LET GO

Let go of some talks
Not all talks are talks
You can't swim
More than a frog
Stop showing off
Because you can't
Have it all
Everyone got what they lack.

Don't take some walk
Not all walks are walks
Some you might not return
You can't be brighter
Than Sirius
You're just a minus
Because you'll die one day.

You can't flock with all
Let go of some folks
You can't tell the time
More than the clock
Base on our programming
You live with
What you have or know.

Premium Member Facebook Soul

Here I found my peace of mind
I’m a facebook freak
In dark waters of my time
I can swim or sink
No one watches me when I
Languidly pass through
Posts of groups to which I’m signed
And some posts of you
I’m a scapegoat to the world
So I don’t talk much
If they need to share absurd
I am out of touch
Sharing mostly pleasant sights
I’m a facebook soul
I believe in you, despite
You’re not here at all
Once upon a time there were
Two of us, now one
Then one day comes down a blur
And there will be none.

Ocean wake

Longing for a rest

Decides time for a break

Reaching land, sounding a thunderous shake

Delivering crimson colors, courtesy of a spring friendly pest

Ocean wake

Hiding deadly evils, created with mother nature's stake

Cleaning up the murderous dining hour debatable test

Decides time for a break

Pondering action of a perceived, underwatering menacing fake

Presenting bridging evidence, hoping the harboring fugitive will confess

Ocean wake

Protecting situation, it did make

Creating a bloody mess

Decides time for a break

Remember when flowing in a timid lake

Where rough behavior is less

Ocean wake

Decides time for a break

summer delight

Summer heat swelters.
The first cool dip in the pool
brings lovely surcease.

Rings And Things

If you want to participate
in the pool events
at the Olympic rings
you literally have to be
right in the swim of things
and you really ought
to be on top of things
if the balance beam
is your sport
or if it's high jump hurdles
or pole vault
you should get over them
to a fault
the Olympic rings were created
giving athletes wings
by Charles Pierre de Frédy Baron de Coubertin
dubbing him 'Lord of the Rings'

The Fat Frog

Creeeek! He croaks at night.
The Fat Frog hops in green pond.
He swims in silence.

Sands Of Time

If it's not too late
and you can relate
I'll state my position
as my fate I await
destiny or volition
as it is writ
in the fullness of time
the fan it will hit
meanwhile I'll
follow my dream
go against the flow
and swim upstream

I fear anger fills our world like tidal waves as hope struggles to swim

Swim

Cool lapping water
Gentle, floating, protected
Swimming, my safe place

Our swim tonight

Inspired by... A romantic swim in the moonlight. A lovely scene in a show.

Our swim tonight
By Michelle Morris
12/12/2025

I love the way you look tonight
Here in the quiet moonlight
Memories of when we were seventeen
You are my love, my cheerleading team

I love the way the moon shines bright
And I just want to kiss you right
Make more memories forever and a day
For a love in our hearts, here to stay

I love this water, so still and warm
Our swim tonight is the perfect dawn
A brand new chapter of our love affair
Let's never forget our moments of care

I love the idea of our future together
We're strong and happy, built for forever
All the ups and downs, joy and sorrow
Makes it all sweeter for our tomorrows

I love you darling, I know you love me
Together forever, we'll always be
And when we're old and grey one day
We'll remember these times with happy faces

Upstream, Downstream

Time is a river or so it is said
forever flowing to the sea
it knows where it goes
and with no guarantee
either sink or swim
in our own special way
we all test the waters
each and every day
there are some who do need a push
and they may lose or win
yet I will always go out on a limb
hold my head up and jump right in
without any second thoughts
unafraid to get my feet wet
altho' I can count on being caught by the current
there's no such thing as a safe bet

Lake Victoria

My parents they did take me
when but a child
to the shores of Lake Victoria
where, after a while,
with not much more to do
but admire the view,
my Mother noticed,
patience wearing thin,
bubbles rising...
yes, you guessed,
always causing trouble, I had waded in.
“Oh, for heaven's sake,
you may want to save your son,”
was the comment she did make.
“What!” my Father he replied,
“Me, jump in the lake?”
“Afraid of Nile crocodiles?
Mum smiled and queried him.
“No, nothing of the sort,
it's just that... I can't swim!”
Dad sternly did retort.
What more can I say, words they fail,
other than,
“Mother rescued me that day
and here am I to tell the tale.”

Premium Member I like to swim, but how'd I get here?

For replacement election maps
Texas jumps when Don’s finger snaps
If he keeps control
Trump’s gold toilet bowl
Is where we'll all swim when he craps
