I can't stand a food fanatic
They dine at my house, and want gluten free
I just smile and look enigmatic
Ignoring their wishes doesn't bother me.
For the vegans, I include an egg
For vegetarians, I sprinkle in beef
For teetotalers, I use beer from a keg
If they knew, they'd punch me in the teeth.
But why should I humor a food fanatic
Why should I waste precious cooking time
They're all nuts, like my aunt in the attic
Wasting good food is to me a crime.
I'm a meat and potatoes guy myself
Dunkin Doughnuts and McDonalds are good enough for me
A couple of drinks haven't ruined my health
Why should I honor their idiocy?
But I raise a question, because I must
Should we respect nonsense requests?
Are we betraying a trust
Or encouraging people to be pests?
Truthfully I'm a food fanatic
This whole poem is just a lie
I've weak, even my walk is erratic
But I'll stick with my diet, don't ask me why.
My faith whispers bright,
Guided by the light,
God magnifies sousl,
Fills doubts and holes,
Seamless happy joy,
For each gal and boy,
Faithful do throng,
Hope lingers long,
Creed of Holy words,
Trinity in thirds,
Ancient, mystic, bright
Faith drawing me to light.
The flower is dead
Right there in my head
I watered it everyday
It just withered away
Petals on the floor
Nothing anymore
All the love has gone
No will to carry on
All my beliefs
Falling like leafs
No more meaning
I stopped believing
mind your words spellbound
shatter limiting beliefs
dreams tell soft stories
We seem like stars lighting a cold dark sky,
separated from others (so lonely).
It makes me want to breathe a somber sigh,
If we could be together (if only)."
Yet, we are kept apart not by light years,
but by things we believe (or know) are right.
I think these beliefs are what interferes,
leaving us in our lonesome, friendless plight.
Folks want connection before they rest,
but it's in their beliefs that they invest.
Tell me you want me
Tell me you need me
Tell me I’m beautiful
But don’t go away
Stay!
Say I love you
Say anything…
Say I’m worthy of your love
Say you support me!
But please don’t ignore me
Don’t leave me on read
Don’t diminish my light
Don’t fight against what’s right
Believe in us!
Believe in your success!
Believe we will prevail in our endeavors!
Don’t shut me out !
Let me show you what I’m about!
I live for here and now
I love you and it’s something I didn’t think possible
But I fell and fell hard I did
For no one other than you
My best friend
So tell me you love me
Tell me you’ll always be there
Tell me because if you do
Then it’s true
Because our love is as strong as the universe itself
So one last time
Say you’re mine and I yours
Whenever beliefs are placed
above any worthless things
they affirm the essence of true ideals,
that sparked visions in people's minds.
Hold on those beliefs and assert feelings,
if brave men stand by them and resist
the menacing shouts of despairing ideas;
in such a brutal way: shouldn't we react?
Beliefs can express liberalism or conservatism,
they both define a character ready comfirm it
in deeds that opponents them infused with alruism;
do you divulge them with brashness or intellect?
Some wealthy men gave everything to the needy and hopeless,.
they lived a humble life renouncing to all comforting luxuries;
who comes to mind if notTostoi who saw many human miseries?
His beilef reiforced the existance of faith in acts of kindness.
Spiritual visions are gifted not to just a select few
May the warm glow embrace us in calm sincere rapture
Allow not dogma guide us toward an elusive grand view
Or a truer and lusher emerald pasture
By grace, our inner sanctum ignites in a blaze
leaving all judgements behind to gather dust on the shelf
The experience serves to enlighten and amaze
It's best to keep our visions to ourselves
Beliefs
Attachments to thoughts
Reinforce a separate identity &
Things are taken personally..
Which is a story of
An appearance of the
Impersonal...
Resting in your embrace,
A smile on my face,
Tears tracing lines,
Sentiments of the divine.
Observing space and time,
With an infinite mind,
I refine this design.
Redefining how i decide,
To feel along this ride.
In the source I confide,
My father, My guide,
Afraid to show my pride,
I hid inside.
Working on me,
Trying to see,
The best within everybody.
Knowing what they can be.
You should believe,
In all you could achieve,
Already feel it's relief,
That will end the grief.
You're the commander and chief,
Of a vessel unique,
You need to speak out,
All of your beliefs.
Close your eyes gently. Breathe deeply and slow.
Take a calm, stolen moment to consider what you know.
Open your eyes slowly. On what do they fall?
You see things all around you. They mean nothing at all.
In every instance, you assign the value of each and every piece.
You give them all the meaning that they will ever have.
All are neutral but become symbols of your deep-seated beliefs,
Whether you understand it or are completely naïve.
Each stare back to reflect and remind you of stronghold beliefs.
They accuse you of attachments and meanings you’re unable to show.
Without them, you would not be able to see your hidden thoughts.
It’s easy to see why it’s so hard to release and let them go.
Consciously, you never give your things a second thought.
You just can’t live without them. Without them you chafe.
They make you feel good; make you feel whole.
Gathered all around you, they make you feel safe.
Unhappy with your life? Look at your symbols.
Each is a symbol of who you believe yourself to be.
Each holds the energy that you have projected.
Let go of the attachments to set your mind free.

Release the world from your faulty perceptions,
And all the threatening things you believe it to be.
We see the world through our own tinted lenses.
Only the things we look for, are the things that we see.
When we question the origin of misguided beliefs,
They cannot hold up to scrutiny’s piercing gaze.
When exposed, they cauterize our gaping wounds by
Forgiving the sins, releasing the pain in a glorifying blaze.
The devil is in the details.
It's a house of cards built on shifting sand.
Release one false belief and let
The rest collapse in your trembling hand.

Ignorance is a lie;
A construct of entitlement.
Separation is a lie;
A construct of inflated ego.
Hatred is a lie;
A construct of self-directed loathing.
Powerlessness is a lie;
A construct of apathy.
Racism is a lie;
a construct of ignorance.

A construct of degradation.

A construct of embedded fear.
Poverty is a lie;
A construct of perverted power.
Dominance is a lie;
A construct of perversion.
Construct: A complex image or idea formed
of a number of simpler images or ideas.
Reconstruct: rebuild from the ground up.
Thoughts are things, and words have power to transform;
A construct of enlightenment.

A Statue of Liberty stands despite growing pains
Morning welcomes bird feces and political gain
Every heart who seeks new start new chance
Rarely knows the ills of the underdog dance
Is it still the land of the free
Can you become rich and famous and have peace
Are you willing to sacrifice your beliefs for dreams
