch duty role
Familiarising relevant complans
Compiling notes on configurations
While studying the moon's crater surface

Alien report flashes up on screen
Sentient. All O.K. No import flares
Star Planet Ogilvy one light year away

"Hi Grayson", greets Adam's approaching frame
"Any adverse affects from your nano sleep?"
"No Doc", Grayson responds positively
Then automatically checks his stun gun
Noting Adams back view does not compute

A pulsating neck protuberance glows red
Horror struck Grayson then sees it turn purple
As he raises his gun to eye level
Adams then turns unexpectedly
Seeing the lazar ray hone in on him
Smile freezes and registers shock on his face.

Premium Member Beautiful Spring Flowers

in my city of Canada ...
the snowdrop flower ... welcomes Spring
      growing through the melting snow
the flower contour is a snowdrop
    even a single is impressive
snowdrops are a symbol used in poetry

~ soon garden nurseries are selling
pansies in a wild rainbow of saturations
that can survive our still cold nights ~

       and then come the petunias
that cheerful garden favorite for window boxes
in a multitude of hues and configurations
I love the type that grow like a wave
        for my hanging baskets ...

~ some of the names for petunia varieties
so poetically named are ... dream, magic
cascade, horizon, fantasy, and more ~

but, my absolute favorite Spring flower
    is the tulip ... a jewel-like beauty
that only blooms for 3 to 7 days
to create sweeping beds breathtaking ...
in every tint and intensity imaginable and guise
the spiritual meaning of a tulip is love, reflection,
                 forgiveness and 'new beginnings' ...

~ a bit of history- in 1945 Canada sheltered
the future Dutch Queen Julianna during WW2 Nazi
occupation and in thanks the Dutch sent
thousands of tulip bulbs ... and still do ~

a single perfection, a ruffled, a striped... each beautiful

My Warrior In a Bottle

My precious hand sanitizer how I love you so much.
You make me feel O so powerful killing 99.99%
Of those bedraggled germs
Your strong smell is more forceful than a king
You come in many hues
And many configurations and are immaculate in all ways
You are my powerful assassin
Some can not handle your forceful power
And mighty smell
But I can with stand it
Some people spite you but not I
You are my right hand man
All the infinitesimal germs on my hands fear you
The fear you spread through the germs
Moves faster than wildfire
And stronger than lighting
You are my warrior in a bottle
My precious hand sanitizer what would I do without you
My hands are the country and you are my warrior
You keep the sickness at bay
When I put you on, you wrap my hands with your powerful might
My precious hand sanitizer I love you so much
And you make me feel O so powerful

Big Eye Wonderment

An iridescent celestial being
Anarchic yet effervescent adolescent
Frolicking freely in the omnipresent forest,
Like a breeze through the leaves.
Barefoot & star gazing — native & trail blazing.
Like a clever, fearless fairy exploring the faraway night sky,
I am the fantastic bit of magic on an otherwise static planet.
Bewitched by wild wonderment;
Coloring my life with the chaos of pathos.
I am the captain of passion, & best little hippie
On the mountain — formed by a volcanic fountain
That caused a panic on our little oceanic planet.

Dancing in multidimensional secrecy,
Past an unattainable horizon
Is where you'll find me — on the Big Island in the sea.
It is a true treasures
With impeccable weather & such mystic characteristic,
It's almost unrealistic.

So forget your whimsey Hawaii five-O fantasy
Tear a hole right through the sky
Arise, & fly with me on a real odyssey
Across the mesmerizing island
Teeming with undreamed of creatures
& seemingly endless saffron sand beaches
few have ever been
up to the
Vermilion rainbow plateaus
& sacred volcano summits
Amidst cascading honey suckled waterfalls
& streams of splendiferous wildflower meadows.

We can indulge in thousands of hues of bloom
Or retreat, once more to the oasis at the shore,
To stand hand in hand before the prevailing trends
Of a turning world; scattering brightness in the dark
Fledge millennium into an unadulterated oblivion.
Enveloping what is suspend in time
with a colour compass configurations
The universe, nearly legible expresses herself
Writing constellational scribe
elucidating galaxy.
