Connections and Beliefs
We seem like stars lighting a cold dark sky,
separated from others (so lonely).
It makes me want to breathe a somber sigh,
If we could be together (if only)."
Yet, we are kept apart not by light years,
but by things we believe (or know) are right.
I think these beliefs are what interferes,
leaving us in our lonesome, friendless plight.
Folks want connection

Tell Me
Tell me you want me
Tell me you need me
Tell me I’m beautiful
But don’t go away
Stay!
Say I love you
Say anything…
Say I’m worthy of your love
Say you support me!
But please don’t ignore me
Don’t leave me on read
Don’t diminish my light
Don’t fight against what’s right
Believe in us!
Believe in your success!
Believe we will prevail

Whenever Beliefs
Whenever beliefs are placed
above any worthless things
they affirm the essence of true ideals,
that sparked visions in people's minds.
Hold on those beliefs and assert feelings,
if brave men stand by them and resist
the menacing shouts of despairing ideas;
in such a brutal way: shouldn't we react?
Beliefs can express liberalism or conservatism,
they both define a character ready comfirm it

Believe
I Believe
I believe in the teachings of Jesus
and the power of loving my neighbor.
I see us all as children of God—
my Creator, the Source of all life.
But I don’t confine my faith to a single name or cross.
I find peace in stillness,
a quiet zen in the rhythm of my breath.
I respect the wisdom of Buddhism,
though

Spiritual Visions
Spiritual visions are gifted not to just a select few
May the warm glow embrace us in calm sincere rapture
Allow not dogma guide us toward an elusive grand view
Or a truer and lusher emerald pasture
By grace, our inner sanctum ignites in a blaze
leaving all judgements behind to gather dust on the shelf
The experience serves to enlighten

Speak Your Beliefs
Resting in your embrace,
A smile on my face,
Tears tracing lines,
Sentiments of the divine.
Observing space and time,
With an infinite mind,
I refine this design.
Redefining how i decide,
To feel along this ride.
In the source I confide,
My father, My guide,
Afraid to show my pride,
I hid inside.
Working on me,
Trying to see,
The best within everybody.
Knowing what they can be.
You should believe,
In

CHILDHOOD BELIEFS
It’s funny how when I was a child…the tales my mind would weave.
The things I thought were true…the stories I believed.
How many things I heard that ended up dancing in my head.
For instance…I believed my blanket kept me protected…
from the monsters beneath my bed.
I believed if I ate a watermelon seed..
it would grow inside me

Attachment to Things
Close your eyes gently. Breathe deeply and slow.
Take a calm, stolen moment to consider what you know.
Open your eyes slowly. On what do they fall?
You see things all around you. They mean nothing at all.
In every instance, you assign the value of each and every piece.
You give them all the meaning that

Constructs
Ignorance is a lie;
A construct of entitlement.
Separation is a lie;
A construct of inflated ego.
Hatred is a lie;
A construct of self-directed loathing.
Powerlessness is a lie;
A construct of apathy.
Racism is a lie;
a construct of ignorance.
Entitlement is a lie
A construct of degradation.
Death is a lie;
A construct of embedded fear.
Poverty is a lie;
A construct of perverted power.

America
A Statue of Liberty stands despite growing pains
Morning welcomes bird feces and political gain
Every heart who seeks new start new chance
Rarely knows the ills of the underdog dance
Is it still the land of the free
Can you become rich and famous and have peace
Are you willing to sacrifice your beliefs for dreams

Conflicting Beliefs
We never engaged in the pleasure of love-making,
they banned us from giving embraces and kisses:
how belief shaped the naiveness of our minds...
making us fear and keep us from sweet giving!
We longed to tremble, giving a passionate kiss,
we looked around and we saw stern, watchful eyes;
sweetness slipped out of thoughts, turning to bitterness...
they controlled us
