"because of its inherent qualities
I don't know what to say
the ship in the harbor

every step of the way
it might sound crazy
maybe I'm insane
I saw blackbeard neath the pelmet
just the other day
I aint got no issues
she replaced theJolly Roger
with a pink and blue pelmet
I saw her blackbeard
I couldn't look away
thar she blows
I know there I go
Neath the pelmet
I saw blackbeard
Dobros get your jolly
she told us all
strangers in the night
a ship big and tall
thar she blows
and there I go
i saw a blackbeard neath her pelmet

From scratching a living,
mighty civilisations rose.
The first idiot
to get on the back of a horse knows
more than all
the philosophers pontificating.
The stupid step forward
while everyone else is waiting.
Thankfully,
the smartest could never persuade
the foolish from all
the bad decisions they made.

I was playing with my cat
And everything was fine
Until my cat saw I rat
Well, not one but mine
I got worried
And run after my cat
But my cat just hurried
And ran after a rat
My cat lost track
As my rat ran into a hay stack
My cat suddenly heard
The chirping of a bird
"Oh no!", I said
I was very tired
But my cat started to head
Towards the bird unbothered
My cat suddenly hit a pole
And got hurt bad
I held my cat whole
Feeling very sad
On my cat, I'd never keep a grudge
Because I love my cat very much
As I have wondered through the halls of old,
the minds of famous scribes in academia
had made me fearless, oft carelessly bold

Long years of uninformed populous dour
with magniloquent thinking that poetry can.
Yet I contemplate books in warehouse—
dyslexia transformed it into ‘wh…house’—
endless mirth that others could never douse.

"Yellow is a bright and fun color to enjoy." By Poet
My husband and I met,
many years ago.
After writing weeks of letters,
he was coming to visit me for a few days.
Yellow was my then boyfriend's favorite color,
I was going to be a fun surprise for him.
The engines of the airplanes roared,
just like my nervous stomach.
I was dressed in all yellow from head to toe,
looking like a big bee with a huge smile.
When he got off the airplane,
he said, "you look breathless."
Then we both laughed until we cried,
I may have looked stupid but he loved it.
I chose this moment because it set the stage for our life together. He was coming to see me. We had first met a few weeks before. I wanted to impress him. Knowing yellow was his favorite color, I knew I would be in yellow. I went to many stores finding yellow from a head scarf to shoes. Every line was easy to write because it was a fun part of our life. I removed the part about him staying with my girlfriend and her husband because it was not about yellow or the airport. To this day, we still laugh about this airport meeting.
what kind of faerie are you? Someone asked the pretty being.
The rest of the faeries tittered and whistled, readily seeing…
she was the pear faerie, a guardian of that light green fruit.
some of the rudest ones continued to make fun and hoot.
The president’s bombing kids again.
Blood on the ground, ash in the air,
schools and playgrounds destroyed the same.
And I’m sitting in my ing rose garden,
silk garments pristine and
picking past the petals stained red,
nose clogged with the scent of flowers in the air
and not those that lie mangled,
torn to pieces,
eternally tormented on the ground.
What a privilege it is to be removed,
to have my head buried in this American soil,
ears chock-full of it so the only sounds
that bypass my earthen defenses
are high-pitched laughter
and commands to bend low
under the current state of affairs.
And bend low I do,
down to the bushes that haven’t been maimed,
the stems of elderly jade
that prospered by disturbing no one
and instead shining with untouched beauty.
My heart turns to stone with every headline,
that same jade replacing vein after vein.
Soon enough I’ll be a statue of enchanting green,
dazzling in the sun,
mouth open too late in a silenced cry
in my own damn rose garden.
small motivation
and large consumption
i hate it within all
but i ride just the same
and now i want it just as bad
not just for the feeling
but for what it shows
for that small motivation
and large corruption
It’s a great exaggeration
Which I never understand
Why is it deemed an immigration
To spend a week in their land?
Just to see their homes and grass
Their gardens and the trees
But it seems they cannot grasp
The idea that it’s me
Lil’ old me who’s not a nation
But an owner of my mind
Stamped by generalization
That I never need to bind
I might be their mean projection
Thrown into the litter bin
A distorted strange reflection
Mirrored in the darkened screen
Brought my bank account statement
But it didn't work this time
There was no source of savings
Application was declined
Got the letter in spam folder
Their email made my day
They protected their border
And for this I had to pay
So goodbye the V&A
Farewell, The Leaping Horse
There’s no place around to stay
‘Cause my savings have no source
I was silly, they were stupid
But the right was on their side
It cost me two thousand quid -
I think highly of mankind!
You did not steal with hands or gun,
No gold was taken in the sun,
But hearts were robbed of gentler things—
Of trust, of bread, of blossoming springs.
You cast your mark and turned away,
And thought the world would bloom as May,
Yet winter came with hollow eyes,
And children wept beneath the skies.
Your silence signed the cruel decree,
Your comfort bought their misery,
And though your purse was never filled,
Your soul grew lean, your mercy stilled.
The thief need not break locks or bars—
He steals the light from out the stars;
And in that night, both thief and king
Are bound by one unholy ring.
So count your coins, and guard your name—
The ledger knows, and writes in flame;
For every lie that power tells,
Your vote for him made you a thief as well.
Today I decided to get work done on my car, but a simple conversation was taken too far
Got damn Stupid He always wanna start with me
He needs to just learn how to let things be
He blows things out of proportion, makes me mad and cuss
For Stupid He and Stupid Me, we just had a fuss
I always say don’t give no one that much power
To keep you angry inside and out, hour after hour
He wanted his friend to fix the part
But not the part of my shattered heart
I don’t want his friend doing nothing for me
So I brought my car to the mechanic and paid them the fee
Why did Stupid He keep on calling and calling
Did he think Stupid Me would even want to be bothered
So as I sit here and think in this stupid car shop
I turned my cell phone off so the ringing would stop
Stupid He always tends to bring up the past
Stupid Me tends to think this love will last
Lately when I see him I don’t have the same glow
For the feelings I was feeling, I’m not feeling no mo
Stop being so mean, Stupid He is so rude
Makes Stupid Me ever wonder why I still f… with this dude
We're surrounded, or so it seems to me,
by some strange and stupid sayings,
as examples, here's but three...
Altho' outdated, 'How do you do?' is one,
and, if so asked, 'How do I do what?'
my response would be.
Another such, 'It's stunning!'
'Incapacitating' perhaps?
I think not, something there needs shunning.
Also, 'It's brilliant!', is another,
and, my thoughts about it,
'Sparkling, shiny at twilight time?'
I seriously doubt it.
But why are so many Brits compelled
to repeat these inanities, and who thinks them up?
More importantly, I'd like to apply for that job,
as I could conjure up even worse insanities.
