Who will bell the cat?
No use with a chat
Don't embrace combat
Pains come with no end
Keep your mind unbend
Let pride not involve
Think how to evolve
Be gutsy to solve

Careful in your tread
None takes up your stead
Stop not; go ahead
Worry not for mocks
Care not foolish talks
Face the stumbling blocks
Pick the way to wend
Grab success, my friend!

Ghosts of Conquest, Roots of Rebellion

They came with flags, with fire, with steel,
Spoke of trade, yet came to steal.
Lands once free, now marked and chained,
A stranger's law, a tyrant's reign.

They mapped the sky, they named the trees,
Measured rivers, claimed the seas.
Their words replaced the native tongue,
Ancient songs left unsung.

Not just land—our minds they took,
Rewrote the past in gilded books.
Fed us myths, erased our lore,
Left us questioning once more.

But seeds remember, roots hold tight,
Through cracks, we rise, reclaim the light.
For chains can break, and minds unbend—
A story stolen finds its end.

When you pack a life, you pack a soul.
A tapestry of memories, tales untold.
Each cherished moment, tenderly whole,
To be packed away, a bittersweet bold.

When facing mental and literal grime.
To pack for an unknown trip on time.
A dance with nostalgia, a delicate art,
To gather the fragments, piece by part.

There is a profound stillness in the room.
As blaze pictures and messages to consume.
Stale, antique odors of books and art.
Floats across the air as the mind starts

Each item holds a story, a chapter in time,
To be stated, akin to a tiny wrap, is sublime.
Tokens of happiness and signs of pain,
The tangible remnants of a life's refrain.

The clock ticks softly, as memories unbend.
Through the hands that touch, stories trend.
Each object holds a piece of one's soul,
A window into a life, a world once whole.

The packing continues, a dance of reflection,
As the past and present merge in introspection.
Each item is carefully wrapped, with love and care,
Preserving the essence of a life's wear and tear.

After the last item, a closure grips the room.
A silent trip ended, and a fresh era beckons to bloom.

My Love For You Olivia

How is it that you are real?
My dreams never created something like you.
I still have to pinch myself,
Because I’m amazed you are true.Tap To Copy
I always think of you, in my sleep, in my dreams,
I always think of you, all night all day, hoping you’re alright,
I always think of you, wishing that you were thinking of me too, every minute, every second of the day, I think of you,
I really do, all because…. I love you
I never really knew you
you were just another friend
But when I got to know you
I let my heart unbend
I couldn’t help past memories
That would only make me cry
I had to forget my worst past
And give another try
So I’ve fallen in love with you
And I’ll never let you go
I love you more and more
I just had to let you know
My feelings for you will never change
Just know my feelings are true
Just remember this one thing
I will always...Love you Olivia!

The calendar is no longer a friend, its messages are clumsy
numbers working with the clock to drift her from men’s fantasy
that’s all she thinks of, life’s self acclaimed orphan
with a lonely heart, she curses every evening and bellows
everything romantic is now a sent agent of her torture
a kissing couple, the obsidian of her own eruption
others in her league, happily live beyond this need
matrimony is just one viola-type in the pancy garden of life
she values their strength coming from whom are her spoil-sports
but a dwelling is without walls, if not blessed with marital affection
age is marking her as late, for the time to reproduce
“I need a man” she screams it, this vacuum is inflatable
the edges of her circle come closer and are almost in contact
it’s time for the right person to be her hero and unbend her lines.

Premium Member As Yet Unresolved

We so carefully respect the boundary
Placed around us by society
A sly smile, a covert glance
That we cannot name romance

For rules it's wrong, for souls it's right
As we slip into the deep night
And discover each other
I boil to be your lover

I'm drifting off as you say
Just listen to me talk, it's ok
Nothing could unbend my smile
I think I'd like to stay a while

But I have to leave, it's getting late
Where will this go? We'll have to wait

Premium Member Wide Are Eyes That Weep In Silence

Wide are eyes that weep in silence.
My spirit stolen, my opinion veiled,
fettered harmony at hand…
Wide are eyes that weep in silence.
Character stolen
My will the same,
Peace gained without comment,
Logic eludes rationale.
Chained as I am,
Shackled in time,
My feelings oblique,
More than one I am.
Fault given
Quickly I realize,
Chained, you are too.
Chained you are.
To your goodness
To your God,
Chained, and you are glorious,
Chained, you are sublime.
Living out of the ordinary
Shrouded in righteousness,
You judge…
You see…
Parting only by promise
Committed am I,
Only then will my chains unbend…
Wide are eyes that weep in silence.

Premium Member Natures Perfection

With first breath, the wakeful light of dawn sings
an adoration of morning prayer
nature's eternal temperate sweet air,
charmed ensemble of fluttering bird's wings.

Pink, yellow, blue buds up-staring unbend
Dance under breaking clouds that saunter by
Lacing sunlight. Good-bye! Good-bye, so shy
Blue dragonfly, ascend to heaven, friend.

Under untrimmed budding magnolia shade
toward blinding sleepy eye sun. To short
the lease that directs your favor to court
in undisturbed possession through the glade.

Tortoise Beetle, with your gold complexion
and the splendor of natures perfection.

Premium Member Hunchbacked Dreams

Into the wild scatter your docile dreams,
Like animals from rusted cages freed,
For seamless years hunchbacked by low-slung beams,
Now through ceilings of boughs can boldly feed
On oracles hung in the new-glimpsed sky,
Telling of the courage of late-fledged wings,
Paroled from pauses and a fearful sigh,
Bound for air so sapphire, the heart’s eye blinks.
Unbend those yearnings, lest they die craven,
For too long have they been told, it’s too late;
Let them be by this world unforgiven,
Or with waiting destiny at last mate.
Retake the time when life’s freshness thundered,
Before youth was by dreamless toil plundered.

My Love At 50

I wish for my true love and dearest friend
Of such I find myself most undeserved
To have thee more, what grace did condescend
My life made full thy favor has preserved

I gladly then each day with thee to spend
And all thy yesteryears seem only then
As wings the winds of age could not unbend
Art still more lovely at two score and ten

I pray the silver on thy head would not
Distraught thy mind the coming days unfold
For I as thee shall fade just like a cloth
Until within reveals thy heart is gold

This world will pass with all that we adore
I wish till then, to love you, only more

Politicos prattle
their prating rattle,
will such rantings ever cease ?

Smugly they sanctimone
as listeners,inward groan;
With theories,so unreal
hypothesising on how we feel;

Will such arrogance condescend
listen,or unbend-
or is it all just talk
sans hard yards of walk.

Trust me,it won't happen again !

Death Always Wins At the End

LXXIX
Death always wins the struggle at the end
Despair without delay then comes unbend
Depress the mind that often would extend
Discourage hearts when all our strength we spend
Despite of this we seldom condescend
Defeat to that which we cannot contend
Defend ourselves from whom we must depend
Disproves to us that death is not our friend
Deserted grave lay open that was lend
Dark emptiness three days that need expend
Due to the Lord of life the cave did rend
Delivers hope to all that he would send
Delightful day when heaven’s Lord descends!
Death’s reign ends when our soul to Christ commend

Chicago's been dubbed the windy town,
but Great Falls has that tag nailed down.
If you're facing Montana's fierce wind,
you're moving where you didn't intend.

Prairie grass rolls like ocean waves,
tumbleweed mounds resemble graves.
Aspen leaves' fluttery swirls abound,
scarcely settling their golden mound.

Longhorns stay bunched within a draw,
hoping the wind will soon lose claw.
Snow gusts into drifts high and wide,
pickups and hay-balers shrouded inside.

Who sent this wild, careless wind
the bronco busters cannot unbend?
This, I suppose, could be left unsaid:
Keep those Stetsons jammed on your head!

I Love You

Theme: chance meeting
8/4/14

I never really knew you,
You were just another friend,
But when I got to know you,
I let my heart unbend,

I couldn't help past memories,
That would only make me cry,
I had to forget my first love,
And give love another try,

So I've fallen in love with you,
And I'll never let you go,
I love you more than anyone,
I just had to let you know,

My feelings for you will never change,
Just know my feelings are true,
Just remember this one thing,
I will always love you,
