Premium Member Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise as an actor and stunt performer is no chump.
Diminutive, in movies he runs just as fast as Forrest Gump.

Like Jackie Chan, he'll leap off a cliff with a grin on his face -
talk about " Risky Business " - to save the entire human race.

all i see is tail
closer i get to window
we have a face off

squirrels have no nerve
their daring little creatures
who fear nothing

Premium Member Ode To My Cat Tom

As a young child my mind goes back to Tom,
a pure dark gray old tom cat.
We went visiting in the town next door,
when Tom took up with me.
The neighbors said,
they had never seen him before.
We took him home,
giving him a bath then food and milk.
I dressed him up in my doll clothes,
then gave him a baby bottle of cold milk.
Tom was my real baby doll disguised as a cat,
and he loved it.
We both had many wonderful hours of fun,
as Tom got extra rubs with cold milk.

Looking In

While out walking late last night
wondered who it was I saw
slinking by your bedroom window
lurking 'round your back door
when I shouted 'Who goes there?”
they ran like hell didn't tarry
those I'd seen could well have been any
peeping Tom Dick and Harry

Legend Of Tom Dula

They say Tom Dula didn't do it
As it says in the Folk Song
They say Tom Dula didn't do it
And they got the verdict wrong
Some say it was Colonel Grayson
Among the suspects named
Some say it was Colonel Grayson
And they had Tom Dula framed.

Some say it was a triangle
One of love passion and hate
With him being an innocent
But for Tom Dula far too late

For if a verdict is wrong
And they come to realise
After applying a Death Penalty
It’s too late to apologise
They say Tom Dula didn't do it
As it says in the Folk Song
They say Tom Dula didn't do it
And they got the verdict wrong

Premium Member Tom Sawyer

Missouri lad, Tom Sawyer -
these days could have been or maybe would have NEEDED a lawyer!
He got the neighbor kids to think it fun to paint a fence for him,
and with his friend, Huck Finn, played pranks on a whim.

Mark Twain's beloved character in his novel "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer"

Premium Member Tom and Jerry

Cat and mouse Tom and Jerry
forever chasing through the library
they’re really true blue best of friends
though both refuse to make amends

Jack and Tom share the same foe
They run from Carver's deathblow
	Carver delivers
	giblets and slivers
eaten with a fine Bordeaux!

When Tom Understood Jerry

I hated him,
fought with him,
threw words sharp enough to cut.

I called him a psycho,
as if he was
and he—
he just nodded,
as if guilt was his to bear.

He took my beatings,
my storms,
without a single strike back.

And when I broke,
when tears came like floodwater,
he didn’t turn away.
He pulled me close,
patted my hair,
and whispered,

“It’s okay… I will be with you.”

That was the moment,
like Tom understanding Jerry,
we stopped being enemies—
and became something more.

Premium Member Who Is Tom?

Its been a long time since I’ve felt blissful,
I know I’m the one to shoulder any blame.
Bliss ended long before years turned golden,
too many matters I’ve allowed to inflame.

I’ve always been, for the most part, a loner,
crowds and idle chit chat I’ve tried to avoid.
Married sixty years to the same woman,
Just two D.I.N.K.S. one in need of Freud.

But surveying the past changes nothing,
so musings should focus on time unspent.
But the future holds no aspirations for me,
it’s just about time to take down the tent.

But throughout my life I have been blessed,
faith in God has seen me through each test.

Dear Tom

Dear Tom

If I had the courage to speak from the heart
Ladybirds of redness would sing from
It.
I imagined my pain was of your making
But it was only the making of life.
Now I'm alive like a ladybug.
Still small but making my way bravely
Forward and backward and forward again.

Now more smoothly and flying at times.

Dear Tom
If I could speak from my heart
I'd say
Nails have been stuck in my chest
After you left.
I cared about each one of your steps
I could not witness you make.
It was the kind of loving I wanted for myself.

Dear Tom.
Your silence is empty like a heart that's
Been shut -
But I give myself to it and I'm full of it
Now.
I call things for what they are
Too. Do you hear ?
Cause shying away from the heart
Keeps it shut.

Dear Tom
I imagined you could be my home but
This was my bad.
Like I could have owned your being and
Fill it with mine.
That's not loving, that's owning.
Colonising. I retract.

Dear Tom,
I honour your spirit.
May it be freer and freer
With each day like a ladybug
That flies it's own
Own
Own way.
