Tom Sawyer

Missouri lad, Tom Sawyer -
these days could have been or maybe would have NEEDED a lawyer!
He got the neighbor kids to think it fun to paint a fence for him,
and with his friend, Huck Finn, played pranks on a whim.

Mark Twain's beloved character in his novel "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer"

A creative clerihew that flows well and tells an interesting story. Highly original rhyming scheme also which I liked. Well done, Andrea, Howard

I enjoyed reading that book to my children. I also read it to some 5 and 6 grade students hoping it would inspire them to read. Thanks for sharing this one with us. If for a contest, it reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. Sara K

Delightful reads. I think Mark Twain would have confiscated all Video Games. A mess. And had his characters paint all the parents Stupid. Different era, but you know what I mean.
