Inspired by Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins' pamphlet The Discovery Of Witches, 1647, in which Vinegar Tom was supposedly a demon/imp or a witches familiar.

Vinegar Tom

O Vinegar Tom your belly is long your head is of ox your body is dog you live with a witch do Devilish bids you dance to her song O Vinegar Tom

It's actually based on the fact that Vinegar Tom was alledgedly a witches familiar noted by Matthew Hopkins in his 17th century pamphlet Discovery Of Witches. So I suppose it's a dedication really. Thanks Tom
