Something Seen
Something Seen
Miracle Man
November 6, 2023
In mind’s dusty corner and fast asleep,
a memory lies dormant that’s Verboten.
But on sundry occasions it dares to creep,
and though forgiven it’s not forgotten.
Something witnessed while not an adult,
painted an indelible picture on my being.
There wasn’t any in whom I would consult,
so I accepted the fact there was no unseeing.
Those involved long since have passed,
but to this memory I’ve always been a slave.
Periodically in my life I’ve felt downcast,
this book closes when I’m in my grave.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean that I forgive the act,
just that I forgive them for having done it,
Romans 3:23
“for we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;”
