UK. Lincolnshire poet. Retired paramedic and mental health support worker. Clive's poem Another Day At The Office made the Long List of The Plough Prize for Poetry 2017. He has had poems published in poetry magazines such as Popshot Magazine and also online at The Dirigible Balloon. Clive has an interest in nature religion, of life, death and rebirth - the cycle of nature, the Eternal Return, and that we live our lives over and over, a thought that features in some of his poems. The universe and the earth often represent the female role in his poetry. Often a surrealist poet, Clive enjoys the magic and mysterious realms of realities that make up our multiverse. Clive also writes upon reflection of his time with mental illness, of depression and anxiety, another frequent subject of his poems. Mix with all that with a smatherlump of nonsense poems, of which Clive enjoys writing the most, and you have quite a collection! His favourite poets are Robert Graves and Leonard Cohen.
Clive's poetry books - Oh, Fae-Folk (folklore poems), A Smatherlump Of Nonsense Poetry (humorous verse) & The Opals of Ohbard and Pell (philosophical, metaphysical poetry) are available on amazon kindle or paperback.
