Something Seen
Miracle Man
November 6, 2023

In mind’s dusty corner and fast asleep,
a memory lies dormant that’s Verboten.
But on sundry occasions it dares to creep,
and though forgiven it’s not forgotten.

Something witnessed while not an adult,
painted an indelible picture on my being.
There wasn’t any in whom I would consult,
so I accepted the fact there was no unseeing.

Those involved long since have passed,
but to this memory I’ve always been a slave.
Periodically in my life I’ve felt downcast,
this book closes when I’m in my grave.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean that I forgive the act,
just that I forgive them for having done it,

Romans 3:23
“for we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;”

Going mad, bonkers , crazy!
Attempting to CCP on the new iPad.
Rather be pushing up daisies!
A beautiful poem I wrote, gone like Casper the Ghost!

Oops_ he will be put away soon,
By the WOKE culture, too,
Unless he and his Mother.....
Change from that verboten white color.

I am just sharing silliness.
But I am truly high stressed.
Please, please no advice!
I am going to have soothing tea with ice.

To my American friends..
It is Memorial Day...
I cannot but so wonder,
When that will be replaced
By an International Togetherness Day?

Dalliance In a Bungalow

dalliance in a bungalow; euphony.
our mellifluous voices blend and
no longer is mine demure

felicity fills our love lagoon
an effervescent elixir
that which is becoming of beauty

that, which is so ephemeral.
fugacious love succumbs to day

for when the gossamer web of amorance
turns chatoyant in sunlight,
their murmurous musings begin

and so we must reveal the imbroglio of our verboten affairs.

‘tis all clandestine, dear ingénue,
we found serenity by serendipity
and though our tryst succeeds the lullabies,
it must to languor yield by aurora

thus, let us savour this
dalliance in a bungalow, bucolic and aglow
with the tintinnabulation of your summery lilt.

our mellifluous voices blend and
no longer is mine demure

Long In The Tooth
By: Miracle Man

I’m now eighty and considered “long in the tooth,”
And so, many former things, are now verboten.
Today, I rest, in the shadow of God’s truth,
Recounting life teachings that I’ve not forgotten.

Verboten Love

Two tortured souls in a wayward hell,
As our passion leads us to that place of pure delight.
The secrets we dare not tell,
Dreams tossed down the wishing well,
of forbidden love and secret lies,
Pain inflicted and long lost lies.

A love that burned too deep,
A secret I'm trying to keep,
Your embrace is my safe harbor,
and your presence is my haven.

I tried to hide my beautiful scars that reminds me,
Who I was, who I am and who I'll never be again.
As each morning unfolds of me everyday,
You came and made me forget all this things.

I know that sins are reckoned,
A sin of the deepest dye.
I would turn my back on things supernal,
Gladly would barter my hopes of heaven and all the bliss of eternity.

For never a joy that angels are keeping,
to lay my feet at paradise.
As your strong arms slowly creeping
to lay there for a little while.

To know for a moment you are mine,
I would bear unending tortures sweetly,
with not a murmur and not a moan.
A lighter sin or a lesser error.
No fear and hell has no terror.
He's not mine and i don't think he ever will be...

No Tomorrow

The cavernous cave- leading
Nowhere, yet I creep into it
Like a forbidden lover for
His verboten beloved.
-
Those ghastly howls of
The creatures unknown,
Lost and a little hopeless,
I traversed.
-
Shadows of the dead,
Walking beside me,
Not willing to believe,
Yet I walk.
-
From that crooked rock,
A shush did creak,
I shushed it back,
'Silence here, nothing more'*
-
In the middle, I reached,
The sky now gone,
Laid rest on the rock,
God, stop with this song.
-
From far of the tunnel,
Resembling a wave came
Gushing in, sweeping,
Away the pain.
-
Body ripped in pieces,
Soul detached for good,
Hair turned to threads,
God, it this where you stood?
-
Repent, the end is nigh.
Repent I did,
Silence became me and
I, a memory.

I Write About
By Franklin Price
8/24/2016

I write about most everything
Things we say and do
Things that we all think about
Food for thought for me and you

You don't have feel the same
Although that would be fun
Just want to get you thinking
Then maybe both of us have won

Don't climb much on a soap box
Try to give an overview
Unlike the slanted media
I'm trying something new

No subject is verboten
These are things I need to write
Sometimes they wake me early
Or they keep me up at night

People and, things I care about
As I travel through my days
If I dwell some on subject
I'm just going through a phase

I love it when you comment
And either do or not agree
I'm just happy that you read my write
And thought enough to write to me

The Passion Fruit

There stood a tree
Bare and alone
Many storms had left it torn.
The branches wept
The leaves were gone
No more birds sang their song.
But far above
Their hung a fruit
Passion drenched through the roots
It hung forlorn, barely connected
Many passersby’s assumed it was defected.
But then one day
A man walked by
Fascinated, he let out a sigh
Where did it come from?
Surely it did not fit in here
How was it being nourished in all this gloomy fear?
He held it in the palm of his hand
And smelled it’s ripeness, longing for it to land
But as he pushed it to his lips
It began to drip, drip, and drip
The essence of its juice made his hands begin to bleed
For it was a forbidden fruit he had to leave
Baffled by his reaction
To this ravishing satisfaction
Startled by this moment of unusual pleasure
He knew in his heart he had to leave it forever.
He wiped his hands on that verboten tree
And mournfully knew he had to let that fruit be.

Darkness In the Light

A dark light, in a sea of bright,
Uncertainty,
Certainly,
Inconsistently inclined against the norm,
Forcing light to the fringes of dark,
Making subtle advancement,
Into a land that was not.
Now feeling unstable to the point of no recognition,
To the point of discomposure,
Until thoughts employ emotion,
Until engaging one's self,
becomes equivalent to vexation,
into a world where affection is verboten,
and perception of ideology is stigmatized.
A dark light, in a sea of bright,
Certainty,
Certainly, the dark will burn out,
And light will shine bright,
As the nebulous depressive state,
Of which he stands,
Will be entirely cast over,
By a portrayal of faith,
By a true belief,
By the optimism of one,
As a euphoric ecstasy takes all control,
Leaving optimism to combat doubt,
And pessimism to absolve confidence.

Prie-Dieu

April's roses scent inebriates every sense
below the Gothic cathedral
cardinals doze
draping their wings over
evergreen plants
foreshadowing a cool sunset
griffins guard the bell-tower
hampering the intruders
inflicting fear on the jackals
jaundiced they hide into a jalopy
kapok is soft as cotton
ladybugs allow no sleep
manifesting vulgar wit
nibbling on naugat
oblitaring any sweetness
prie-dieu is her comfort
quickning my understanding
ravishing the merry opus
shedding light on her faith
tending toward forgiveness
unquestionable in its promise
verboten to dishonor it
wimple as sworn devotion
xenophobe not permitted
yodeling is immense praise
zither plays a Gregorian chant

Chillin"

it's almost sundown
I checked the clock
It's almost Thanksgiving
Everything's soaked
Rescued carrots from rain thawed dirt
Hot soup eased the chill
cool chablis eased the pain
Cat keeps sliding from blue jeans lap
to resettle higher and slowly reslide
Claws are verboten
She knows
Time for a refill
This poem's done
Cat's at the window
studying darkness

Verboten

Breathe seductive it touches my superstition craving your instincts I cant speak in
fear
of isolation cradle your serenity with manipulated premonitions motives of
indiscretion
abandoned by stray inspiration a metaphor that leaves us vulnerable and
bittersweet
broken
yet victorious. Aroused by fascinations of pleasure captivated by hypnotized
surroundings
the
obsession torn by September rain, revive those trembling confessions drenched
with
deception
see past the disguise and offer a solution with passionate eyes. Tame the dahlia
of
natural
redemption the want is savage the thrill is the remedy over take this creation and
satisfy
the
agony do the impossible and please me after so many shouts of blasphemy.
Serpent of
emptiness I surrender in your mist secrets will be kept at this alter emotional
cleansing
set in
versus verboten.

The Midwife
Written: by Tom Wright
2006

The mind is the midwife that delivers
each thought of man when bidden.
The man who says he's nothing to hide
is the man with it previously hidden?

The greater hurt lies in what we know
Than in things perhaps we don't.
While Jesus sees and knows all things
To spin a yarn to others he won't.

So thoughts the midwife births today
May be decent or perchance verboten.
But either way you can rest assured
They sprout legs or soon forgotten.
