His Future Went To Swim

His future went to swim
by shores of Lake Wisdom
Now he is in shark’s stomach
shouting for rescue squad
not aware they are in recess

Ocean

Each tear I drop
will build
the vast ocean
we'll have in between
there won't be a way
to swim
and the other side
reach.

The cutest thing I've ever seen
Swimming about, relaxed, serene

Sweet tongues whisper venom words
Cold hearts bleed and sweaty palms,

Twisted minds fold from the heat of cold stove.

Sometimes, compassion seems alien; a rare visitor.
Within the waters of the human heart; compassion can be found.

I was teaching my cat to swim,
His pussy face looked so grim,
Dad said, "Make the lessons shorter,
