We seem like stars lighting a cold dark sky,
separated from others (so lonely).
It makes me want to breathe a somber sigh,
If we could be together (if only)."
Yet, we are kept apart not by light years,
but by things we believe (or know) are right.
I think these beliefs are what interferes,
leaving us in our lonesome, friendless plight.

Whenever Beliefs

Whenever beliefs are placed
above any worthless things
they affirm the essence of true ideals,
that sparked visions in people's minds.

Hold on those beliefs and assert feelings,
if brave men stand by them and resist
the menacing shouts of despairing ideas;
in such a brutal way: shouldn't we react?

Beliefs can express liberalism or conservatism,

I believe in the teachings of Jesus

It’s funny how when I was a child…the tales my mind would weave.
The things I thought were true…the stories I believed.

How many things I heard that ended up dancing in my head.
For instance…I believed my blanket kept me protected…

We never engaged in the pleasure of love-making,
